Formerly homeless here. The person with the eyes cut out and condom thing I can't speak for that but people live in tunnels all the time. Most people don't really realize there's a city beneath their city. The Mole People is a good read.
@Wazowski which is unfortunate when it rains, as there are homeless folks here that have been killed during flash floods that quickly fill the tunnels and sweep them away/bang them around helplessly until they either drown or pass away from the injuries. I also saw a video somewhere on UA-cam about homeless people that have made quite a good setup under Ceasers palace. (Edited to specify for folks that don’t know, that’s a hotel/casino on the strip with a prominent Ancient Greek theme and has a really neat and free animatronic statue show, at least they did pre-Covid, I haven’t been many places since this mess so I dunno what’s going on lol)
@Wazowski as someone who lives in vegas w h a t Ive only seen the homeless folk in the downtown part of the city, which is a pretty old part? Which im…not too surprised if there was like a lot of hidden shit in that part of the city?? I joke with my friends that our school over there has to have a secret passage in it or smth
Immediately said to myself when I started your post, as I commented similarly, "Mole People". 😉👌🍻 Edit: Former junkie myself, was my second thought after homelessness, that chair screams shooting gallery La-Z-Boy to me, which tbh, overlaps heavily with homelessness. Ton of em are spun, understandably and sadly so. That weight can be crushing beyond belief...
People that say it was the homeless guy: how could that be possible? The condom was full of, presumably, somewhat fresh blood. And that homeless dude was already dead. That means the blood would've already been dried up and crusty. So it couldn't have been him.
As someone who used to try to do hoaxes/args, I think you're underestimating the lengths people will go. Not just for attention, but for the artistry of it. Creative writing taken to the next level
But that's kinda why I believe it- there's very little storytelling here. It's not like they find a body or are attacked by the homeless person. There's nothing promising a next chapter. I can't imagine someone putting this much effort into a hoax with no payoff.
@@raem7846 the story itself is the payoff. The fact that you made something convincing, you got together with people and set up a convincing scene, took some striking photos, and wrote a story around them. A "payoff" only ruins the mystery. In all of my attempts I never wanted to have any conclusiveness because the idea of people having to speculate on their own was so exciting. Sometimes creating a mystery is more gratifying than creating an answer
@Anaisa Simpson also... i don't think a mentally healthy individual would regularly climb down into a cramped, dark place like that let alone willingly choose to live there
@Anaisa Simpson it can still fall under self harm, as they know it it's going to do that when they play w it. It's just not in the same level as something like cutting or suicidal ideation. More like getting the flu and allowing it to become pneumonia b/c you just don't care anymore...
@@omegapuppyttv you've obviously never been homeless. Anything that can do for a secure place to sleep WILL do. You would probably lose your damned mind if you had *any* idea how many mentally normative homeless move into places like this. Philadelphia, Vegas and Seattle all have what amounts another city in the forgotten infrastructure tunnels in those cities
this is just a homeless man honestly, the only part i find weird is the photos with their eyes cut out or the cigarette burns (which tbh could just be misogyny). the bloody condom is creepy but if you think about it, blood in semen/urine is a pretty common STD symptom, and the rate of homeless people with STDs is pretty high. OP says there was only one homeless guy in town, but if this person was living in this bridge and probably spending most of his time down there, the locals probably wouldn’t know about it edit: i’ve addressed it in the comments but the reason i suggested misogyny in regards to the photos is that the defacing of erotic photos of women, especially the cigarette burn in the genital area, could be an indicator of how this person feels about women
that's true! That is the one part of the story that I'm not as sure about, how all the town knew everyone enough. He'd have to be a pretty stealthy homeless man. But I guess it's possible.
The eye thing is actually pretty common and usually has more to do with a revulsion to being observed being "dirty". It often shows up in ppl who were severely over punished for letting ppl see them do "dirty" acts as children. Women are also way more likely to have the eye thing than men, at least to "cut them out of pictures" level.
@@SuperRat420 why don't you know? Misogyny causes every problem. Even if it's an island with no men, by damn *somehow* their problems will somehow magically be caused be misogyny. It's why feminist "solutions" just make more problems.
ok this is off topic but i just wanna say how much i appreciate you highlighting the paragraph you're currently on, i have adhd and dyslexia and trying to read along to audio is literally hell and this is the first time ive ever comfortably been able to do so 🥺
i also struggle with ADHD and I also had some "learning disability" or whatever they labeled it in middle school/high school (I went on to do the same thing in college, but at that point I had gotten so much better at it, I don't even need to do it anymore through so much practice- so I can finally enjoy books normally) where I had to listen to the audio books or recordings and follow along while I read it myself, cuz I would read over things and just not retain them in my mind, so I would have to reread the same sentences and paragraphs over and over and over again before I would finally retain what I was reading, but with the help of listening to someone reading while also reading it myself I would be able to retain the information the first time through. Again with practice it's gotten a lot better, but I still struggle sometimes. Thanks for sharing your own struggles, it makes me feel less alone and more comfortable sharing my own.
I live in the U.K, it’s pretty common to find abandoned/partially unused buildings cos it’s such an old country yano, and ive found a lot of weird sort of settings like this around me, I haven’t been in many abandoned buildings but squatting and sneaking into them to get drunk is very common
Yeah, one of my english friends mentioned this to me one time. Like people would just have raves in abandoned buildings. That wouldn't really happen in the US.
I remember reading this on Reddit and was more sad than creeped out. As many other comments mentioned, this was probably the makeshift home of a homeless person. I want to add that he or she probably lives with mental health issues. All the items found in the photos point to these facts. The outlier is the bloody condom, which I believe is the special thing that gives the story that essential creepypasta feeling. We are probably all assuming that whatever happened with the condom was undoubtedly sexual, weird, and sadistic in nature, but it's quite possible that the condom, much like the milk jug, was used in a different way than it was originally intended.
