A 3 Day Getaway to Colonial WILLIAMSBURG Virginia

‪@GeneandRenee‬ we’re currently in Virginia visiting family. But sometimes you just need to getaway for a few days. Quite time. Time spent together. On this getaway we chose Williamsburg, Virginia. Imagine walking where George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Ben Franklin once walked! We looked at the colonial area, the shopping district, and some of our favorite local restaurants. We stayed in a small Airbnb and will show that to you as well.

We love Williamsburg so much we retired here in 2021. Sadly the Blackbird bakery has closed permanently. Glad you enjoy your time when you come for a visit. Great video !

Williamsburg looks like a nice historical town. It blows my mind that there is so much American history there, but as I understand it, Virginia is a state with mostly progressives and liberals. How can so many want to erase all this and/or pretend it didn't happen? It blows my mind. Food for thought. ha!
Anyway...what a beautiful city.

I agree on all counts. The more liberal leaning areas of Virginia are also the higher populated areas such as Northern Virginia outside D.C. and Hampton Roads. The rest of Virginia tends to lean more traditional and conservative. Hope your week is going well Chaz! 😎
