I'm new to bathbombs, slsa, poly....all of those things(!). Your video was so informational for product AND great ideas and tips. Thanks so much for helping clear some questions. Loved the embeds and colors. Just wow!!
I love your video!! So helpful, especially when you show how the different embeds had different results. I wonder why the red didn’t work well whereas the amethyst was amazing.
Thank you. Well, I haven’t watched the video in a long while, but if I’m not mistaken, the red had slsa in it so it didn’t react as fast as the others. This is why I do all of my embeds basic fizzers, this way it’s different than my main bath Bomb mix. When the water reaches the embeds it will fast fizz forcing the color to shoot out of the bomb and create bath art!
I don't do Facebook so it's to bad for me on asking to join a group. However, I'm trying to understand the concept of asking to join a group for purchasing powdered colorants...Extremely interesting. Oh, I loved your video... the colors are indeed gorgeous!!
Well, that video is a bit older. At one point, that was the only way to get them as Maria is in the U.K. But now she has them available on her website which is www.eazycolours.co.uk. She ships worldwide. The benefit of being in the group is that she has all the information there in the files regarding these colorants like msds, all the safety info and info in colors that are FDA approved for USA. The group is filled with very helpful people and it's a place for sharing ideas and your products and video demos. If you are in the USA, you may use all the colors for personal use. If you plan on selling your products with using these colorants, the only FDA approved FD&C colors that are batch certified are the red, yellow and blue that you MUST buy in the kilos to be batch certified. You can make a bunch of colors by mixing those three colors. It is well worth the money for the kilos as they will last forever. Lol. I've purchased mine and they are the best colors out there and you need very little to get the vibrancy.
I loved this! I'm currently waiting for my Easy Colour dyes to come and I was becoming nervous about how they will perform. All my worries are at ease after watching this. That purple was to DIE for.
Yes. The purple is to die for. That is the Amethyst which is not FDA approved and batch certified to use in products you sell in the USA. Any other country can use them no problem. Ugh. Available now batch certified and FDA approved is Red28 and that is a bright pink and then the new purple which was made with the red28. Still very pretty. This is an old video, but I still use the amethyst for personal use which is completely fine.
So, I am new to making bath bombs and have not tried yet. I bought mica powders as I do not want to use anything not natural and safe. I also don't want to use polysorbate 80 in them. Will this still work if I mix the micas with alcohol before mixing for the bombs not just the embed.
Is the glitter safe for the environment like the water soluable one, or is it regular glitter? I can't find the environmentally one and heard regular glittter should not be used due to plastics.
absolutely the best video i have seen you are very good at explaining things love love love this where do i buy the color at i am in the us thank you so much
Thanks so much. I am in the Eazy Colours fb group. If you'd like to join, come on over. Just know that only the Red, Yellow, and Blue are FD&C colors and are FDA approved and Batch Certified ONLY if you purchase in the Kilo amounts. You can use those three if purchased in the kilo size to put in your products to sell in the USA. All the other colors and the smaller amounts are completely legal, but not fda approved or batch certified. You can use any and all colors offered in your products for personal use. Just some info in case you join. You might want to join to look in the files for any info you need. All msds and anything else regarding these colorants is in there for you to check out to see if they are for you.
You can use them the same day as long as they are dry. Since there's no oil in it and I use alcohol as the binder, the alcohol evaporates quick and they only take a couple hours to dry.
They are Eazy Colours. Feel free to join our fb group called Eazy Colours and More: Bath Time Heaven. It's an awesome very helpful group for Eazy Colours colorant
You stated that you had painted the small daisy bomb. May I ask what you used to do so? I would love to add some small details to some of my bath bombs.
I paint my bombs with 91% alcohol and micas. If you make too runny, it will bleed. If you make too thick, you will see all the brush strokes. Just have to find a happy medium.
Artisan Loom Thank you very much for your response. This is definitely something I'm going to be experimenting with, the look of it is just so lovely. Thank you again.
