Excellent advice on bearing care ! I think most people think it is OK to throw a greased bearing in the grit on the floor, then complain when it is knackered in 500 miles! Chris B.

Is this the same red grease Scott has been using throughout the resto? If so, where can I get some?

Yes, it is. I purchased it at Auto zone. Sta-Lube is the name of the manufacturer.

What happens the seal it it’s slightly past flush? I just installed new seals and the bearing and seal tool wasn’t big enough so I went just past flush. Do I need to re do the whole thing. I really don’t want to take it all apart again but I will if I have to hahaha. Thanks

You will probably be ok if the seal is square.