Could also be cause a lot of stds can cause blood in the urine and other bodily liquids, so it could’ve been a way from preventing it to get everywhere
Oh I remember this story! There’s a lot of weird stories like this around reddit, where people stumble upon a houseless person’s living situation and freak out - like the person might have thought there was only one person living on the street but there might have been more, just not in plain sight. I feel like these things are blown out of proportion a lot of the time.
Personally i think this shit is super gross. The way they talk about the homeless i mean. Tryna make em seem dangerous even tho they are super fucking vulnerable themselves. Its disgusting
@@banquetoftheleviathan1404 I do agree in a way. There's no denying this is creepy as hell given all the context, but instantly jumping to the conclusion that this was all some demented killer or something is kinda weird to say the least.
@יעקב ייגר I am it's just that I actually talk to them and get to know them instead of acting all scared. Plus I never said all homeless people. Most people don't think in black in white terms like that. you might wanna grow up
I wouldn't think it was anything more than maybe a place a normal homeless person lives except for the pornography with eyes gouged out and burns on the genitals. Very twisted and fucked up imo
I really appreciate that you don’t put scary background music. I love creepy stuff but I never liked the creepy music a lot of people use because it feels like it gives me so much unnecessary anxiety
A lot of these channels also put such creepy music on the dumbest things that I can't even watch them. The video could be about how there's a weird-shaped rock in the parking lot with that creepy music playing, I can't take that stuff seriously.
They don't give me anxiety personally but I hate when there is music because it makes it hard for me to focus on the voice of the person, and I don't like having my volume very high so if there's loud ass music just blasting in the background I'm not able to hear whoever is talking
Oh i was just watching a video about this story yesterday, and today you post one about it ! I discovered you with the Evilstick video and i love the whole vibe of your channel. Keep going
Ive driven under that bridge countless times. Im going think about this story every time from now on. Its the railway bridge over the A55 next to Colwyn Bay in North Wales.
although i think it probably is just a homeless person, i find the idea that its somebody living a double life to be quite interesting. we hear about that trope a lot but usually it has something to do with an affair or taking business trips, but someone just doing who knows what in a bridge where the only entrance is a manhole...? it could be a good premise for a thriller movie or novel
Just found her channel randomly through recommendations - thanks youtube! This is the second video I'm watching of her (first one was the evilstick) and I already love her content.
right!? i just started watching her a week ago and she’s already been growing a lot but i love her content. i’m gonna be one of those people who flex about knowing her before 100k
I really respect that you can leave a weird situation as just that. So many creepy channels like to default to the supernatural, so I like your reality-focused analysis of weird scenarios and decision to not conclude when there's no clear answer.
I mean, other than the defaced porn pictures, I’ve seen worse as a former homeless person. There’s a distinct lack of the trash/random detritus that would be around if this was a place a homeless person was living, no mention of food containers as well. It just seems too...clean. It could’ve been someone just going down there to do weird shit, or a hoax. Doubtful that someone was living there.
Or a bolt hole for a chronic runaway. That would explain the stuff that should be there but isn't. The resident could also be trying to avoid drawing animals or even people to his spot via food stink
and where's he supposed to go potty? Seems nice that he did it in a fairly organized way, unlike Fry from "Futurama" who took random shits all over the floor. Truck drivers do worse.
It's probably his wank spot. Maybe, he f'ed a cherry pie? Fairly harmless, but could possibly progress to living out fantasies and become dangerous. If he lived there, it wouldn't have been for too long. All that dust in the air would have eventually given him a silicosis death sentence.
he broke into a vampire's lair and took photos of his home for the whole internet to see. congrats man, you doxxed this poor vampire and trampled all in his home and graffiti'd it.
Idk, a lot of landlords have rules about how many people can stay in a unit or maybe this was a poorer area so no one had space. Plus I think there is a difference in liking someone enough to go to their funeral and trusting someone enough to be in your house while you sleep, especially if you’re a young person living alone or have children (maybe I just have anxiety lol). Also why did I still here staring at your name for five minutes thinking it spelled something backwards
I have had bad experiences with homeless people. Sometimes its really just someone needs a little help but many times they have problems and have chronic homelessness. There is a weird in between where they are not bad enough to go to jail but not good enough to make it on their own. My guess is the town did not have the support system for a homeless shelter since it sounded like they did not have many.
"they would've stuck out like a sore thumb" because Gacey, Bundy, Holmes etc. stuck out so sorely they were apprehended long before racking up dozens of bodies
At least a few of those buggers had been reported by girlfriends/family members/neighbors who the police didn't take seriously. These people succeeded in no small part due to the incompetence of the local police and not because they were just soooo smart and cunning
It's weird how something so traumatic can come from someone, or some people, just being bored. I guarantee that there's more of these stories all over the world from adventurous teens.
I agree that it's likely a homeless person who was living there, although maybe not full time? So he came back every now and then and that explains why some stuff was missing the second time OP visited. My first thought with the photos is that they're pictures of ex-wives/girlfriends who the homeless man had bad breakups with? So he took out his anger at them by abusing the photos the way he did. Like a more creative version of the "throwing darts at someone's photo" cliche. The bloody condom is the weirdest and creepiest part, but I tend to think that "blood-filled" might be a bit of an exaggeration, and maybe the condom just had very visible blood inside it? As opposed to the whole thing being blown up like a water balloon. Since the former could be explained by a medical issue that hadn't been treated.
yes, that is all very true. And since there was never actual a photo of it, we won't know if the OP was exaggerating a little. Perhaps since they WERE teens when this happened, they remembered it far more dramatically than it actually was hahah.
