TESTING PERFUME & MAKEUP IN A HUMID/ TROPICAL CLIMATE.
I share my experience with the perfume, how it was on me (the chemistry on my skin) and so it may be a different on you. In the end, it's all bout body chemistry.
I am a light to medium, olive skin toned 'Morena/ Filipina' (MAC NC 27-30) with a neutral-warm undertone. My skin type is combination (sometimes oily - normal and sometimes oily - dry) with occasional break outs. WHAT WORKS FOR ME MAY NOT WORK FOR YOU (and vice versa).

Tumpak na naman and review mo 'te! The dry down on my skin pulls more of the vanilla & incense than the "green" notes. It lasts quite a while on me pero and projection niya is extremely intimate. People would most likely smell it on you only if they hugged you. But anyway, I have a feeling that you may enjoy VANILLE ANTIQUE ☺️ Ethereal, classy and mysterious ang dating niya sakin kaso ang rude ng presyo!
Rosie Jane Lake is the closest G Water dupe that I've tried and it's way cheaper of course. It projects a bit more, you'd smell like a lemon cookie pero the dry down of the bergamot and other citrus notes is a bit off putting on me.
Tried this perfume, London winter time, and to me it starts out as lemon soda then softens to vanilla. It also lasted long. And fresh scent. Pero nung inamoy ko ulit summer months in London, same pa rin na fresh pero hindi masyadong long lasting. And mas mabilis lumabas yung medyo masculine scent, So that time I went with Bal D'afrique instead, kasi it smells tropical pero complex. Nung inuwi ko yun sa PH, doon na lumabas yung pineapple notes ng Bal D'Afrique. So for me, colder months ko mas gusto suotin yung byredo, lasts longer and mas gusto ko yung notes na lumalabas
There was a time lahat naka Gypsy Water, just like nung nag trending ung Santal 33. I didn't like it at first pero nagustuhan ko din. Amoy forest or trees sya on me; mas malakas ung woody/smoky notes nya on my skin dahil dun sa sandalwood and juniper. It lasts 8-12 hours on my skin.
I do prefer wearing Gypsy Water pag medyo maulan and cool ang weather. I never reach for it pag mainit and humid. And you're right! I do get the Eau Duelle smell.

Mabango siya Pero parang naamoy ko na sya bfore… para syang lumang cologne/ perfume na local ng mga elders sa province hehehe basta basic sya, hindi girly but ok naman
I like it. Amoy pine tree sya saken. Parang nasa Baguio vibes.
Sa skin ko naman, mas maganda yung Mojave Ghost. Yung Gypsy Water coconut na maasim yung dry down on me.

I love Gypsy Water .. very fresh citrus vanilla sakin .. yng masculine note na lumalabas is parang Head & Shoulders shampoo lol.
Sometimes I layer it with Jo Malone Basil and Neroli I always get compliments pag yan gamit ko ..
