The original malahit is made in russia by two ham radio amateurs. The waiting time is very long and the momentary situation made it very difficult to pay to russia. So they gave license to some chinese companies to build 'clones' in china with full licensed software. There are different models of clones on the market, but this M2 chinese malahit is the most robust made case, very nice design and very professional inside with good quality parts.

I've had several emails back and forth from one of the ladies there that speaks perfect English and she was helpful and nice. I had ordered a Tecsun PL-330 and the problem I had with the radio was not Aliexpress's fault. But she helped me fix the problem! Been a great little radio since.

Thank you for your previous response and in advance for this one. I am in Var area France Sincerely
First it's very dependent of the frequencies you like to receive what kind of antenna you will need, as well if you have a lot of space to mount longwire antennas for hf for example... For the begin I recommend you a active loop antenna, is compact and you will have great results on hf 10khz - 30Mhz (MLA30+), some even go up until 180 mHz like the K-180WLA. You find these on ebay or AliExpress and they can be used in and outdoors and don't have to be mounted very high to have good results. If you are more interested in VHF/UHF reception I recommend you a Discone antenna, which is very wide in the reception range, this needs to be mounted as high as possible to get good results . You can connect two antennas to this malahit, one high impedance and one 50ohm. You can switch the input in the software. SNR is the difference between noise level and the signal. As better the signal as higher is the SNR. Hope this helped you, Greetings
