Nacets are one of my top 5 blades and have been so for about 4 years or so, my top 5 hasn't changed a lot in that time either. There doesn't seem to be many Tubers showing marathon blades, yours is the only one I've found. To Shine or not to Shine that is the question of when to stop adding water, like you said though not all soaps give a shine, I go by when the lather starts falling over itself (but not dripping) and creamy look, most of my soaps I use do make shiny lather at that stage.👌🤠👌

Cannot get my head around using a blade 500 times maybe it's my skin but for me it is one and done. I shave about 3 times a week so about 160 blades a year give or take. Pl us i don't have that many razors maybe 10 or 11. Have a GREAT weekend.

Did you decide what point you are going to retire that blade? A pack of 5 would last 3000 shaves if you go to 600. 1 pack of blades would last 8 years wow that’s wild.

@@danblacksher6289 my plan is to retire the blade when it stops giving me reasonable shaves. Whenever that is.
Once I reach 600, I'm going to send it off to be looked at under a microscope.
And I'll probably take a break from it then and use other blades.
The blade is doing well right now, so I think that reaching 600 is going to be doable. But let's say if the stops working well enough at 700, then my plan is to flip it over and see what the second side gives me.
I have no idea if it will feel like a fresh blade, or not. I don't know if it will temporarily give me good shaves and then expire quickly, or not. And I don't even know if it is going to be better shaving than the first side. I'm looking forward to find out.
