The seatpost got stuck in mine, they had to heat up the frame to remove it… now the seatpost area has black paint on it. I suppose it’s at least a little less likely to be stolen now 😅
I would recommend a dead blow instead of hammer if you don't want to damage the components. If you're in the US, Harbor Freight has them cheap with a lifetime warranty. Nice restoration.
I'm really liking the 2 tone paint! The spraymax 2k clear ended up being the most expensive part on my last bike build. But it will keep that paint looking good for a long time. Nice looking bike!
Tough cookie this one. Lots of stem hammering, cleaning, polishing and stripping left out to keep the video length down a bit. What do you think to the final result?
As I can see it has a true gravel geometry despite of v-breaks. China must copy it instead of aerobikes which they extend by a centimeter and call a “gravel”
It’s certainly a lot easier to buy a new bike but where’s the fun in that 😁 I like to revive neglected 90’s mountain bikes for nostalgia. I’m not sure if you know the history behind this bike but the orange and white clockwork was quite an iconic bike in the 90’s. Thanks for your comments! 👍🏻
Waste of time. Clockwork Orange was a movie about the deficit of democracy and the stupid Orange company tried to be original with the name...-it didn't work
beautiful ATAC stem and great to see thumb shifters, very nice!
superb bike. i would love to keep the original paint. but that's just me. great restoration!
Yeah, I’m all for original paint too usually speaking. jJust fancied a go at painting one to see if I could 😄 Next build is staying OG 👍🏻

Looks awesome!
🚴🚴Very Nice job!!
Classic orange/white/orange fade. Great job mate! 👍
Thanks very much. I very nearly went same colour and same decals but the fade is what everyone knows. It should turn some heads anyway!

Yes I normally would but that stem was already toast. It actually took me a good 25 minutes to get it out. It was seized solid
I love the new paint job. Glad you kept it mostly orange.
Thanks. It was a toss up between original colour or the classic orange and white one that everyone remembers.

Nice looking bike!
Yes it wasn’t very cheap. It looked like it was pretty well rated though so I thought I’d give it a try. What bike did you paint?
@@bikerebuilder A 1988 Sekai Bigfoot. It was the last bike build on my channel.
@@constructdestruct360 I’ll take a look 👀

nicely done. It looks as if it would be a great one to ride, ride, ride.
@@drpulpit I’ve only been down the road on this one to try it out but it does ride nice.
Sweet build 😉👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. I did 😊
Nice job 👌🏻
Thanks 😁
Perfect. Thanks for that mate.
Thanks! Glad you liked it.
beautiful ! is this the first generation clockwork?
Super
Thanks
do you replace any parts ? or use all the original ones ?

is your house near race track or something
😂 Sounds like it doesn’t it! I’ve got a main road over the back. Surprisingly I never notice it in real life.
Should have kept the beautiful original paint, stop this overrestoring
Check out some of my others videos where not paint was harmed! 🙂

Thanks! 😊
Bel lavoro, ma forse conviene comprarla nuova? Quanto costa quel lavoro per una bici di quel livello medio basso.

@@bikerebuilderthe clockwork wasn’t a low to medium bike at the time
Wouldn’t it have been better to clear coat over the decals
@@Stevehatesgravel In hindsight I think I would if I did it again yes 👍🏻
