Question: lots of people use backpacks. School kids, college kids, military, business people, hikers etc. You should do a video on how much weight is okay and for how long. Because I walk about 10 miles with a 40lb backpack about 2 times a week. Wondering if that is good or bad.
a proper backpack fit should transfer all that weight through the frame of the backpack to your hip belt. All that weight should be carried on your hips, and not on your shoulders. The shoulder straps are just to keep the backpack from falling backwards, there should only be a very small amount of pressure on the front of your shoulders, not the tops. You should be able to slide your fingers easily under the shoulder strap above your shoulders. Sorry this reply is quite late, but better late than never, hopefully you've found the way to adjust your backpack so that it fits properly by now. If not, make sure to adjust it so that ALL the weight is being carried on your hips, none on your shoulders. If it's not possible, your backpack is probably too small and you need one with a larger frame.
@@NiCopernicus Well hot damn... Someone should tell the military that... They had me out there carrying bags with just my shoulders... This is why I get 10% disability for my back problems.
Sir, I have De Quervain's Tenosynovitis. Having severe pain and inflammation. Inflammation is very high that even anatomical snuffbox is not visible. My wrist mobility has reduced to just 1 or 2%. Please suggest something!
None of those tests bother me. However, I have had ongoing tightness in my dominant wrist plus some numbness in my finger tips. Is there a different video of yours you would recommend?
If the numbness is in the thumb, index and middle finger then you may want to research carpal tunnel syndrome. If it is more on the small finger then it’s possibly cubital tunnel which is compression of the ulnar nerve. Hope this helps. We do have a very lengthy video on carpal tunnel already uploaded.

I’m wondering if this is good for CMC arthritis and trigger thumb as well as deQuervains? My arthritis has been annoying lately and as a knitter and piano player this is unfortunate.
1 felt on my right wrist while i played soccer a week ago..my hand, thumb and wrist were swollen. A week further now and the swelling on my hand is gone but the pain is still there..my thumb is still a little bit swollen and the pain is still there and the pain on wrist is also there..i can barely take things with my hand and it constently hurts and the pain goes through my whole arm till my shoulders..i can do nothig with my arm and it kills me..are my wrist and thumb broken?
I was painting with spray.
Ah thank you
It hurts too bad to do this. Will letting it rest help?
Not to mention seeding comments, any real person has tried these exercises please let us know about your situation. Thank you very much. ^^
I also have pain in my pointer and middle finger going up my fore arm and my shoulder blade
@@TheUpperHand Thanks for your response. I notice the numbness mainly in the index and middle fingers, the discomfort on the back of the wrist. Can you link to your carpal tunnel video?

Sure! This video is very in depth. We are releasing a shorter one focused on exercises/tips for Carpal Tunnel mainly within the next week also so be looking out for that one too!
What if i have such sensitivity i can't put pressure on that tendon to do the excersize? There's a lump that's developed near that area as well and it sends flashing pain through my hand and wrist :/ is it too far gone to try this method?
Ice it and don’t use it. Trust it will heal once you relax and allow it.
My wrist has been bothering me for years, but it's not in that location. I think it's more of a tendinitis lower in the wrist. Would love to know how to get rid of the pain as it's getting in the way of a lot of things, in particular any exercise in a pushup position or on hands and knees.
What if you don’t text with your THUMB? My hand and fingers have tingling/numbness 24/7!!!!!!! Do you recommend these exercises??
How do I get rid of a ganglion cyst and why does it come and go ? I do type on the computer for 8 hrs 5 days a weeks
Granted it was thirty years ago, but I had one on the wrist of my left hand. Went to my doc, he lanced it. Simple as that. Never returned.
Sir not my thumb but all my other fingers pain when I do any activities with them. Like kneading a dough or washing clothes with hands or utensils with hands. Can you help with that?
Sounds like arthritis I’m not a expert though
Yo dis realy worked
What causes to get pain in that location? Is that because of computer mouse??
You guys are awesome!
I've visit 2 doctor but my pain wont go away..they just advice me to put ice..and charge me expensive fee.. suffered the pain for 3months..been doin the exercise for few minutes can feel much more diffrent
Wow Exactly what I needed today!
i have a severe case of this. it feels as if my arm is on fire under the skin when doing certain things with my left had. I't's very numb and pain tingles to the touch. I've been wearing a wrist/thumb splint and icing 3x a day but it hasn't gotten better.
If it tingles it could be carpal tunnel
Also known as "mommy hand" from the same thumb action to pick up a baby.
