I can't believe I've owned my Scorpion for this long without knowing to check this. I have heard of OOBDs with the Scorp but I was always just careful when I fired mine to ensure proper lockup when pulling the trigger. I specifically did not purchase and install a binary trigger in my Scorp because of this, actually. Thank you for this video, this was really super helpful. It seems I'm lucky and got a bolt where the firing pin block plunger is to proper spec, it sits just higher than flush with the bolt. When pressing on the rear, the firing pin does move some, but not enough to protrude from the bolt face, not even enough to be flush with it either. When the firing pin block is actuated, I can observe the firing pin properly able to protrude past the bolt face. This gives me some much needed peace of mind, thank you for this.
We had a problem with our Scorpion about 2 years ago. While shooting steel the gun fired while out of battery. The gun rapidly disassembled. My husband was struck on the chin but suffered no major damage. CZ replaced the gun but told us it was because he fired a hot round. We knew that his fired out of battery. We knew that it had happened to about three more of them in our group of shooters.
A couple of things: I’m NOT trashing the scorpion. I love this gun. I’m not trashing CZ. They make good stuff. No. I’m not the lead armorer at CZ. I’m just some guy, so do with this information what you like, I’m just passing it along. If there is a potential safety issue, I feel people should know about it No. It’s not likely to happen to you and your gun probably won’t blow up but if the safety feature isn’t working correctly then there is a chance. Most will likely never know otherwise.

Yes! This needs more attention. After this happening for a second time I've elected to replace the muzzle device. I remember the first time this happened i was firings and all if the sudden my shots were hitting the grass 50yrds before my target then started hitting the roof of the range. I was baffled for weeks until I saw that little thread protector floating around. I'm lucky I guess because I've seen destroyed barrels.
Glad I came across your video. I checked mine and it's doing the same thing as yours. I have a binary trigger on mine and put about 600 rounds through it after the trigger install. Luckily nothing has happened yet but I'm definitely getting this issue resolved. Thanks for your time and information about this 👍
@cordero ChopsRaw I had to send the whole pistol. They repaired the bolt they paid for the shipping turnaround time for the whole thing was less than 2 weeks. They were very quick to handle the issue.
Update: CZ just sent me an RMA to send the bolt in for inspection. Really no other word about the issue than that. As long as they fix the issue for myself and anyone else experiencing the same, I’m good with that. 🤷🏼♂️ one guy thus far said that they are just going to send him a replacement pin block outright which I would have preferred but I suppose as long as it gets fixed, it doesn’t matter much. Once I do get it back, I’ll definitely ask if this is widespread. A poll was done on Reddit to see how many had this issue after checking their bolt and it was definitely more than a handful. 😬 approximately 30% at the moment assuming people answered honestly

Thanks for the video very informative. I picked mine up when they 1st hit the market. Just checked it out and 1st thing I noticed was how the plunger wasn’t flush with the bolt it is a little “proud” and is working properly. Thanks again 👍🏼
Thank you for informing everyone about this i didnt know this was an issue when i bought my gun. When i was cleaning my gun i noticed that im also having the same issue with the firing pin block not functioning and has the same flaw as the one in your video. My gun is all factory internals. They wanted me to send the entire gun back but because mines an NFA item they let me just send the bolt in. When I was talking to the customer service representative he told me it's an issue with the trigger pack being not in spec and causing the peening. I'm currently waiting on a timney trigger pack to come in and I hope this will resolve my problems. I really don't want to send them the entire gun back NFA items and warranty work is a PITA.
I see where you are coming from but it could potentially be counter productive. IMO I always err on the side of caution and want to give a company the ability to recognize and resolve an issue. Has someone brought this up before? Perhaps, but it is a pretty uncommon issue when compared to the numbers they sell so it may not be worth looking into recall and fiscally appropriate to replace any damaged guns that come along on occasion. Because most who have this issue will likely never even know it. I get that. But if it is apparent as a widespread problem with QC, and they are made aware, I do expect them to do the right thing. As we have all seen with many different manufacturers, they have two options, own up or push the ball back in the owners court and blame the ammo or some sort of user error. Hopefully they continue with what is my understanding as being good customer service. I have heard a few bad things but most experiences have been positive from my understanding. I have begun the warranty process and have not spoken to an armorer yet on the issue so I wanna reserve my opinion for when I have more information and experience on how they handle this issue. I will say though, you can’t really call the striker block defect an isolated incident at this point. There are too many examples
@@theuncouthtruth9551 From a consumer standpoint, we should NOT be the ones beta testing a company's product and let them feel like they are being heroes for "pointing out a flaw" that they either knew about and ignored or come in saying they were the ones who discovered it and taking credit for saving our wallets. If more people simply ASK polite for CZ to look into the problem, they may just do that. Recalls are a thing but a lot of times, recalls of guns happens AFTER the problem becomes large enough and by them enough people have gotten hurt even if the cause is unlikely like the SIG P320 drop safe problem or the SIG P365 firing pin problem.