You can join our fb group called Eazy Colours for starters. In the files are all the information you will need to make a decision as to if they are right for you. If you are in the USA and currently sell the bombs you make, the only FDA approved FD&C Batch Certified colors are the RED, BLUE and YELLOW all of which has to be purchased in the 1 kilo tubs. All of the other ones can be purchased to be used for personal use in the smaller amounts. When you want to order, you order from the website www.eazycolours.co.uk
Hello I was wondering I'm searching the lake colorant by crafter's choice they only have 4 colors available are you mixing these colors to make the pink and the green?
There are only 4 lakes colorants. You can mix blue and yellow to get the green. You can go to etsy and search for the Workshop Heritage and they also have a magenta which is the pink. But...I do believe I was using Eazy Colours for most of these in the video and those are dyes.
Join the facebook group called Eazy Colours. Maria sells them in there. When you do join, please read the pinned post because all the info is in there including pricing, safety, descriptions, etc.
For the same color as the amethyst you can use Red 33 in the US. Maybe not the exact same shade but pretty close. I get it from ThePersonalFormulator.com
If all the embeds were made the exact same way, why did the Amethyst embed foam up so amazingly and the others didn't? Your recipe was (BS, CA, Colorant and RA for all) Correct?
I think it was because it was a bit bigger than the small ice cube tray ones and it was freshly made It just had more fizz since it wasn't dry all the way. There was no slsa in it.
you can buy eazy colours from the UK directly at www.eazycolours.co.uk. But if you are in the United States, you can also buy from a distributor here. There are about 6 that currently sell, but I'd say go to www.krunchieboutique.com. You can get them faster than ordering from the UK.
You have to join a Facebook group called Eazy Colours and More. The admin sells them. She is in the UK, but her prices are reasonable. All the info about the colorants is in the files. All you do is message her with your order. You need very little because they are concentrated. You can find her page and join the group if you'd like. I use the colorant in most of my bath bombs which are for personal use. I use lakes colorant if I sell any as they are not FDA approved for selling in the US which is absolutely absurd. They do not stain and no Poly80 is needed. I super love them. Other countries are approved but for some reason, the US hasn't gotten on the bandwagon.
Why do embeds instead of just color part of the solution of bath bombs that you already made and put that in the middle? I've never heard of this way and am wondering the pros and cons
I already color the outside of the bombs and do a couple colors throughout and put the other colorful embeds in the center. The reason for using embeds is that they are a different mix than the bomb mix and they just fizz and when it gets to the center of the bomb, the embeds fizz out and create the bath art. and slow the bomb down.
Easy Colours are dyes and they’re super vibrant and water soluble. Micas aren’t water soluble so you’d need poly80 with mica powder and you won’t get the color you’d want in the water. Most makers including LUSh use water soluble dyes and they are available and fda approved. His is an old video, so it was way before the dyes were available fda approved in smaller amounts. I use water instead of alcohol now to get them he vibrancy they possess. Water in a fine mist spray bottle helps the bombs get rock hard as well as long as you spray and mix to stop the activation. Hope this helps. You can join EazyColours bath bombs group on Facebook if you’d like!
Well, you can order how ever much you want. I think from sample packs to 100 grams or so. All info is in the pinned post in Eazy Colours group. Wait. Are you talking about the container I store my embeds? If so, I'm not sure of the exact size. I bought the containers at Dollar Tree. Theres small ones and larger ones. I just looked at the containers and the small one says its 9.1 oz. The larger container holds 38 fl oz.
There’s no controversy except for the fact that it’s not fda approved/batch certified here in the states for commercial selling. You can buy for personal use though. This video is quite old and at that time only 3 colors were fda approved. Now there’s a lot more!
I am in a Facebook group called Eazy Colours and More and the admin in charge sells them. All the info is in the files and all you do is message her with your order. Hi hun, i tried to find the facebook group Easy Colours and More, but i can seem to find the group. is there anyway you can post a link to her page please?
