- Happy New Year….This new Year of the Dragon soap and aftershave from Hendrix Classics will be released 2/17/2024. I’m trying it out today for the first time to celebrate Lunar New Year 2024.
I’m also using my Edwin Jagger Red DE89 razor with the Personna blue blade and a KENSURFS 2021 Brush.

Excellent shave Ken. Those are the Personna Med Preps. The lab blues came in a white plastic blade dispenser. I never did care for them. I'm year of the snake (1977).

These are the Lab Blues. The Med Preps have different packaging and the blade itself is marked for medical use only.

Great shave. I’m from the Year of the Horse. The Personna Blues are just Personna Lab Blues or otherwise called Comfort Coated as Personna likes to call them. I’ve had good experiences with them before, but I haven’t used them in a while. Speaking of blades, I’m about to start a new round of trying out blades that are new to me soon. Let’s see which ones turn out good or bad. Have a good one!

Matt from Razor Emporium is going to do a vid on all the Personnas. It’s confusing as hell. From what I know there were 3 USA- lab blue, comfort coat and med preps. Lab blue and med preps have changed names. I could be wrong.
Old name -> new name
Lab Blue = Accuforge
Med Preps= Accuthrive

Ken, I believe @titans1127 is correct. They have some in USA that would use oil doped process. Others that have no coating, but from what I understand what you have is the closest to the original coated Personna blades.
