Drumkit or Practice pad - Which is best?

Is practising on a drumkit better than practice pad My opinions on this are a little different from many people

Great points. I at 57 play in several bands, so I'm constantly on the kit running through songs. Typically three, four days a week for an hour to two hours. Still loving it. Agree with your points. Just play!!

Absolutely, playing with a band is way more beneficial than hitting the pad,thanks for the advice

Learnt the same way..wasn’t till quite a few years after starting that I got into the rudiments etc... which I must say was very beneficial... I always chuckle when I hear drummers say you don’t need them....