I am pretty sure the photos aren't of people he knows. They look like pages from magazines. We don't know what the original photo looked like but my guess is it is more of the same.
i don’t think its likely that the women in the photos were his real exes or ppl that he knows. they were from magazines in the 90’s and were all similar/the same company or brand and style of content. so unless this guys got a thing for porn stars and has actually “obtained” multiple i don’t think its very possible. but it COULD be women who look like his exes?? or he could just fully be imagining that they are women hes known (playing into the mentally ill theories). i do agree though that the bloody condom was an exaggeration and might have just been that this person had health problems (due to homelessness) and an STD or infection of some sort. it still is very eerie whenever someone visibly shows so much hatred for women though..
While the objects were odd, I think the original poster was exaggerating the creep factor. Yes it’s dark and dusty, but I didn’t really feel anything evil and all I saw was trash thrown about. I live in SF where seeing shit in the streets is common. Probably just someone who found a little shelter and had issues with women. The place didn’t seem very convenient to do any sort of crime that involved hurting a person cause how would you get someone unwilling down there
perhaps the appearance of the bridge wasn’t completely terrifying, but knowing what is further is scary. you have to admit, a random chair that is in the dark, that faces a wall, with a single poster - a room that you had to crawl through many crawl spaces to access, it is extremely scarring. could you imagine a completely dark tunnel, with crawl spaces, to then stumble across a random chair facing a wall - that isn’t something you come across on the streets of SF everyday now is it?
@@serotoninbernie1283 I think you might be a little sheltered from the casual depravity you can find in the poorest elements of any society. I've never been, but from what I've heard stuff like this is just another tuesday in the tenderloin SF. Being marginalized and growing up in a world that very visibly doesn't give a shit about you can fuck with a humans morals like super easy. I'm not demonizing homeless folks, lots of them are perfectly nice people who've had nothing but shit luck all their lives. But I'm sure they'd agree that there are some fucking monsters in those encampments too.
The picture of his friend crouching in there was evil feeling to me, but only because it was an excellent horror photo. I'm surprised it hasn't been scooped up for a creepypasta.
It is most probably a homeless person. What worries me is the burning of genital areas and the dehumanization(by ripping out the eyes and defacement) of photos of women posing a sexual/sensual context, that just feels like they have issues with women and have power assertive fantasies where the unknown person harms the images. My issue is that a lot of times individuals with these behaviors tend to escalate their behavior over time to the point of the fantasy not being enough and the need to harm real people arises . So let's hope I'm wrong, and just reading way too much into it and being paranoid.
thank you for pointing that out! Not a lot of people do, and in a separate comment thread, someone argued that his dehumanization of women was merely a kink and it had nothing to do with misogyny.
@@ameliag.9940It could be a kink...but considering the context I highly doubt it. I would like to point out though that it could also be a signifier of sexual abuse from a female showing itself in sexual aggression. Hopefully whatever it is didn't escalate to harming anyone.
@@averysspookshowspectacular6205 you could be right. Either way, I get ticked off when people gloss over blatant examples of misogyny just for the sake of being contrarian.
The thing that I particularly wondered about was the piece of crime scene tape. It was just a piece and didn't seem to be big enough to be marking off the area. Still, though, that's pretty concerning. I'm honestly surprised they didn't find a dead body or anything. Maybe someone was kidnapped and held there (possibly ab*sed there too). The condom thing makes me think maybe if that happened and the sicko was trying to s*xually assault the victim, that the victim fought back. Idk I'm just speculating of course
OP didn't seem to make a huge deal about it. Just a whole "I guess that's there". And admittedly I do find bits of tape from sectioned off areas. Once they wash away somewhere, that's pretty much it. They'll go anywhere. I guess OP has that logic. However to survive without many materials, you need a knife and some rope. I know I've played survival games for a while but there's a reason so many people's grandfathers and fathers carried Swiss army knives in the case of an emergency. You need a knife. The fact the knife wasn't dirty in an area that it would be filthy in had a crime been committed? That says someone's opening boxes/plastic since the scissors we saw aren't exactly suited for those bigger jobs. And for candles to last longer, you need to do some trimming of the wick. You'd need the knife and the scissors. Poor person trick, you know.
I doubt it, everything found on the scene has a much more mundane explanation, some pervert with an std (the blood was inside the condom, a common symptom of untreated infection) and a gross attitude towards women. The rope, the knife, and the makeshift cot are all useful things to have around when you're homeless. Nothing here suggests kidnapping or sexual assault to me, though I still wouldn't want to run into the guy on a dark night, definitely a misogynistic creep.
It’s really common for Reddit accounts from old archived posts to be deleted. I have no idea why but a good half of them are that way. I don’t think Reddit automatically deletes inactive accounts.
Homeless person, random vandal, it still takes a special kind of mind to sit and live in that pitch black hell hole. Even if it was all they had, I still would not want to be alone with the person who lived in that bridge.
as someone who has been homeless- this honestly seems pretty normal aside from the misogynistic undertones. dude was likely an addict of some sort and waited out his benders where he thought no one would go.
He could’ve done the same with photos of men for all you know. Stop crying misogyny at every little sleight towards women, it’s delegitimizing complaints of actual misogyny
I mean it's pretty easily explainable, some homeless with a gross attitude towards women living down there. They claim there were no homeless people in the area, but I suspect they are likely mistaken or the guy who lived down there was quite reclusive and not really known about. The urine jug isn't super uncommon in places where people don't have access to a bathroom. The bloody condom was likely the result of an std or other disorder. I'm doubtful anything more sinister was going on, just a run of the mill creep like you get basically anywhere you go.
