Coker was different after that long td pass to Ridley. He got hammered and still stood in there until the last possible second. He played with a lot more confidence the rest of the season.
this was the game all the experts said would officially eliminate bama from the playoffs. Instead, Coker officially won the team over totally with his performance
Alabama so disrespectful, almost every game they play they start the game off tricking the other team into thinking they have a shot to win, then they just dominate them..its like they dont start fast on purpose
Watching this I'm 2023 just to get a feel of what I believe the 2023 offense is going to be. Sure, I LOVED Tua, and Mac, and Bryce, but, man I am so happy we are about to get back to SMASHMOUTH football. Damn the qb. Just don't lose the game. Power run game, great defense. Can. Not. Wait.
marktastic86 Correct. They know they'll be playing an overrated and overconfident mediocre team. I've never understood how UGA keeps fooling pollsters. They aren't chokers, just overrated.
the game essentially ended after the Ragland hit on Mitchell. after that play, Rueben Foster tackles Michel for no gain then Minkah blocks the ensuing punt and strolls in with a TD. RTR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DeusAndante they asked for it when they came out on the field disrespecting the bama players before the game started trying to intimidate them. Bama did their talking during the game in regulation.
7:00 I need to see another angle because that looked like a sure-fire interception. Now I know uncle Verne completely blew the call, as per usual in those days but from the angle in the video, it popped up, right into the bama defenders hands
Before this game they said that Georgia had the #1 rated quarterback in the country and Georgia fans bragged about it , after this game Georgia fans said that he was the worst and turned against him and coach Richt , the quarterback went to the bench and never played again and Richt got fired after the season , and Georgia only lost 2 games that year .
Coker should've been starting over Simms the year before. Simms might have been a threat with his feet, but he was terrible most of the time with his passing choices.
Yeah if Coker would have started sooner we may not have lost to ole Miss and OSU. I remember being excited when I heard he was transferring to bama because I knew the kind of player he was and the kind of big arm he had. He's a big reason that we beat Clemson that first time in the Natty.
TheBg29st that's exactly right OSU couldn't stop big Henry he was averaging like 9 yards a run he was trucking them. And it was clear Sims wasn't having a great night, till this day I cannot understand the thinking behind the play calls we made, same for the Oklahoma game they couldn't stop big Henry either but we didn't keep feeding him for some reason.
Lane Kiffen's play calling and a defense that gave up big plays at times all year cost Bama in the OSU game, Henry and Yeldon were gashing that OSU defense. Bama had a 21-6 lead with the ball driving and Kiffen deciding that it was time to abandon the run that they had no answer for and get cute with his play calling instead of running the ball and shorting the game, he started throwing the ball which lead to turnovers the gave OSU the momentum instead of sticking to the ground and scoring again when they had the ball deep in OSU territory. It really wasn't Blake Sims fault, he was a good QB and set Bama single season passing records and distributed the ball very well, Kiffen would just get cute with his play calling instead of sticking to what was working, that's why Saban jumped his ass so much.
Mark Riecht was the coach that recruited Todd Gurley, AJ Green, Matt Stafford, Aaron Murrey, Chubb, Micheal and the minority of the players and experienced leadership that got Georgia to the championship game this past year. Reich also had Georgia very close to a National Title appearance in 2013 if not for a clutch pass from McCarron to Cooper and a Georgia receiver catching the ball a falling down and letting the clock run out. Which that year Alabama, Georgia, Florida, LSU, South Carolina, Auburn any of those teams would have stomped Notre Dame, the SEC was just loaded. I honestly don't think Georgia will get past Alabama even with Kirby Smart as there coach until Nick Saban retires. Plus Georgia had to beat South Carolina who will be good this year and I look for Florida to bounce back with Dan Mullin as their coach, Georgia isn't a guareentee to make it to the SEC championship, they did lose a lot of leadership that started 3 or 4 years at Georgia that carried them this past year, you can't just replace experience like that.
Score is 38-3 and the UGA players make one good play and celebrate. WTF. Clowns. 2008 Black Out where BAMA had these clowns at the half 31-0. Yes 31-0. BAMA has 5 straight vs the smelly Puppies.
He retired. I didn't mind him as much as Gary Danielson though. Verne was actually pretty good back in the days of Pete Jackson. Really wish they would have replaced him with Musburger but he's getting too old too.
Coker was different after that long td pass to Ridley. He got hammered and still stood in there until the last possible second. He played with a lot more confidence the rest of the season.
Easily the most underrated QB so far under Saban.
this was the game all the experts said would officially eliminate bama from the playoffs. Instead, Coker officially won the team over totally with his performance
I remember the color commentary before the game; Gary mouthing off about how he "didn't think" Alabama would get past Georgia.
Lots of analyst said that

That's a lie. You had worse QB's than Lambert
I think Joe Cox should be mentioned in this list. Dude was awful.
forget about being defeated. Georgia got their feelings hurt in this game.
DeusAndante they asked for it when they came out on the field disrespecting the bama players before the game started trying to intimidate them. Bama did their talking during the game in regulation.
They still haven't gotten over this game and it's only gotten worse for them.
When I saw Georgia players standing I. Front of Bama’s tunnel trying to intimidate them, I knew right then Bama would dominate.
IT is ALL ALABAMA and it will continue.
Coker wasn't the most elegant classic QB, but he really got the job done for Alabama. He was fun to watch.
Very big win for Bama coming off the Ole Miss upset.

Ole Miss lost 5 games after playing Alabama. Georgia lost the very next week to the Alabama National Champions 2015.

Georgia knew better than to try a black out this time. 😀
This game I believe ended Mark Richt's tenure at UGA.
They got a good coach now. They keep taking all of bama’s coaches . Now Tennessee is geting one . But i think it will make the sec stronger.
Al Shalaka A competitive SEC is what we need

Yeah...everybody wants Bama until Bama gets ahold of them! lol