Thanks for the video. I checked mine and although the firing pin block works, it barely works. It only takes a fraction of a millimeter of depressing the firing pin block for the firing pin to move forward…. Doesn’t instill much confidence. Took a look at my Glock and it takes much more of depressing the firing pin block for the firing pin to move forward.
I have Micro 3+ I just checked my firing pin and it does move but only by 1 mm. If not less. But as soon as you press striker block down about 2 mm into the bolt it releases firing pin. So seems like everything working just fine. From what I understand NEXUS striker block more superior and made out of titanium. I will think about upgrading for $30

@@dadadadada4974 this is true. Amd I do recommend a heavy recoil spring. But this is also at the expense of reducing the reliability of extraction from the lack of inertia. Such is the art of tuning a gun. This is extremely common with 1911 and 2011 type pistols. It relies on a singular type of cartridge. They don’t all detonate the same. Delays don’t function that way. Especially when shooting a mixed bag of cheap ammo. Physics of two stages in rearward movement change the characteristics of it. Its superior. Perfect example, albeit slightly different, is the radial delay of the MPX. It works in terms of of delay in a much similar manner. Which is why they do so well suppressed.
@ Good points. But the extractor is pretty rigid so I would think the heavier spring would help seat things. Also, I noticed the ejection is pretty strong and it even dents the cases from the top of the bolt when being sent out, so maybe a stronger spring would help settle it down as well as reduce felt recoil.
We had a guy purchase one from our shop and came in a week later. Serial number plate blown off and crack at that location. The casings he had was clearly a reload Winchester case with silver primer. I have a scorpion with 400 round through it. Would have more but ammo availibilty and price Im being smart about it. No issues. Firing pin block works as it should. I wonder if the hammer is able to contact the firing pin at any time before cartridge is chambered and if so the bolt should be modified to stop it before. I like the scorpion. I went with it because I cant bring myself to spend 2k on a 9mm semi auto no matter how nice it is. And because CZ makes good weapons. The number of incidents seem to be isolated incidents rather than a widespread problems. And doubt any one would admit they shot relaoads they loaded while drinking beer and watching NASCAR.
The hammer can contact the FP before seating. It sit far enough back in the trigger pack so that it doesn’t have to be all the way forward to hit the head of the striker.
Just checked mine right now and it's operating properly the plunger thingy is not sitting flush but doesentseem to be an issue.. I've had my Scorp since July 2017 and put countless rounds through it with 0 issues.
I just checked mine and it’s work. I have the carbine and got mine in 2018. So it was probably built in 2017 at the earliest. so probably if you have a 2017 or newer you probably want to check you bolt.
I have both the CZ Scorpion and B&T APC9 pro. The APC9 pro doesn’t even have a firing pin block or any other safety mechanism to prevent OOB detonation from what I can see….
My reciver block isn’t doing this, is there still any future danger with my Receiver ????? And if my reciver isn’t doing this is it still safe to put a binary in
Should the firing pin not move at all when spring not depressed. Mine moves a little bit but it does not extend the pin past the opening. Hope that makes sense. Yours looks like the pin moves forward the where the pin is past the opening
I have a couple thousand rounds through my Scorpion and no issues, your FPB spring might need to be replaced. That little raised portion should sit slightly above the surface of the bolt by just a tiny bit, like 1/32" or so I think is what the spec is. If the plunger sits flush or slightly below the surface of the bolt then you have a problem. I just tested mine again, and I can only move the firing pin just a tiny bit, the firing pin does not protrude beyond the bolt face until I fully depress the FPB.
Yep, my Scorpion just had an OOB detonation. Completely blew up in my hands as I was shooting it. Completely trashed the polymer and destroyed the gun. Luckily my left is ok (mostly). Seriously upsetting :(
Is it ok if the firing pin slightly moves forward, without pressing the plunger? It does not pass the hole as to where the bullet seats. Or should the firing pin not move at all unless the plunger in pressed down? Thanks for this video!
Ok.. I know this whole discussion is old , but i noticed sometimes. My scorpion 3+, will jam a projectile ..back into the case slightly . This only happens when i shoot cheap ass ammo Like blazer.... Driving the Projectile back into the case causes a compressed load. Making it a hot load / pressure spike. Wonder if polishing the ramp would the problem.
Polished ramps always helps. But even if you remedy the issue of OOBD, there is still the problem of hot ammunition. Meaning even if it seats and performs as function, by nature of a blowback design, it is still vulnerable because its polymer. Nexus will soon be releasing a full billet receiver with Bering delay that will entirely remedy any issue. No matter how hot the ammo is and works with the oem bolt. I’d strongly consider this. It’s the ultimate remedy for the platform. Because even if an OOBD or super hot round sneaks in, it’s a non issue.

