Nice bowl find good looking shape and size and great for "The Year of the Dragon" lathers😅 I haven't used an un-textured bowl for ages, with my soap scoop loading method I like the way a textured surface holds onto the soap during the brush soap pickup stage.👌🤠👌

Interesting bowl my friend! I like the design on it very much. I usually use a bowl just like that without any texture inside but i've been wondering if having some texture inside helps get better lather, what is your opinion on the matter my friend?

I talked about that recently on the channel. The short of it is this:
A textured bowl will not make a lather special, it just makes it a little bit quicker. Maybe by a minute or two is my experience.
If a bowl is textured too aggressively, then it could introduce too much air into the lather.
But one thing I like about some textured bowls that is very practical is a bump or bumps in the middle that stop the brush handle from sinking down into the suds.
