I'm from Mysore, you will love the city. It's less chaotic than bangalore with wide roads, less traffic and rich cultural heritage. Mysore pak is a famous desert that you may wanna try. Go to Sayyajirao road and ask the locals where to get mysore pak. They will guide you to the famous bakery.

The train fares in India are far more cheaper than the fares in Western Europe or the US. Therefore, there is a good value for money. Like India, Indian Railways is also showing remarkable changes for the better in recent years. One could hope for a much cleaner, comfortable and speedier trains over the next 5 to years and will definitely catch with up with the trains run in countries like Switzerland.

Onset of Monsoon happens in 1st week of June in southern India. By end June it nearly covers most of India. You can cover monsoon. From South to North. Northern & Central India will harsh dry in early June. With monsoon, it gets greenery everywhere.
Hey! You can use the official IRCTC website for booking a seat in the train and always go for ac compartments coz the general ones aren't that good. And also priority is given to the express trains over local ones(they halt the local ones to make way for express ones) and hence the delay. So, if you don't want delays use express trains.
Apart from it emptied at Bengaluru, people don't usually take Sleeper Train for short journeys like 3 hours. People take Chair Car trains. It's more cheaper & full of nice people.
I suggest you to visit Indian villages. India's soul is in its villages. 70% of the country's population lives in the countryside. if you want to see more authentic India then villages are must visit. there you will see the real Indian hospitality.
I boarded the same train on 24th March.😅😅😅 Actually when you board from the first or last station the passengers will be minimal. The major thing about indian railways is connecting the in between cities/routes that's where you see a swarm of people. Every train in India is almost 98% completely occupied (sleeper class) in its journey!
Mysuru is the heritage and cultural capital of Karnataka....less polluted...less population...wide roads...no traffic jams...lots of places to visit...you will enjoy...waiting for the mysuru videos

Trains in india are usually crowded according to festive season or it depends on major cities (if you're traveling there in regular trains). There are some special trains for tourists too but their tickets are costly too( not costly according to western standards). These trains are for your average Indian middle or poor classes.
Please visit Kashmir (Gulmarg, Sonmarg, Pahalgaon, Amarnath, Katra Vaishnodevi) and tell us which one is more beautiful between Kashmir and Switzerland.
I have been to Basel, Zurich & Interlaken... had a relative living 30 mins from Basel. We took a train from Zurich to Basel, then a bus to her town. Can't recall the name though. Roger Federer s hometown! You should say that! You should've taken the Volvo bus, would've been faster & cleaner. You're in the 3 tier A C compartment.

The reason you found train empty is because most of the people in Bangalore prefer to travel Mysore using their own car or buses. Their are many luxurious AC buses between bangalore - Mysore. Trains are less preferred mode of travel between bangalore and mysore
You can check curr_avbl or current availability in trains, it's available from 4hrs-1hr prior to its departure. That way, you may get confirmed ticket in AC or Non-AC coaches.
Do visit Gorakhpur...here you can visit many places like that of kushinagar,lumbani, Gorakhnath temple...also Gorakhpur is the city that has the record largest railway platform in the world...

That was only twenty minutes delay, no problem.
This is an express train. What makes you to think this is an ordinary train.

Trains in Bihar, uttar pradesh and Bengal remain jam-packed. In south, west and in North east generally trains run with less passenger.
