a little tip: put the rain cover for your backpack in one of the front pockets so it is easy to access in the event of a sudden storm! (same with the poncho or rain jacket)

I love the idea that you will be traveling and staying in warm countries. That's a good planning, especially packing wise. I applaud your strength, Louise! I feel I could never leave my dog for that long. Of course she is older than Double Face, my dog is 13 years old, and she has health challenges. Perhaps I also couldn’t do it because I don’t have a lot of dreams for travel. Not yet anyway, I am still young. But for now being home with my dog and going on small trips with her is enough! What you’re doing is brave and I think that is so cool ❤ it will be interesting to see how traveling can influence your minimalism even more! I can’t wait to see, be safe!

I wondered about a lock for your rucksack when you stay in hostels? Laundry detergent (Bronner‘s?)? Bathing costume/bikini? All stuff you can get on the road of course. I was surprised at so many long sleeve and jackets if you‘re going to warm climates. But I wouldn‘t want to be cold, either.
We barely stay in hostels, we have always our bags with for now :)
Yes I do take a bikini I add it in the description. I wash my clothes with my soap, works well ! :)

Your new jacket looks cool and practical. Though I thought it was kind of a double to a puffer jacket and rain poncho. Anyways I think all of it will be highly useful.
Thank you! I already used my jacket and the rain poncho together because of a heavy rain yesterday, so I’m glad I took it. And I will need the puffer jacket when it will be cold on boats at night for example 😊

Good luck with your travels! I'm going on a ~4months backbacking trip to South America starting next month so these videos are very helpful for me. What is the brand, model of your pants? Looks super practical! By the way, based on my research, hitchhiking in South America, in some countries you might need to pay something to contribute for the ride

I handwash only the underwear early in the evening, let it dry for the night and it’s dry the next morning ! Thank you ☺️

I love how you wear a hat to protect your face. Do women in France typically wear hats? I noticed in other places I traveled to in Europe, i was one of the only women wearing a hat or cap out and about. I have very fair skin but don't like to stand out.
I’m French, living in south of France and I don’t see a lot of people wearing a hat, especially young adults. I’m often alone with my cap 😊

We are staying at the locals houses ans sometimes hostels / hotels 😉

I'm amazed that you can / want to hitchhike. That would not be considered safe in the US!
Ludovic Hebler did a world tour by hitchhiking (he made a book about it) and he went to the US for several months, it was not easy but he made it still and found really nice people ☺️

@@minimalou_yt Ah, yes! I do think men would have a safer time. It's just not part of our culture. And some areas have signs not to pick up hitchhikers... because it's close to a prison (but that part isn't on the sign!)
