Great video and really timely at that. I am currently working on getting better at the BMP-3 by driving in zoom mode to be able to fire atgms on the move then switch to guns while missile is reloading and back to missile. I also changed to a "toggled" zoom versus having to hold the button down which seems to help a ton.
Riki-Any chance you could do a follow up video with more advanced techniques?

Rodncin practice more on guiding the ATGM in third person it will change your play style so much but for the better because in the sniper mode "zoom mode" it only moves as fast as your gun can move the ATGM is guided by the radical that is attached to the screen not the radical attached to your gun and it's not guided by the lazer either the red dot "Lazer" is where the missile is headed and that's where it's gonna hit....... @@sammypresser471 Thank you for the tip. I admit to being slightly confused by the "radical" thing until my monkey brain finally substituted "reticle" and suddenly everything made sense.
See, the thing is... I am trying to add to my bag of tricks by being able to seamlessly switch from 3rd person driving mode to 1st zoom to get the most out of the main gun missiles. I am using the BMP as a trainer since the main gun is already loaded. The goal is to be able to shoot missiles on the move the same way I shoot Sabot rounds.

On the party shot style it's easier if you stay in the third person view not the sniper view
One update on the lazer it's not where the reticle is it's where the tip of the missile is headed towards

What advise would you give on using ATGM with the Sheridan? I feel like you can either camp and use ATGM or play the spotting role what light tanks are intended for but not both. Would you say there is any way to combine this?
The acceleration of Sheridan ATGMs is very quick so your time to target is very short comparatively. Drive by the mini map, use your detection circle to judge how close you can get to the enemy team. Take advantage of remaining unspotted to farm spotting assist. Use unguarded flanks to get guarantee undetected ATGM hits.
With some tanks, smoke forms when you fire rockets and you don't see anything for a moment. is there anything that can be used to turn this off?
Drive backwards or forwards slightly to so that you’re not looking through the smoke generated at the firing location.

Agreed, the tank has way too much dpm and mobility with the current armor layout. It is a leader in every attribute and not balanced

This is a great video. I didn't understand the laser and was making the very mistake you mentioned. When leading a target, how do you do it. Do you estimate the lead? Over lead and let the laser fall onto the target, or under lead and move further away from target to find the laser?

… hating ATGMs right now… grinding through the centurion 9, whilst trying to 3 mark - it’s not so bad but has no armour and i’ve had bmps just go out of their way to do full damage to me even when they would be sacrificing themselves for me

Hey Riki, brilliant video. I had a question about atgms. I wanted to know if one can be auto-aim locked on to a target and launch the atgm and carry on driving away, will the atgm find its target? I ask this as there have being times when I am using the wz and I will attempt to fire a shell at my target and quickly change to atgm and fire but my missile just zooms past besides the stationary target. I'm not sure what's causing this, it might be that after changing to atgm I'm not locked on auto aim any more.

The only way I have been able to get the auto lock to work is to fire manually then exit zoom and press auto lock then stay very still while the missile is in flight. I hope this helps.
The way missiles work is the missile initially launched in the direction of the gun. However after initial launch, the missile tracks toward the direction the camera view is looking, regardless of which direction the gun is pointing. Therefore, auto aim for missiles will never work like you are wanting
The auto aim feature can’t be used to guide a missile to the target. In your case, you’ll need to auto aim the gun and then manually guide the missile to the target.
Thanks alot Riki, and everyone else for clarifying. I had a suspicious that auto-aim doesn't seem to work when trying to guide atgms. I guess one can only guide the missile after its launched with the Lazer pointer, that means one would have to be in sniper mode.
@@smile4shaheen with targets in close range that are moving, I don’t use sniper mode. I guide it in regular 3rd person.