Hi, I joined the group and not sure what colors are available and how to message the administrator. I left a message in the group....not sure I should do that....but I am very interested in trying these colors as a new soaper. Can you offer any more information as to colors or what to do to order? Thanks, your video was very helpful, so glad I found it!
Forgive the silly question but why? I've never seen inside the bomb from the outside view and when it's in the water it's fizzing so can't see what's in the middle. I've seen just drops of colour in the middle so it changes colour in the water. I've just started making bath bombs so I'm a bit confused.
Alanna Mendez These are embeds which are the basic fizzers that go inside the bombs and they shoot out colors and make the bath art. They are a different mix than the more complicated bomb mix.
+DB Soap Yes you can. For EazyColours, it's best to use water since they are water so,unless, but I've come accustomed to using alcohol. But you can most definitely use witch hazel.
I'm new to this how bath bombs and embed thing how can I tell when it's completely dry I tryed a few batches and the top seems hard like a rock but when I try to remove them from the tray they crumble and break apart so how can I tell when there compleatly dry ?
If you’re talking about embeds, you take them out of the mold immediately. Idk if you use a mini ice cube tray or a teaspoon, but whatever you use, take out immediately and let them sit overnight. I also put a fan toward them to help with drying. But they should be dry completely if you let them sit overnight.
Well, an embed is basically a basic fixer with just equal parts baking soda and citric acid (and colorant and binder) and my recipe for my bath Bomb has different ratio’s of baking soda and citric acid and also added ingredients like SLSA (which slows the fizz and creates foam) and butters. The point of an embed is to be a basic fizzier so when you add them to the center of your bath Bomb, they have a faster fizz and will shoot out color to create the bath art.
You can go to www.eazycolours.co.uk if you want to purchase. Not all colors are in stock, but will be shortly. Also, the group is Eazy Colours and More: Bathtime Heaven. It is a closed group and you will have to ask to join.
Usually 24 hours is what I wait, but maybe a few hours would be fine. I make sure they are rock hard. I also put a fan on them to help with drying process.
What dyes do you use. You're in Canada right? Tammy, I have to tell you that I've learned a lot from you and enjoy very much the recipes you share. I use the Butter Bomb recipe of yours a lot and it works for me. And so moisturizing.
I use alcohol when I make my embeds because it doesn’t stick to the teaspoon or whatever mold I’m using. If I use water, it seems to stick. But for my bath bombs I use water only. It dries really fast and gives you extra time to get multiple bombs made. You can use either water, alcohol or witch hazel to make the embeds.
Thanks. Last embed batches I made I practically was making a mini bomb lol. I like the way my embeds turned out after doing them like yours from this recipe. Here's a thing I'm still wondering about though...I take my dye powder in sm bowl, add a ml or 2 of distilled water, then in a large bowl put the b soda then add my colored water mix to that. At that point, I sprayed some alcohol to the colored b soda before adding my citric thinking better now then having to spray so much more after citric is added. What's your opinion on spraying alcohol into the soda before adding citric?
+Mermaidia Honestly, I don't do mine that way, but I understand why you do. It's like blooming. I usually don't do mine that way because I paint my bombs and so I most of the time have my mix white and then I rely on the embeds to give me color. But, if you add a few drops of water to your dyes and then add to your baking soda, that most likely will help with the concentration spots and make your mix a more smoother color. If I did do mine that way, I would definitely use alcohol. It's my preference because I don't want to activate my mix. If you want, you can bloom your dyes by adding the dye powder straight to your baking soda and add water and rub between your hands till it's all mixed in and you get the vibrant color you want. Then let it dry overnight to make sure it's totally dry. This way it won't activate your mix once added to citric. A lot of people make up a bunch of different colors and have it ready for when they need it. All up to you.
Thanks for your advice. I understand why you use your method a bit better now. It's all about experimenting I think and finding what works best for each of us. But honestly, I love getting tips from you because I think your bombs are simply amazing. So thanks again.