OP mentions how the tunnel doesn't go through the whole bridge and how he couldn't reach that part. i wonder if that area is hollowed out too, and whilst i doubt there's anything there, it definitely makes this a fuck ton scarier
I'm from South Wales, the country does have some interesting sights. We're a very old country with a fairly interesting history so some bizarre things do turn up from time to time. You will likely find abandoned buildings or areas in most areas, especially outside of Cardiff. You also find some...well...colourful characters. Also, I discovered your channel today so it's cool I found a brand new vid straight away. Especially since it's about something that happened in my country.
Reminds me of a weird old building me and my sister explored a few years back, which had this rusty lockbox thing just full of like 50+ small cards with peoples names and addresses on them. There didn’t appear to be any correlation between anyone when we looked some of them up (other than being from Wales, but even then they weren’t all from the local area). Not nearly as creepy as this story obviously, but pretty strange nonetheless. Wish I could’ve gone back to see what else we could find, but the building has been demolished to make way for a car dealership lmao
@@slowyourroll1146 We did actually! They're years back on my old phone now but I'll have to see if I can find them. I'm sure I sent them to some other friends on discord to see if we could figure out what the cards were for, so I'll ask them if anyone else saved them.
Something creepy that makes no sense is *how* did whoever get that chair down there? It wouldn’t have fit through that manhole cover and even more bizarre is that that chair was found after that hole you have to crawl on your stomach. It wouldn’t have fit through that either. It’s just weird.
I literally just discovered your channel. It’s amazing. Recently got into horror and this is right up my alley. You cover the conspiratorial creeps, but still offer the realistic revision of the stories. You don’t feel like an “Is this the work of ALIENS?!” channel, and I love that.
As an English bloke myself, it feels so unusual to hear the phrase "dual carriageway" being said in an American accent. Haha. I have no idea how someone could be this bored/brave to go on an expedition like this. Either that, or I'm just a wuss. XD Edit: It also feels very bizarre to hear the word "bloke" being said in that same accent. I hear that so rarely that I can't compute it. XD
I love the use of carriageway, that’s such a prettier name than highway! I couldn’t imagine going in those types of hidden areas, I’m too scared too as well 😭
I wonder where the guy living there got the photos and other supplies? They would need to go to a nearby town or city I’m assuming to get those things, or possibly just found them along the highway from litter. But hopefully that person is better now and not living that way anymore since it’s been nearly a decade!
I'm just sitting here, minding my own business, scrolling through the recommended videos and I come across this video. Now I'm on a whole binge on your channel and I can't stop watching. You're my absolute new favorite!!!! Keep it up!!! 😁
Subscribing right away!! Welsh myself and from a really rural town and had a similar experience. I can really verify whoever this guy was, our larger cities such as Cardiff and Swansea (neither of which are in north Wales where this story is set.) They have a lot of homeless but its been an increasing problem over the last ten years, and certainly was not as widespread or common in 2012 as it is now. While living in Swansea and often interacting with members of the homeless community another notable point was that very few of them were from the area or even Welsh originally and a lot had made their way to Wales as 1. said Welsh towns are the last train stops for anyone traveling on the great western rail line that spans much of middle England and 2. As Wales has a much smaller population, roughly 3million, folk are usually more generous and there is a lot more help and services here available to the homeless. I could be absolutely wrong but this doesn't seem like a homeless persons doing, and certainly not one that often stayed in that small north Welsh town, it seems to me this is someone with a double life, going into that space to do, whatever, but only staying for a short time, there are a tone of abandoned buildings in Wales and usually our communities are very tight knit so everyone is in each others business, if someone did have disturbing urges, hiding them away like this is certainly the thing they'd do. As for my experience when i was much younger, around 16, my friends and I were in a small town not far from Cardiff attending a rock concert, we didn't get out until around 12am by which time it was pitch black outside, we looked around for anywhere seemingly safe to wait for our ride home and saw there was a small corner shop still open for business, presumably 24hours. We headed inside without a thought and saw several elderly men behind the counter with their backs to us looking at something in the small space behind the till and the front desk. We grabbed some drinks for the road and headed to the till, but getting there my teenage stomach dropped, as the elderly men (and i mean old couldn't have been younger then 60) were fixated at a small tv mounted on the back wall, where some very hardcore porn was playing loudly enough to be clearly heard and seen from the till (checkout) , don't want to kink shame but this stuff looked rough, and i mean snuff film level rough, and grainy, presumably an old video type? Id say id have blushed but something about the situation was so wrong to me, this was a public place, in a small town, and these men looked as though they could be my grandfather, dressed in their Sunday best. The oldest of our friendship group, around 20 coughed to get their attention, only one , very large, very overweight man approached the till and served our drinks without a word, only glaring at us, we left asap and safe to say I've never been back to that particular town since, I always count myself lucky that we were a group of young men that wondered in that night with those creeps and not some poor young lass o her own. Wales is usually a calm, beautiful and friendly place to live, but on the rare occasion things get weird here, they get weird.
So... we're just not going to talk about the police tape that says it's a crime scene? The reason I don't believe this is made-up is that it seems like an awful lot of effort to go to for a story that doesn't go anywhere. If it was fictional, wouldn't they have encountered the person or been attacked? Wouldn't there be some payoff? If it were an ARG, wouldn't there be a clue or some code to follow? If the photos were staged, wouldn't the items carry more significance? He mentioned a bloody condom, which would have been a really easy thing to stage, so if it was made up, wouldn't he have shown us the condom? There's not enough actual narrative here to make me think that someone's just spinning yarns. I buy it.
Just because it doesn't have all the common traits of every dumbass fictional nosleep story doesn't mean it's NOT fictional. If someone wanted to make up a fictional but believable story, leaving out the spookier shit is how you'd do it. And people put a lot of effort into things that are pretty pointless. I'm not really convinced about it being truth or fiction. There's too many weird things - like the space is too clean for it to be a homeless person and is missing stuff you'd expect to find from someone who's living there - but the way it's written just comes off as too "this is my fiction-writing style" to me. I don't find it particularly convincing as a true story but it's kind of boring to be fiction, unless the person is good enough at knowing what stuff screams of being fake that he knew to leave it pretty simple so it wouldn't be obviously fake.
