Agree, but then again it’s a piece of cake compared to changing out parts in an iPhone, which are also prone to wear-down. Must say that the way it has been put together at least looks well engineered. Nice video.
Very good tear down and explanation. You replied to a question concerning "writing" to aliexpress to get the encoder board. Would you please elaborate on how to do that? I can't find an ability to contact them from their website. Thanks very much in advance!
What was the reason for replacing the decoder, was it intermittent? A lot of them can be restored to working just by squiritng in some contact cleaner. Also this guy needs to get a microphone so we can hear him!
I tried that and it didn't work. I think the issue is the encoder gets worn out rather than dirty. They could save wear on it by implementing progressive tuning.
I don't see any thermal runaway protection for the battery. Isn't that a must-have for li-ion batteries? There are only two wires to the battery, positive and negative, and no visible thermal sensor on the circuit board.
It's totally crazy that the whole receiver needs to be stripped down to replace a part which will wear out easily. 🤷♂ Thanks for the video, Andy. 🙂👍

What's crazy is that this thing const over $300 considering what it is
Thanks very much for this. Just done mine. I ordered 2 of them so I have a spare for when it breaks again.
Excellent video and very useful
First! Shoutout to "Malahit DSP2 Group WorldWide".
Gute saubere Arbeit👍🏻
I couldn’t find the part shown in your video. But I found some individual encoders from the russian version that I would have to solder in.

Hello, I can't find the part on AliExpress.

In my case the encoder had a dead part, no more reaction for a half turn.. I tried with contact cleaner but no luck..

In my case I turned the Encoder too often too fast instead of tapping the display to a point , where a strong signal was.
@@andreasg7834 That's what I do mostly as well... but still, after some month it happened..

please send the link
There is no link for the product. You must write to them and ask for the replacement encoders for the DSP2. It's not a official listed product.
@@sunsoundz Didn't they warn you to do it yourself, because there something could go wrong?