+Mermaidia Awe. Thank you! Everyone does things a bit different. I try to keep it simple. For me, blooming is a waste of time, but for others, it's the only way.
Basically, I place like 3 in one half of the round bomb and overfill with mix. Then I place like 5 in the other side and overfill with mix. Then take the two sides and push them together. The key to make the bombs spin is putting more in one side than the other so that one side is heavier. Hope this helps!
Because you want it to be a different mixture than your bath bomb mix. Embeds are fast fizzers which cause the colors to shoot out of the bomb and give the color stream.
+Chantal Roger Yes. This is an older video. Now there are EazyColours Distributors here in the USA that sell FDA approved batch certified dyes in smaller amounts. You can search for EazyColours on fb and join our group. Here is a distributor website www.krunchiboutique.com.
Thank you. I sent a request to be added. Hopefully they'll ad me soon! =) Thank you for responding. Have you had a chance to checkout my videos? I don't have many uploaded now, but I have many more coming. =)
Embeds are basically basic fixers loaded with color to put in the middle of your bath Bomb so the colors shoot out making the bath art. They are 1:1 ratio of Baking Soda and Citric Acid.
Of all the videos I have watched, this is the probably the simplest one I've seen. Love it!
That amethyst!!!!!! I could watch that foam forever💜🦄💜🦄💜🦄💜🦄
I use eazycolour here in the uk and by far the best bath bomb colourant I have tried! The amethyst is amazing
I'm new to bathbombs, slsa, poly....all of those things(!). Your video was so informational for product AND great ideas and tips. Thanks so much for helping clear some questions. Loved the embeds and colors. Just wow!!
Thank you!
They are beautiful
You're seriously the bath bomb queen! 👸I've watched all of your videos and I just live the outcome of your bombs💗
Thank you so much!
Just wondering what you used to paint your small flower? Thanks so so so much for sharing this video. ❤🧡💛💙💜💚
I love your video!! So helpful, especially when you show how the different embeds had different results. I wonder why the red didn’t work well whereas the amethyst was amazing.

Do u put the polysorb 80 in just the imbeds or both bath bombs and imbeds? Beautiful colors! Just how I like them..BRIGHT! I'll be ordering some!!
I don't do Facebook so it's to bad for me on asking to join a group. However, I'm trying to understand the concept of asking to join a group for purchasing powdered colorants...Extremely interesting. Oh, I loved your video... the colors are indeed gorgeous!!

Fantastic video, Very helpful.
I come back to this video every time!

is the glitter disolvible? Or are you using bakers glitter? Love your in chit chat...
The glitter is biodegradable. I don’t use bakers glitter. Thanks for watching!
Why did I have to start watching these?! 😁 you are awesome. Thank you.
I love your embeds for bath bombs!
Thank you!
Great video!!! Once the purple hit the water I was 😂😂😂 looks beautiful!
Thank you!

now in the embed u threw in with the gold and it foamed nicely that way u used baking soda citric acid and polysorbante 80 and alcohol to make?
I didn't use any poly80. Just equal parts baking soda & citric acid, colorant and alcohol
Hi where do you buy your colours from please and what make of glitter do you use x ty
I buy my dye from www.eazycolours.co.uk if you’re international. If you’re in the US, I use www.koalaskraftingboutique.com.
Is the glitter safe for the environment like the water soluable one, or is it regular glitter? I can't find the environmentally one and heard regular glittter should not be used due to plastics.
If you join our fb closed group Eazy Colours, available is biodegradable glitter!
Lowrain 1717 if you're in the states, Nurture Soap carries bio glitter as well.

Can we make embeds and use them the same day or do you suggest waiting for them to dry for a day or so
You can use them the same day as long as they are dry. Since there's no oil in it and I use alcohol as the binder, the alcohol evaporates quick and they only take a couple hours to dry.