Does this safety feature precisely act as an oobd device? Ive seen people talk about how a certain group of people who REALLY seem to hate dogs made cz remove the oob from our version. The a1 and s do have a different bolt part right next to this button as well. Could be for a different reason. Just want to make sure my wife can shoot a safe firearm safely. Thanks.
It’s a long answer so bear with me. Because It’s two fold. A) As I discussed , there is an issue with the striker block not functioning or losing function due to damage incurred from hammer reset and as a result it is possible to have an OOBD detonation prior to the round completely seating into battery. As such, if the striker block isn’t functioning, the hammer can strike the firing pin and there is nothing preventing the pin from hitting the primer and causing ignition before it has completely seated in the chamber. . B) the is also an issue is not so much with the scorpion but direct blow back action itself when firing extremely high pressure (IE: “hot”) ammunition. Unfortunately, as the scorpion is made of polymer, it is MUCH more susceptible to damage vs a steel or aluminum receiver with blow back action. It’s also exacerbated by bolt bounce when the bolt rebounds off the breach face like a basketball hitting the ground. Providing more opportunity for a hot round to back out of the chamber before it has finished detonating… Most blowback platforms like the stribog, AR9 variants, etc , it is unlikely the shooter even knows when it happens unless they examine all the spent casing because of the aluminum receiver, the likelihood of damage is extremely low…not saying it can’t happen, even Glocks have been blown up on occasion. But generally speaking, the problem of hot ammunition in an aluminum receiver is moot. And it’s extremely rare to see it. The scorpion, however, has a polymer clam shell receiver. And being direct blowback with no delay to let higher pressure ammo complete ignition before cycling, it is much more vulnerable to case rupture and getting blown apart. No. As of yet, CZ has not addressed this or remedied it. They’re basically fixing them case by case as they blow up. The only remedy is an aftermarket company called Nexus that has full billet aluminum receiver replacements and tool steel bolts. The receiver works with the OEM bolt and has a delay. Thats most important.

Does the firing pin safety design on this gun prevent out of battery? If the bolt has still, just as an exemple, 1 mm of travel to reach its final position, will the firing pin safety prevent the gun from firing? I suspect this is the first, not pistol, gun to be equiped with a trigger activated firing pin safety (H&K UMP firing pin safety is hammer activated). Out of battery is an underestimated issue, even on open bolt guns.
I believe a large cause of the problem is shooters not understanding how their firearms work, how (and when) to clean them, and how to inspect them when they clean them. They just shoot until the firearm malfunctions, then blame it on the firearm,
I just bought the evo 3+ on Saturday. Ran 250 round through it the first day no problem. Today I was Messi my with it and decided to clear the live round that was chambered, it will not eject it what so ever, I tried three different ammo brands, I had to fish it out every time. Since I literally bought it three days ago should I take it to the shop where I bought it and ask for advice? Or should I contact cz?
Definitely a sign that there is a problem with the extractor. Check it for any chips or breaks and see how it does when moving it. If it moves easy, the extractor spring may be broken. Sounds to me like there is definitely an extractor issue. That said, if you just bought it, take it in.
@@theuncouthtruth9551 so I followed your advice and took it to the shop as it was brand spanking new. All the guys at the gun shop gathered around and all agreed it’s an ejector problem. They said they would deal with Cz and get the problem addressed ASAP. Can’t wait to get it back with it functioning correctly.
Not exactly sure at this point. And not sure how common it is as most people probably don’t even know if theirs has this problem or not. The bolts are the same. But it could have been an overlooked batch of poorly machined striker blocks. There’s no way to tell at this point. Only way to know is to function check your bolt. Mine is from 2018.
First off thanks for making this video and making people aware of this. I got an Evo3 S2 Micro a few months ago and just checked it. Mine is fine. Have you heard anything from CZ? Have you got your bolt back?
I did get it back and the replaced the striker block. No comment on how common the issue is though. I did do my best try pry about that information 🤷🏼♂️