Recently found your channel and spent the week so far bingeing your videos and you’re definitely one of the better channels with how you present information and yourself, too many channels try to stifle themselves which ends up making the video a chore to sit through, I just love how connected you are to whatever you’re researching whether it be a victim or situation. Definitely subscribing, stay great. Love from Wales! 🏴 ♥️
Whilst this one does feel like a not unheard of the den of someone on the edge of society in the UK (homeless, extreme poverty, mental health, drugs etc) I really liked having you present it broken down and with an air of “what if?”. Regardless of the situation (whatever it actually is) it was a cool mini photojournalism project from the OP!
“It’s a true story” So glad it’s day rn- still gonna scare the crap of me tho so I better go get some snacks, drinks and things to keep me comfort, maybe even my cat (If she wants to lol)
Recently found your channel and I really love it! Not sure how often you check these old videos but I watched some of your true crime related ones (particularly Lacey Fletcher) and I love how respectful you are of the individuals involved and the families, how straightforward your videos are (no sCaRy mUsIcCcC!, speaking at a normal pace, not throwing in information to drag things out for watchtime), and just how respectful you are in general of the audience, throwing in content warnings and mentioning that you don't want to kink shame even in the creepiest of circumstances. It's so refreshing. I feel like there's a lot of toxicity and a lot of jumping to conclusions or armchair experting in this genre of video, and you refuse to fall into that trap. Very cool. Just subscribed! :)
Having grown up in a decent sized town with a TON of bridges I can say with confidence your never gonna find anything good below them besides some cool graffiti if your lucky, still not worth the risk of falling on a needle tho imo. Now if I came across a manhole leading to some crawlspace in a bridge I wouldn't have to think twice about not opening it for the express possibility of encountering something I would really regret, being animal, human or material in nature One time after going under a bridge my friend noticed he had the sharp broken tip of a needle sticking out of part of his shoe while we were wrestling!!! If your ever in some place where it looks like people shoot up, just leave and please check your shoes!
I’m retired now, but part of my job was to sample water, wastewater, and stormwater so I often came across places where homeless people lived, including access tunnels such as this. I did wonder whether if they had explored further past the living area they might have come across a second closer manhole to the surface that would be the inhabitant’s main entrance exit. That would mean the area they went through and found the biowaste was the inhabitant’s trash disposal area. But it was curious there were no empty food tins that would inevitably be found near such a site, not to mention discarded cigarette packs, beer cans, wine/liquor bottles, and/or drug paraphernalia. Additionally there was no sign or mention of insects that would normally be found in such places such as cockroaches, spiders, scorpions, etc. Also if that manhole was left unsecured I would have expected quite a bit of graffiti tagged in at least the first few yards of where they entered. As for the pictures, yes, I often found discarded porn materials at or near such places. Finally, regarding the condom, blood in semen can be caused by urinary infections, tuberculosis, various STDs, and other conditions often left untreated in the homeless, but a condom full of nothing but blood is indeed disturbing. Just a few thoughts.
"Where's the poop?" Whoever it was might have been dropping it out the 'window' onto the highway, where it'd be mistaken for animal poop, and washed away in rains and tracked away on tires. But animals don't use TP, so...
Love how you can say the word condom but have to censor the word blood. Gotta love UA-cam. As always, I love your content! Thanks for keeping things creepy 🦇
Well, this place probably has little to no air coming through. Maybe 1 or 2 vents (like the one where you can see the road underneath. So the waste & items is going to be there a while, being absorbed by the concrete until it takes on the smell. Plus there's no insects, rain or soil in the dungeon/bunker to break down any of it. Which makes me think (pretty confidently) all that was left by a hobo passing through the area; They probably didn't go through the town per se, just that area along the highway. They likely saw the manhole, took a look & may have seen it as an opportunity to wait out a winter. So they started living in the bridge trying to go unnoticed. Then when they left, it makes sense they left the bigger/gross stuff in the bunker/dungeon & took what was already in their bag and left. In that moment, this hobo/homeless person had set the stage for some adventuresome young boys to find their temporary shelter and be horrified by its contents, kinda like "Stand By Me" (movie, 1986). What I want to know is, what was it that triggered this memory for his brain lol he said he'd all but completely forgotten that little excursion but he had it all come back to him so he wrote the post.
You can actually go into cement bridges. Just look up when you pass under one and you'll probably see a door maybe with some stairs somewhere. That's probably why I never would want to go into one of those.
That smell indicates anerobic bacteria, usually caused by overwet soil or compost. Compost can continue to smell for many years under the right conditions. When I was younger the outhouses located in the mountains of western Montana used in the late 1800s early 1900s still had an odor I would be more interested in the bed. You could better calculate the amount of time since it had been disturbed by the amount of dust on the outside vs the amount gathered between the folds of material.
I have an off topic comment- There was a lone homeless man…when he died, everyone came. Aww…but wait a second. If so many people cared, why the F was he still homeless? Why didn’t everyone come together while he was, oh, I don’t know, alive, and…help him? People. We can do better.
God, the person who wrote this story strikes me as a very unaware person lol. Yes there are homeless ppl, yes there are very easy and depressing ways to explain everything in the story! Maybe I’ve just been exploring abandoned places too much, but this is like such basic shit you’d see from squatters lmao!
