I was so excited for this video. I am definitely having problems with my vessels. I found out a few days ago in the Living Felt Friends that there was a problem with the resists I was drawing. I was making the bottom of my resists flat. I am so grateful to Marie and all of the Felting Fairies. I have learned so much from your videos and whenever I run into problems I just rewatch the videos. I love you guys so much ❤ Karen Mooney
Another, nicely done, wonderfully clear, inclusive and well edited tutorial. LivingFelt's continued evolution is a joy to watch unfold and a privilege to access. Thank you for your vision.
Fantastic video! Absolutely beneficial. Informative for New and Seasoned Felters. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I’m certain these tips are those one Discovers through trial and Error. Living Felt is The Best for tutorials and supplies !
Thank you Marie, these are excellent tips. There is a bowl in the background that looks like the beach, on your left as you're facing the camera on 3 books and next to a bird. I would love to see that up close. It looks like a sort of sideways somewhat flat vessel. Neat colors too.
@@mariespaulding-XO Thank you Marie! One more thing, I'd love to learn how to wet felt a square or rectangle shape with a flat bottom (if that's even possible?) I just re-watched and caught a lot more tips I missed earlier, thank you so much! :)
Oh, excellent tips! I have not done much wet felting yet, though I have had the beanie and wrist warmer kits for some time. May need to learn a little more before starting them!

10:41 Tip 5: Choose the Best Shape In this step, we explain -- Taper the top of an open resist to keep the sides of your felted piece straight. This is because the wool tends to flare out. Also, if you want your piece to sit on a round bottom, round out the bottom of your resist. Otherwise, it will just be like one of the sides = straight. :)

Such valuable knfo! Thanks so much!
This is a fantastic video, you got me all excited and now I want to make a bunch of things on the resist… hmm… I do need new slippers 😃
Thank you I’ve never did that before I’m looking to try this yet. What kind of soap do you use ?
When u make slippers what do you use for the bottom
Some people sew on leather, or glue/sew soles, or add latex.
Please can you tell me what that beautiful blue Angelina colour is called that you’ve used on the three vessels? It’s just divine!!!!
Hi from San Diego
Were do u get all your idea's

What is the best way to get a good even layer around a cylindrical vase.
Around a vase is a bit of a challenge, but you might try batting 1st. Put the 1st layer TOP DOWN, then AROUND, REPEAT AS DESIRED.
Why is the templet for the hurricane light a teardrop shape?🤔

Would silicon work for a flat resist please?
It may be a bit sticky to the Fiber...and a bit stiff
