Except every single charge will get dropped. No crime was committed. Unless those cops have psychic abilities the clothes were still in the store’s possession until they walk out without paying. There is no law against putting on clothes you are about to buy. More than likely they were about to steal it however since we don’t have any precrime laws like Minority Report they didn’t actually break any laws. Cops bailed them out here

One time a few years ago I went to a shopping center with my friends. My mom had given me $250.00 to get a pair of beats headphones. They all wanted to go to Walmart first because it was closest to the bus stop. I said okay and went to Walmart with them. They started picking out stuff they were planning on stealing in the changing rooms and took it in there and started putting it on. I said oh nah I’m not getting in trouble left Walmart and went across the street to Best Buy to get my headphones. My friends came into the Best Buy like 30 mins later and started stealing games off the shelf. 5 mins later the police were there. The police came in and tried to put us all in handcuffs and the lady at the register told them referring to me “he’s fine he didn’t steal anything he just bought $230 headphones.” My friends looked at me like wtf. As the police searched them they notice they had layers and layers of cloths on from Walmart they called the manager from Walmart over so both stores could press charges. At that moment I loss about seven criminal “friends.”

Sorry you lost your friends but then again, if they were stealing with you in their presence, surely they didn't care enough about your guys friendship and didnt think about how that was going to effect you. shoplifting usually results in a citation unless you have priors on your record. she probably thought she just get a court date and go home.
@@dazem8 depends where you are. In my state it’s a misdemeanor that you can be arrested for. But the amount of clothes the guy had on probably would be a felony since the officer said he’s got shirts that are $60-70. He had 10 shirts on with multiple pants and Nikes. So he’s probably in the felony range in my state
@@dazem8 It depends on the monetary value and also what State you're in. In Texas, Theft under $100 is a citation. Over $100 but less than $2,500 is a misdemeanor. And over that is a felony

Sound distorts often times and the cops were wearing microphones so it sounded louder to us, the people watching the video, but it wasn't the actual volume used.
You can tell from their non-chalant tone and soft spoken demeanor they were trying not to alert those who were focused on layering still.

Male officer touching a female without her being violent is probably against their departments procedure. They gave her to the female officer/security guard if you’ll notice.The guy was much bigger and was cornered, probably hoping he wouldn’t fight. Plus the females came out first while there were other officers to hold them, guy was the last one and the remaining two officers took him.

This brought back memories of my days in retail... Some lady put on 6 pairs of underwear. Her mistake was she took the tags off and threw them all in the bathroom garbage. An employee was in the bathroom and heard her ripping tags. 😂

As a person who use to work in retail and use to be lost prevention catching a thief is the best feeling ever
I did that twice (stop thieves), got fired for the second time. First time manager told me to hit him with my truck coming back from lunch. :| Second time stopped one before they left the store after shoving an older handicapped (she had an injury from a long time prior so had a stiff leg and walked with a limp) employee over trying to get out of the store. Fun times.
My parents always tells me to go to college and get a degree to get a good paying job to buy the things you want in life...Now, I'm there now and I feel like what they said is true...in life if you want things you got to work your butt off and buy it...

@@yoshatabi you need a certain type of trade or degree in most cases. My sister just has a high-school diploma. But she is blessed. In high-school her senior year she would leave early. She had all her credits. The students that did could leave early if they had a job. So the school helps you find one. Most are government jobs. My sister got a job there and has been working there for 20 years and makes close to 150k a year. Me on the other hand like all my friends who didn't go to college have problem finding good paying jobs.

This is almost a daily occurrence at Academy. I used to be the team leader of a store here in GA & I was shocked at the amount of people that do this. It was either that or they just tried running out the door to a waiting getaway driver. Kept our LP guy busy AF!! This group seemed extra dumb waiting until the store was fixing to close & nearly empty.
Is this why I sometimes find other people's dirty yet brand new clothes on the ground in the alley? Is it because it's easier to steal clothes than to steal laundry service?