I know it isn't the focal point but its always bothered me that this story includes the telling of the "one homeless man who everyone in the small town liked" but he was still homeless. Maybe people offered to help him and he declined, but I feel like if he's the only person in the whole town without a place to stay you'd think people would band together to help him get on his feet
Yeah, idk why anyone would be so creeped out by this, it makes more sad that creeped out that someone has no other choice than living in this conditions. In my town I've seen entire shelters built next or inside sewages systems bringing things they find, including comfort items like kids toys, books, magazines, porn, it's really normal... and many have mental/drug issues which could be reason they're homeless in the first place so I guess the do weird shit from time to time. homeless people needing places to sleep, hide and have private time, who knew...🙄
Yes the first thought that came to mind was "do they need broad spectrum antibiotics? Fresh blankets? Someone should clean the excrement so there's no lung damage!" Mental illness is a bitch and we can only do so much. Sometimes the only choice we have is to give comfort.
I (along with some friends) once explored an area in my city, that was about to get demolished. A lot of homeless people lived in the abandoned buildings. When we entered a former apartment, we found a room covered in newspaper articles. They were wallpapered all over the place, even the windows were covered in paper. All articles were about aliens and extraterrestrial sightings. And there were strings all over the ceiling with (I believe it was chicken) bones attached to them. We were terrified and left faster than we arrived, I mean, we ran, screaming, because we thought the aliens were coming to get us (lol). We still talk about it sometimes today. Sadly the area is gone now. I think the people that were living there decorated their rooms as creepy as possible on purpose, to scare unwanted visitors (like us) away. I mean, how else do they get privacy? Maybe it was a similar intention in the bridge case?
I'm from the town that this bridge is in, it's in Old Colwyn, North Wales, and I've been to this bridge a lot of times. The entry to it is closed off now, but there used to be a homeless man who was pretty ill mentally who lived in it. He's dead too now (like, the early 2000s). There was no dead bodies or murders or anything. Also I've a strong hunch I know who wrote this and if so, they really really elaborated on their original story, in which they spooked themselves going into it thinking they heard someone else in there but left before they found out, none of the stuff about photos etc. Anyone has any questions about the area, happy to answer.
Hello grandma from England here, it would not be the first time a homeless person or maybe a group of them to set up camps in places like this, we have a lot of fly overs like that all around the country, they will sleep under them and occasionally find a way into one
The magazine clipping on the wall dated 1997 does not automatically mean it has been there since 1997- someone could have been put up there a week before the guy went back with his camera in 2010(?). Also, it is very likely this spot has been occupied by different people at different times over the years.
I just found your Channel and I’m HOOKED!!!! Can’t wait to binge all your videos!! Seriously, you deserve more subs for the quality of content your posting!!!
Hannah can you do a Scientology video i live in hemet California and theres this massive scientology base called “the hole” some people call it a “prison”. Theres a bunch of weird vibes from that place. Like the fences has like razor sharp edges so no one can “escape” please research this creepy place
I grew up near that bridge, my sister and I are currently discussing it. The bridge is definitely real, as is the opening on the beach side of the bridge. I can't comment on how real the inside is, but I did see a video of people actually going into it years ago. I haven't been able to find it again though.
I live in the uk, have found things like this exploring remote areas as a kid, and I also work with the homeless and this is very ‘normal’ to find in a squat-setting. Sad more than creepy. But I get why it gives off creepy vibes to most.
It’s either a homeless person OR as someone who works in construction I’ve seen weirder shit just set up before we’ve left a job site for someone to maybe find one day. I slap fun giant stickers anywhere I can around places before we seal them. Or it’s just someone’s fake little story which is also believable.
When we we're teenagers we used to set up weird voodoo shit in the woods when we were hunting like something off the _Evil Dead_ (or _Blair Witch Project_ although that hadn't come out at the time) to creep out people who might find it later...
I just wanted to say that I recently discovered this channel and I have to express how much I like it. It's a hidden gem that I hope much more people find soon
That old ass Pot Noodle pot makes this feel legit I havent seen those since the late 90s hahaha but yeah. IDK thats a pretty decent shelter for a homeless person, but also probably kinda out of town? Hmm. It's interesting either way.
I commend those guys for going back a second time to that unholy dark place. Talk about nerves of steel! I would hauled ass out of there the moment I were to see the chair and never looked back.
did some digging and catatonia being a band checks out. welsh rock band fronted by cerys matthews. also if it helps, jo guest is an english adult model. that’s all i got
Sounds like they found a houseless person's home. Saying there's only one houseless person in town doesn't mean anything unless everyone always keeps tabs on them 100% of the time, which I highly doubt is happening. If these kids could go into the tunnel undetected, then obviously a houseless person could, too. Also, consider the fact that train hoppers exist. Maybe someone rolled into town, stayed there for a while, then hopped on another train. I used to live in a city with a large houseless population, and there were so many pee jugs around town that someone actually made a social media account dedicated to documenting them with artsy-fartsy photographs. It is more sad than gross to me that people have to use bottles because they don't have plumbing, or there isn't enough access to public facilities.
Thank you so much Hannah to blur the pictures. I have OCD and these type images get stuck in my mind and get replayed over and over again making it impossible for me to eat anything.
it’s likely to have been a homeless man but also when i saw the bed i got this creepy feeling that someone could’ve been keeping a woman down there, especially considering the padlock they saw and also bc i feel like you wouldn’t chose to go poop in your “home” as it were but maybe they just couldn’t be arsed to go outside
Reality is always stranger. Just a homeless guy with a mental illness and an STD, possibly even multiple homeless guys, that lives in the bridge. The poop, trash, and candles just make me think that much and that he kept the porn corner farther away from the "living area" cements it for me. They always checked it out in the daytime, too, and not in snowy weather, so it could even stand to reason that it's a place the 'owner' only uses at night or in bad weather conditions. Pooping/peeing in buckets and bags makes cleaning up easy, as he can just carry it outside and toss it rather than letting it build up forever. Burning bits of a photo might just be a way to interact with it or misogyny, cutting out the eyes could be the same as throwing a sheet over a doll that feels like it's watching you when you sleep.