Purchased new. I’m not even sure how many I have at this point. I imagine upwards of 5k. And it had not malfunctioned or anything, but after reading several post about OOBDs happening spontaneously, I decided to check functioning and sure enough, the striker block was not functioning. Not sure how widespread but based on the responses I got, quite a bit never even knew theirs wasn’t working until they checked. Ordinarily it wouldn’t be an issue and seldom would be through the life of the gun. I’m sure there are many who have a striker block out of spec who are still none the wiser. But best to have that safeguard. I just stumbled across it and decided to get it fixed just in case. Piece of mind
I function check every new gun after a full teardown in which I look for machining burrs and such. Although I did not have your issue it’s nice to know this could be a potential problem. Never take a rifle from the box to the range. Never unless you’re accepting the fact you’re relying on a QC being conducted by Christ.
What does CZ say about this? I'm not gonna use a binary or bump fire myself. But shooting quickly yes.if their is a problem cz needs to step up. People buy these even though they are slightly overpriced no questions asked. Should be cz recall no questions asked.
I sent an email last night. I expect to hear back in the next day or two. I have yet to see any response from CZ according to people who have had their receiver blow up other than CZ stating it was bad ammo. But being that an out of spec striker block has nothing to do with ammo, and can absolutely result in an OOB det, I imagine they would have to address it. I sent an email last night so they haven’t had a chance to respond. I want to give them the opportunity first. But whatever happens, I will let everyone know what my experience is 👍🏻
Main Czech shooting forum is filled with reliability and OOB issues on scorpion evo. And with absolutely terrible CZ customer service experiences. Looks like CZ kind of ignores Czech customers, even if their guns blow up.
Here because my scorpion fired out of battery yesterday while in binary. It busted out the left side, damaged the barrel and the bolt. Contacting CZ now and hoping they resolve this.
From what I’ve seen, they will. Their customer service is pretty good from all accounts that I’ve read. That said, I wouldn’t volunteer the binary trigger as that information alone may void warranty. Most manufacturers reserve the right to refuse if you have aftermarket parts.

@@dadadadada4974 this is true. Amd I do recommend a heavy recoil spring. But this is also at the expense of reducing the reliability of extraction from the lack of inertia. Such is the art of tuning a gun. This is extremely common with 1911 and 2011 type pistols. It relies on a singular type of cartridge. They don’t all detonate the same. Delays don’t function that way. Especially when shooting a mixed bag of cheap ammo. Physics of two stages in rearward movement change the characteristics of it. Its superior. Perfect example, albeit slightly different, is the radial delay of the MPX. It works in terms of of delay in a much similar manner. Which is why they do so well suppressed.
@ Good points. But the extractor is pretty rigid so I would think the heavier spring would help seat things. Also, I noticed the ejection is pretty strong and it even dents the cases from the top of the bolt when being sent out, so maybe a stronger spring would help settle it down as well as reduce felt recoil.

Thanks for this video. Mine is working fine but im always on the forums and I have heard of this happening.
We had a guy purchase one from our shop and came in a week later. Serial number plate blown off and crack at that location. The casings he had was clearly a reload Winchester case with silver primer. I have a scorpion with 400 round through it. Would have more but ammo availibilty and price Im being smart about it. No issues. Firing pin block works as it should. I wonder if the hammer is able to contact the firing pin at any time before cartridge is chambered and if so the bolt should be modified to stop it before. I like the scorpion. I went with it because I cant bring myself to spend 2k on a 9mm semi auto no matter how nice it is. And because CZ makes good weapons. The number of incidents seem to be isolated incidents rather than a widespread problems. And doubt any one would admit they shot relaoads they loaded while drinking beer and watching NASCAR.
The hammer can contact the FP before seating. It sit far enough back in the trigger pack so that it doesn’t have to be all the way forward to hit the head of the striker.