Great video! Is there anywhere in Canada to get these colors?
fun to watch love the fact you like playing as well 😉
Can you tell me where you bought the amethyst colorant?? Sooo cool! Gorgeous color! Tfs! Have a great day! : )
They are Eazy Colours. Feel free to join our fb group called Eazy Colours and More: Bath Time Heaven. It's an awesome very helpful group for Eazy Colours colorant
Great...I appreciate your help!
Artisan Loom
Thank you very much for your response. This is definitely something I'm going to be experimenting with, the look of it is just so lovely. Thank you again.

For the same color as the amethyst you can use Red 33 in the US. Maybe not the exact same shade but pretty close. I get it from ThePersonalFormulator.com
Ooh Thank you!
Trish ORiley thanks
WOW they are super expensive. I'm not even going to put them in my Favorites list.
Their website is no longer

Artisan Loom thank you so much! yes I will check it out now. thank you
I sent a request to join. Thank you again :-)
With that red bath bomb powder from Crafter's Choice, do you need to add Poly 80?
+Tiffani Yes you should since they are lakes and not water soluble.
An amethyst bomb with the gold like the golden egg would just be so beautiful :)
Hi. I tried putting embeds in my bath bombs yesterday for the first time. All that I put them in cracked during drying. What am I doing wrong.
Please give us a direct link to Easy Colors. I tried looking it up with little success. Thanks for the embed tutorial! 😊
you can buy eazy colours from the UK directly at www.eazycolours.co.uk. But if you are in the United States, you can also buy from a distributor here. There are about 6 that currently sell, but I'd say go to www.krunchieboutique.com. You can get them faster than ordering from the UK.
Awesome video!

You have to join a Facebook group called Eazy Colours and More. The admin sells them. She is in the UK, but her prices are reasonable. All the info about the colorants is in the files. All you do is message her with your order. You need very little because they are concentrated. You can find her page and join the group if you'd like. Wow I need that colorant big time for my bathbombs
These are EazyColours and you can get them in the USA batch certified in small amounts at www.bathbombdyes.com
Why do embeds instead of just color part of the solution of bath bombs that you already made and put that in the middle? I've never heard of this way and am wondering the pros and cons
I already color the outside of the bombs and do a couple colors throughout and put the other colorful embeds in the center. The reason for using embeds is that they are a different mix than the bomb mix and they just fizz and when it gets to the center of the bomb, the embeds fizz out and create the bath art. and slow the bomb down.
do you put cream of tartar and clay to Any of your recipe
No I don't. It is equal parts BS and CA, colorant and spritz with 91% alcohol
Hey Trisha, just found the website...Tfs!! : )
what is the brand of glitter you use?
It’s all EazyColours
What are the ez colors made of? Are they all natural?
I live glitter, I didn't think I would but since I've had ppl request them, I just love them in the water
Me too!
I have water soluble dye powder but it's not eazy colors or lakes. Do you think I need poly?
+Mermaidia If you are using water soluble dyes, you usually don't need poly.
Thank you for your reply. That's what I was thinking too. :)
How big of a container of colorant is your amethyst? 50g?
Well, you can order how ever much you want. I think from sample packs to 100 grams or so. All info is in the pinned post in Eazy Colours group. Wait. Are you talking about the container I store my embeds? If so, I'm not sure of the exact size. I bought the containers at Dollar Tree. Theres small ones and larger ones. I just looked at the containers and the small one says its 9.1 oz. The larger container holds 38 fl oz.
Artisan Loom I think she was asking the amethyst color you have in the plastic container. What size is that?
Artisan Loom I too was wondering what size. I got the 7color in baggies but would love that size of jar u have
Excuse my ignorance but what is the controversy with the amethyst?
There’s no controversy except for the fact that it’s not fda approved/batch certified here in the states for commercial selling. You can buy for personal use though. This video is quite old and at that time only 3 colors were fda approved. Now there’s a lot more!
@@artisanloom3251 I did not know that it's not certified 🙁 it's beautiful though for sure

Artisan Loom
Thank you I thought u were sapose to let them dry inside over night thx for the advice
That amethyst was beautiful!!!