Formerly homeless here. The person with the eyes cut out and condom thing I can't speak for that but people live in tunnels all the time. Most people don't really realize there's a city beneath their city. The Mole
People is a good read.
(Edited to specify for folks that don’t know, that’s a hotel/casino on the strip with a prominent Ancient Greek theme and has a really neat and free animatronic statue show, at least they did pre-Covid, I haven’t been many places since this mess so I dunno what’s going on lol)
yup. this feels just like a messy/unkempt house for a drug or alcohol addict.
@Wazowski as someone who lives in vegas w h a t
Ive only seen the homeless folk in the downtown part of the city, which is a pretty old part?
@@raem7846 This. There’s no ARG-It’s just a story. Seems unlikely.
Definitely
@@raem7846 the story itself is the payoff. The fact that you made something convincing, you got together with people and set up a convincing scene, took some striking photos, and wrote a story around them. A "payoff" only ruins the mystery. In all of my attempts I never wanted to have any conclusiveness because the idea of people having to speculate on their own was so exciting. Sometimes creating a mystery is more gratifying than creating an answer

I’m siding with Occam’s razor on this; a homeless individual probably dealing with severe mental illness.
@Anaisa Simpson also... i don't think a mentally healthy individual would regularly climb down into a cramped, dark place like that let alone willingly choose to live there
@@omegapuppyttv its better than nothing. Homeless people don't exactly get a good selection of where they sleep
@ironfang bigheart that's typically a symptom of a pretty serious mental disorder, often in the schizo-effective class of illnesses.
OP says there was only one homeless guy in town, but if this person was living in this bridge and probably spending most of his time down there, the locals probably wouldn’t know about it
edit: i’ve addressed it in the comments but the reason i suggested misogyny in regards to the photos is that the defacing of erotic photos of women, especially the cigarette burn in the genital area, could be an indicator of how this person feels about women
that's true! That is the one part of the story that I'm not as sure about, how all the town knew everyone enough. He'd have to be a pretty stealthy homeless man. But I guess it's possible.
Can’t be that homeless man, since he died. Blood and semen dry pretty quickly.
lol, 'just' misogyny
The eye thing is actually pretty common and usually has more to do with a revulsion to being observed being "dirty". It often shows up in ppl who were severely over punished for letting ppl see them do "dirty" acts as children.
Women are also way more likely to have the eye thing than men, at least to "cut them out of pictures" level.
@@SuperRat420 why don't you know? Misogyny causes every problem. Even if it's an island with no men, by damn *somehow* their problems will somehow magically be caused be misogyny.

Yeah, one of my english friends mentioned this to me one time. Like people would just have raves in abandoned buildings. That wouldn't really happen in the US.
@@ineffablemars raves in abandoned buildings definitely happen in the US. At least they used to in the 90s and 2000s.

It probably also wasn't "filled with blood", blood mixed in with semen is common side effect from STDs
Could also be cause a lot of stds can cause blood in the urine and other bodily liquids, so it could’ve been a way from preventing it to get everywhere
@@pacrat6271 Exactly, an STD could cause these issues. Also, internal trauma (if the individual was kicked or hit around his abdomen).
the person probably had an STD
I feel extremely uncomfortable reading this, specifically in the lower region of my body
Oh I remember this story! There’s a lot of weird stories like this around reddit, where people stumble upon a houseless person’s living situation and freak out - like the person might have thought there was only one person living on the street but there might have been more, just not in plain sight. I feel like these things are blown out of proportion a lot of the time.
it's true! I think that's totally plausible, just a few aspects of the story that are definitely extra creepy.
So tru! I was wondering why this wasn't making my anxiety freak out as much
A lot of these channels also put such creepy music on the dumbest things that I can't even watch them.

Ive driven under that bridge countless times. Im going think about this story every time from now on. Its the railway bridge over the A55 next to Colwyn Bay in North Wales.
Yea also there's definitely homeless people in Colwyn bay
I would change my rout after that

Wait i actually lived near there before i went to uni, creepy stuff
although i think it probably is just a homeless person, i find the idea that its somebody living a double life to be quite interesting. we hear about that trope a lot but usually it has something to do with an affair or taking business trips, but someone just doing who knows what in a bridge where the only entrance is a manhole...? it could be a good premise for a thriller movie or novel
ok but can we talk about how her channel is criminally underrated? like how
Just found her channel randomly through recommendations - thanks youtube! This is the second video I'm watching of her (first one was the evilstick) and I already love her content.

It's like some dudes personal want hole. Weird shit

why did they let the one homeless person remain homeless if they all liked him, did no one at all have a spare room
Oh, good, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who wondered that.
Literally my first thought
Lmao
As a former homeless man this totally fits the m.o. you see some crazy stuff out there and it’s always in places just like that.
"they would've stuck out like a sore thumb"
because Gacey, Bundy, Holmes etc. stuck out so sorely they were apprehended long before racking up dozens of bodies
I think he mentioned that he lived in a small overall homogeneous town in Wales. America much bigger and definitely less homogeneous.
At least a few of those buggers had been reported by girlfriends/family members/neighbors who the police didn't take seriously. These people succeeded in no small part due to the incompetence of the local police and not because they were just soooo smart and cunning
i mean... bundy at the very least stuck out. actually they all did, but wasn't really taken that seriously.
@@frances9975 Also totally possible of course!
@@HannahTheHorrible Yeah, and posting to Reddit, you wanna make it sound as interesting as possible. I don't blame them if they exaggerated a bit!
i don’t think its likely that the women in the photos were his real exes or ppl that he knows. they were from magazines in the 90’s and were all similar/the same company or brand and style of content. so unless this guys got a thing for porn stars and has actually “obtained” multiple i don’t think its very possible. but it COULD be women who look like his exes?? or he could just fully be imagining that they are women hes known (playing into the mentally ill theories). i do agree though that the bloody condom was an exaggeration and might have just been that this person had health problems (due to homelessness) and an STD or infection of some sort. it still is very eerie whenever someone visibly shows so much hatred for women though..