Mine just had an oob detonation today. Exactly how you described, I was rapid firing and the Left side of my gun blew out.

Just checked mine right now and it's operating properly the plunger thingy is not sitting flush but doesentseem to be an issue.. I've had my Scorp since July 2017 and put countless rounds through it with 0 issues.
Does holding the bolt upsidedown like how it would sit in the firearm effect the pin any or should it be all spring tension holding it close?
I just checked mine and it’s work. I have the carbine and got mine in 2018. So it was probably built in 2017 at the earliest. so probably if you have a 2017 or newer you probably want to check you bolt.
I have both the CZ Scorpion and B&T APC9 pro. The APC9 pro doesn’t even have a firing pin block or any other safety mechanism to prevent OOB detonation from what I can see….
My scorpion blew up.. they need to address this.

Should the firing pin not move at all when spring not depressed. Mine moves a little bit but it does not extend the pin past the opening. Hope that makes sense. Yours looks like the pin moves forward the where the pin is past the opening
No. It will have a little back and forth play. What you’re looking for is to make sure it doesn’t go far enough forward to detonate a primer

I have a couple thousand rounds through my Scorpion and no issues, your FPB spring might need to be replaced. That little raised portion should sit slightly above the surface of the bolt by just a tiny bit, like 1/32" or so I think is what the spec is. If the plunger sits flush or slightly below the surface of the bolt then you have a problem. I just tested mine again, and I can only move the firing pin just a tiny bit, the firing pin does not protrude beyond the bolt face until I fully depress the FPB.
Yep, my Scorpion just had an OOB detonation. Completely blew up in my hands as I was shooting it. Completely trashed the polymer and destroyed the gun. Luckily my left is ok (mostly). Seriously upsetting :(

Yes. That’s fine. There is gonna be some play. As long as it doesn’t protrude significantly past the face so as to ignite a primer

No. The specs on it was off. It doesn’t matter what position it’s in, it allows the firing pin to pass through the channel.

Ok.. I know this whole discussion is old , but i noticed sometimes. My scorpion 3+, will jam a projectile ..back into the case slightly . This only happens when i shoot cheap ass ammo Like blazer.... Driving the Projectile back into the case causes a compressed load. Making it a hot load / pressure spike. Wonder if polishing the ramp would the problem.
Polished ramps always helps. But even if you remedy the issue of OOBD, there is still the problem of hot ammunition. Meaning even if it seats and performs as function, by nature of a blowback design, it is still vulnerable because its polymer. Nexus will soon be releasing a full billet receiver with Bering delay that will entirely remedy any issue. No matter how hot the ammo is and works with the oem bolt. I’d strongly consider this. It’s the ultimate remedy for the platform. Because even if an OOBD or super hot round sneaks in, it’s a non issue.

I’m not sure. CZ has been pretty tight lipped about it. They’ve still yet to acknowledge an ongoing problem. They will fix it but won’t comment on it.

Does this safety feature precisely act as an oobd device? Ive seen people talk about how a certain group of people who REALLY seem to hate dogs made cz remove the oob from our version. The a1 and s do have a different bolt part right next to this button as well. Could be for a different reason. Just want to make sure my wife can shoot a safe firearm safely. Thanks.

It’s a long answer so bear with me. Because It’s two fold.
A) As I discussed , there is an issue with the striker block not functioning or losing function due to damage incurred from hammer reset and as a result it is possible to have an OOBD detonation prior to the round completely seating into battery. As such, if the striker block isn’t functioning, the hammer can strike the firing pin and there is nothing preventing the pin from hitting the primer and causing ignition before it has completely seated in the chamber. .
B) the is also an issue is not so much with the scorpion but direct blow back action itself when firing extremely high pressure (IE: “hot”) ammunition. Unfortunately, as the scorpion is made of polymer, it is MUCH more susceptible to damage vs a steel or aluminum receiver with blow back action. It’s also exacerbated by bolt bounce when the bolt rebounds off the breach face like a basketball hitting the ground. Providing more opportunity for a hot round to back out of the chamber before it has finished detonating… Most blowback platforms like the stribog, AR9 variants, etc , it is unlikely the shooter even knows when it happens unless they examine all the spent casing because of the aluminum receiver, the likelihood of damage is extremely low…not saying it can’t happen, even Glocks have been blown up on occasion. But generally speaking, the problem of hot ammunition in an aluminum receiver is moot. And it’s extremely rare to see it. The scorpion, however, has a polymer clam shell receiver. And being direct blowback with no delay to let higher pressure ammo complete ignition before cycling, it is much more vulnerable to case rupture and getting blown apart.
No. As of yet, CZ has not addressed this or remedied it. They’re basically fixing them case by case as they blow up. The only remedy is an aftermarket company called Nexus that has full billet aluminum receiver replacements and tool steel bolts. The receiver works with the OEM bolt and has a delay. Thats most important.

