With the beachy looking vessel, the hole is cut on the edge of the resist rather than in the middle? Just want to be sure before I try it, thank you.

I sue the vinegar wash but then I wash it again vecause I dob't like the smell. Do you have any suggestions for that?

Yes, give a final rinse with a few drops of Lavender essential oil :) But the vinegar smell WILL dissipate on its own!