Thank you. It really is. The red wasn't that vibrant.
What's the difference between ENBEDS and BATH BOMBS Recipe?
Well, an embed is basically a basic fixer with just equal parts baking soda and citric acid (and colorant and binder) and my recipe for my bath Bomb has different ratio’s of baking soda and citric acid and also added ingredients like SLSA (which slows the fizz and creates foam) and butters. The point of an embed is to be a basic fizzier so when you add them to the center of your bath Bomb, they have a faster fizz and will shoot out color to create the bath art.
Where do u buy your colors now because Eazy Colours and more group is closed.
You can go to www.eazycolours.co.uk if you want to purchase. Not all colors are in stock, but will be shortly. Also, the group is Eazy Colours and More: Bathtime Heaven. It is a closed group and you will have to ask to join.
Artisan Loom thank you so much.
How long do they need to dry for
Usually 24 hours is what I wait, but maybe a few hours would be fine. I make sure they are rock hard. I also put a fan on them to help with drying process.
Those easy colors act very similar to our dyes
What dyes do you use. You're in Canada right? Tammy, I have to tell you that I've learned a lot from you and enjoy very much the recipes you share. I use the Butter Bomb recipe of yours a lot and it works for me. And so moisturizing.
what is the different using water and alchol
I use alcohol when I make my embeds because it doesn’t stick to the teaspoon or whatever mold I’m using. If I use water, it seems to stick. But for my bath bombs I use water only. It dries really fast and gives you extra time to get multiple bombs made. You can use either water, alcohol or witch hazel to make the embeds.
I've seen some add a carrier oil to the embed recipe. I'm wondering if I need to.
+Mermaidia I don't add any oils to mine. Just basic fizzer
For me, blooming is a waste of time, but for others, it's the only way.
is it better to Alcohol or witch hazel
Honestly, I love using 91% alcohol. I got over the smell long ago. I just think water and witch hazel gets too damp. I prefer alcohol for myself.
How much polysorbate 80 do you use in these embeds?
None! Eazy Colours need no poly80
Does that glitter dissolve?
This is an older video before I found bioglitter. It is cosmetic glitter in this video. But I now use a .002 micro glitter that is outstanding.
I would like to have seen how you use these embeds for bath bombs and how you insert them, its more a video about colour
Basically, I place like 3 in one half of the round bomb and overfill with mix. Then I place like 5 in the other side and overfill with mix. Then take the two sides and push them together. The key to make the bombs spin is putting more in one side than the other so that one side is heavier. Hope this helps!
+Artisan Loom thank you for explaining that!
while equal amounts of baking soda and citric acid, and not 2:1 ? Thanks.
Because you want it to be a different mixture than your bath bomb mix. Embeds are fast fizzers which cause the colors to shoot out of the bomb and give the color stream.
Thank you! :)
@@artisanloom3251 great explanation thanks!
Is there an easy color in canada or US?
+Chantal Roger Yes. This is an older video. Now there are EazyColours Distributors here in the USA that sell FDA approved batch certified dyes in smaller amounts. You can search for EazyColours on fb and join our group. Here is a distributor website www.krunchiboutique.com.
Where do you get the amethyst colorant at?
They are Eazy Colours. I am in a fb group called Eazy Colours that sells them.
Thank you. I sent a request to be added. Hopefully they'll ad me soon! =) Thank you for responding. Have you had a chance to checkout my videos? I don't have many uploaded now, but I have many more coming. =)
What is an embed?
Embeds are basically basic fixers loaded with color to put in the middle of your bath Bomb so the colors shoot out making the bath art. They are 1:1 ratio of Baking Soda and Citric Acid.
THANK YOU!
Please handle the utensils gently. By watching your video, I feel like getting headache.
Can you use witch hazel instead of alcohol?
Yes. You sure can.
Can you use witch hazel instead of alcohol in the embeds?
You can use witch hazel. I use alcohol, but you can. It’s certainly use witch hazel