Does the firing pin safety design on this gun prevent out of battery?
If the bolt has still, just as an exemple, 1 mm of travel to reach its final position, will the firing pin safety prevent the gun from firing?
I suspect this is the first, not pistol, gun to be equiped with a trigger activated firing pin safety (H&K UMP firing pin safety is hammer activated).
Out of battery is an underestimated issue, even on open bolt guns.
I believe a large cause of the problem is shooters not understanding how their firearms work, how (and when) to clean them, and how to inspect them when they clean them. They just shoot until the firearm malfunctions, then blame it on the firearm,
I just bought the evo 3+ on Saturday. Ran 250 round through it the first day no problem. Today I was Messi my with it and decided to clear the live round that was chambered, it will not eject it what so ever, I tried three different ammo brands, I had to fish it out every time. Since I literally bought it three days ago should I take it to the shop where I bought it and ask for advice? Or should I contact cz?
Definitely a sign that there is a problem with the extractor. Check it for any chips or breaks and see how it does when moving it. If it moves easy, the extractor spring may be broken. Sounds to me like there is definitely an extractor issue. That said, if you just bought it, take it in.
@@theuncouthtruth9551 so I followed your advice and took it to the shop as it was brand spanking new. All the guys at the gun shop gathered around and all agreed it’s an ejector problem. They said they would deal with Cz and get the problem addressed ASAP. Can’t wait to get it back with it functioning correctly.
Is this for the old Gen scorpions? Or the newer ones?
Not exactly sure at this point. And not sure how common it is as most people probably don’t even know if theirs has this problem or not. The bolts are the same. But it could have been an overlooked batch of poorly machined striker blocks. There’s no way to tell at this point. Only way to know is to function check your bolt. Mine is from 2018.

I did get it back and the replaced the striker block. No comment on how common the issue is though. I did do my best try pry about that information 🤷🏼♂️

Purchased new. I’m not even sure how many I have at this point. I imagine upwards of 5k. And it had not malfunctioned or anything, but after reading several post about OOBDs happening spontaneously, I decided to check functioning and sure enough, the striker block was not functioning. Not sure how widespread but based on the responses I got, quite a bit never even knew theirs wasn’t working until they checked. Ordinarily it wouldn’t be an issue and seldom would be through the life of the gun. I’m sure there are many who have a striker block out of spec who are still none the wiser. But best to have that safeguard. I just stumbled across it and decided to get it fixed just in case. Piece of mind

I function check every new gun after a full teardown in which I look for machining burrs and such. Although I did not have your issue it’s nice to know this could be a potential problem. Never take a rifle from the box to the range. Never unless you’re accepting the fact you’re relying on a QC being conducted by Christ.
What does CZ say about this? I'm not gonna use a binary or bump fire myself. But shooting quickly yes.if their is a problem cz needs to step up. People buy these even though they are slightly overpriced no questions asked. Should be cz recall no questions asked.
I sent an email last night. I expect to hear back in the next day or two. I have yet to see any response from CZ according to people who have had their receiver blow up other than CZ stating it was bad ammo. But being that an out of spec striker block has nothing to do with ammo, and can absolutely result in an OOB det, I imagine they would have to address it. I sent an email last night so they haven’t had a chance to respond. I want to give them the opportunity first. But whatever happens, I will let everyone know what my experience is 👍🏻
They will do nothing because us civilian Scorpions are sold without a safety sear because the aft thinks we will make machine guns out of them.

Here because my scorpion fired out of battery yesterday while in binary. It busted out the left side, damaged the barrel and the bolt. Contacting CZ now and hoping they resolve this.
From what I’ve seen, they will. Their customer service is pretty good from all accounts that I’ve read. That said, I wouldn’t volunteer the binary trigger as that information alone may void warranty. Most manufacturers reserve the right to refuse if you have aftermarket parts.

Total bullshit. The striker block is not there to prevent OOB detonation, it is there to prevent a ND due to dropping the gun.