The knife and the rope, too... It’s really suspicious.
That's way too far-fetched...
Poor person trick, you know.
ua-cam.com/video/nI-YFo0c-LA/v-deo.html
I doubt it, everything found on the scene has a much more mundane explanation, some pervert with an std (the blood was inside the condom, a common symptom of untreated infection) and a gross attitude towards women. The rope, the knife, and the makeshift cot are all useful things to have around when you're homeless. Nothing here suggests kidnapping or sexual assault to me, though I still wouldn't want to run into the guy on a dark night, definitely a misogynistic creep.
It makes me wonder why they deleted their reddit account. It's mysterious, that they posted this story and then just left. Never to be seen again.
It’s really common for Reddit accounts from old archived posts to be deleted. I have no idea why but a good half of them are that way. I don’t think Reddit automatically deletes inactive accounts.

as someone who has been homeless- this honestly seems pretty normal aside from the misogynistic undertones. dude was likely an addict of some sort and waited out his benders where he thought no one would go.

I very much appreciate how you highlight the text currently being narrated so we can read along 🥺🥺
I remember reading through this whole thread when I was first on reddit. Back then reddit was actually good
for real
All I can say is I hope whoever was down there got some help and never actually hurt anyone. Their actions were not those of a stable individual.
Especially since it's about something that happened in my country.
ah that's awesome, hello from America! Thank you so much for watching, hope you continue to enjoy the content :)
I live in England but really close to North Wales which makes it way scarier for me
Reminds me of a weird old building me and my sister explored a few years back, which had this rusty lockbox thing just full of like 50+ small cards with peoples names and addresses on them.
@@bobbitworm8184 did you ever take any pictures? The cards sound a little weird and interesting
XD
Edit: It also feels very bizarre to hear the word "bloke" being said in that same accent. I hear that so rarely that I can't compute it. XD
I love the use of carriageway, that’s such a prettier name than highway! I couldn’t imagine going in those types of hidden areas, I’m too scared too as well 😭
@@maddie9655 Yes, it's a pretty name for a not-so-pretty structure. 😂
I sometimes find myself reading things in my head with the accent t was written in. Only some things. I call it 'channeling my inner Brit.'
This one is just so believable, I’m sure there’s some weird people that do this everywhere
I buy it.
Timestamp for the police tape?
@@vawkwardbat At about 14:29, one of the photo captions that Hannah doesn't read out states that they found crime scene tape.
It looks different to the UK police tape I see these days at least
Thanks for blurring out the poop, lol. Honestly really appreciate it.
Awesome video!
that's so amazing, thank you so much and welcome! I'm so glad you are enjoying :)
“It’s a true story”
So glad it’s day rn- still gonna scare the crap of me tho so I better go get some snacks, drinks and things to keep me comfort, maybe even my cat (If she wants to lol)
Now if I came across a manhole leading to some crawlspace in a bridge I wouldn't have to think twice about not opening it for the express possibility of encountering something I would really regret, being animal, human or material in nature
One time after going under a bridge my friend noticed he had the sharp broken tip of a needle sticking out of part of his shoe while we were wrestling!!!
If your ever in some place where it looks like people shoot up, just leave and please check your shoes!
A crawl space like that sounds like a decent place to get high
you should do a video about “The Toxic Lady mystery” just found your channel and I’m binging on your video. Love it
I’m retired now, but part of my job was to sample water, wastewater, and stormwater so I often came across places where homeless people lived, including access tunnels such as this.
Need more social housing
When you try to regulate "anti-social behavior" the way the UK does, you don't eliminate it, you just force it into deeper shadow.
Exactly! You can’t erase human nature no matter how many laws you write and how authoritarian you are
Yeah, idk why anyone would be so creeped out by this, it makes more sad that creeped out that someone has no other choice than living in this conditions.
Every person in a scary story: I was in the dark tunnel When a big monster jumped out and ripped my leg off, I forget about The incident for awhile
I never trust an abandoned place to truly be abandoned.
Well, looks like this channel will be my new obsession. Thank you Hannah for keeping things weird and creepy-like here on UA-cam.
That sounds possible as the catatonia poster and the magazine from 1997 and old pot noodle dates a lot of the stuff in the bridge to the late 90s
How do you not have more subs? Your content is great, and you're very respectful to boot!
thank you so much! that's the best compliment!
Hello grandma from England here, it would not be the first time a homeless person or maybe a group of them to set up camps in places like this, we have a lot of fly overs like that all around the country, they will sleep under them and occasionally find a way into one
Imagine spending the night down there and waking up in darkness and crawling back to the manhole. Good lord.

I grew up near that bridge, my sister and I are currently discussing it. The bridge is definitely real, as is the opening on the beach side of the bridge. I can't comment on how real the inside is, but I did see a video of people actually going into it years ago. I haven't been able to find it again though.
I think the best bit of all this is that it’s not too weird, meaning it’s genuinely believable.
I’ve just became obsessed with your channel yesterday ugh i’ve binged so much i love your content so much 🖤

Whoever was the creepy person, they had good musical taste at least. Catatonia is a cool band.
We got alot of these in America too especially the abandoned houses in the cities
Also a magazine from 1997 and a catatonia poster (they were really big in 1998/9 so does seem like some of it is from the 90s
I commend those guys for going back a second time to that unholy dark place. Talk about nerves of steel! I would hauled ass out of there the moment I were to see the chair and never looked back.

Never had been here so early!
hi!!!
