Fun fact, in my game’s, the ATGM´s that miss target, and hit nothing else, keep on flying for the whole Game. Depending on the length of the Game up to several Kilometers 😅

For the bonus one: you can stay begind cover, shot at 45-60 degrees, and then fly it onto the target in that was straight in front of you. This is working with those atgms that have under 250 m/s and you need to have at least 300m travel distance.

I'm going to try this a bit more as I struggle with these tanks!
I like dropping atgms down on top of turrets. Since I've been making it a habit to aim up 1st then drop on top I've been getting a lot more ammo racks.
I found alot of vehicles have weak armour on top, so I always fire my atgms into the sky and then guide them downwards, just like a javelin missile
The Sheridan seems to be the only tank that can auto-lock atgms at close range.
M60a2 and MBT70 have similar ATGMs
Final stage: shot with a wiesel and brake while aiming at the enemy
I tried several time atgms with heavy tanks and it didn't pay off. Dealing twice damage for the price of half of our hp is not worth it.
Probably only good for light tanks.

Other than smokescreen and distance, is there a reason why I lose control of the atgm?
Moving the aiming reticle too quickly?
It's quite annoying.
i think that you need some sort of background to aim against. if your laser dot goes not on anything your rocket will just fly straight. only if you bring your dot over a target, the ground or a building your rocket will start tracking it

If i have the advanced reload equipment, can i swap to a regular round freely if i have an atgm loaded?
Advanced Reload works with shell type ammunition only.

I was chasing down a weasel in the Marder 3 shot all my cannon and was right up the weasels arse but I didn't know what to do. Time was flying but I could not see if I could aim a missile at it lol. I still don't know. Well i ran into the enemy and was obliterated

In a nut shell, yes.
I just want them to change the FV4211’s armor profile so you can pen the sides of the tank with ATGM’s… or just at all. It gets really tedious aiming below the side skirts or the commanders hatch when you have 400+ pen and it’s sitting in an open field side on.

Afther the new release of the wiesel again, era3 has become even more unplayeble. This saturday night we was gathering together to enjoy wot era3. Story short, we needed to quit do to 50% of teams was wiesels on top of 477's and stormers. It wass absolutly impossible to play a propper tank game without being yoloed of 4-5-6 wiesels. Era2 is heading into the same evel unplayeble path as era3. What WG are thinking ore heading with this are above my imagination but going up a tecktree heavy are just a bit pointless.
This was a great game once. 6.0 update was peanuts compare to whats happends now. 😢
