Oh my goodness I love how you breakdown the review I am very pleased and so I am subscribing
Great review Manny! Keen to try this one now and touched to see my photo among your fragrant friends! You're definitely a valued friend to me too.
Thanks for the kind words Dan, and that means a lot.
Keep up the good work yourself as always, and I hope to be working with you again in the future.
Salute! =]
cool review video. love the images you used helps us a lot
Such a good review on this stunning fragrance! So much so, that I now want to buy this!
I tried.
Of course don't buy if you don't love it nearly as much as I do too though, haha.
Thank you for the kind words though. Salute! =]
Smokey vanilla! Amazing and light combination! 😍 Feeling like my native fragrance)
Beautiful and valid review
Love the story about why you love the scent! Gotta try me sum gypsy h2o
Thank you so much! Hope you enjoy it. =]
Really want to try this one. So hard to test these fragrances in my city. Barely anything projects on my skin so I'm less concerned about projection or compliments. Great review.
Unscented lotion on your pulse points + spraying there, one spray on the back of my neck, one spray in my hair, and then one full spray in the air + walking into it is usually my routine with ones as light as this.
Hope you like this one fam.
And thanks for the kind words as always. =]
really nice review, i bought gypsy water for my mother's birthday and she really likes it.
Thank you so much Yonatan!
Yeah, I've noticed that it's mostly women who like this one, but this juice really speaks to me.
Glad you're mother enjoys it too! =]
Great review boss! If I like the foresty smell of by Kilian's Straight to Heaven, would this satisfy that same itch? Also, is Straight to Heaven Extreme worth it as well? Thanks for any help!
Tk for mention the weather. 😘
First!
Please do more videos on Creed like unboxings, first impressions, etc... :D
Hey!
I'll do some more Creed content come the spring, but I'd prefer not to right now.
The reason is because the Creeds that I do own are not in season, sadly [well, most Creeds aren't in season].
So I won't get the proper empirical results to report to you with if I am doing reviews for them.
As for unboxings/first impressions, I am not receiving any of them anytime soon, so I am afraid I cannot.
Thank you for the request though, and the ongoing support. =]
Manny, amazing review. I needed it so much, going to blind buy it
To me it was very mild, and very soft,I was underwhelmed,I would give it a 6 out of 10.
My signature scent!!! However..... it DOES NOT LAST long at all 😩💝
This was underwhelming for me. Something that smells similar but better is "Bergamot & Oud" by Jo Malone.
Great video fam. It has been awhile since your dedicated reviews.
Cheers,
Mansoor,
Fam, I want to do at least one fragrance review per season, hahaha.
So maybe I get to either La Nuit de L'Homme, Pure Havane, or Tobacco Vanille soon enough. :P
And as far as Bergamot & Oud, it may do the fresher and woodier aspects better, and it probably performs better [wow, I can't believe I am saying that for a Jo Malone for once], but for me, the creaminess and sweetness of Gypsy Water is undeniable.
Bergamot & Oud is one that I thought of revisiting though, so thanks for confirming that for me.
And thanks as always for the kind words and support. =]
Excellent review. I just tested Gypsy Water yesterday and I really enjoyed it. I got whiffs of it throughout the day and I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. It is smooth, creamy, and sweet without being cloying.
Yes!
Definitely one that needs to be worn before deciding on it!
Off of paper, it may not smell inspired, but there's just beautiful stages to this one if actually worn.
Glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for the kind words.
Salute! =]
I'm sorry, but what does "off of paper"mean? And why to you call scent "juice," which feels sort of odd to me, maybe because I am a female, I don't know. I don't know much about perfume so when I look for reviews, it is hard when I am not familiar with the language. I tried GW and I am not one for scent because it gives me a headache I loved it so much I have bought a bottle I am expecting. I never really care if anyone but me and a person who is standing VERY close to me can smell it because I don't like wafting perfumes and I don't like smelling other people's perfumes unless I am very close to them as well. That said, the staying power is so bad on me (I can smell it after a couple hours at most, but only if I hold my wrist to my nose), yet I find it so hard to find a fragrance I love that I wanted to try it out. Wish me luck and if you k now o fragrances that are not too strong but last longer let me know. This doesn't smell citrusy to me at all, really-it just smells warm and creamy and sensuous .
auntdj111 off of paper means literally off of a scent strip, so like actual paper.
Juice = liquid; like the actual fragrance itself.
And yeah, to be honest, this stuff does a little better when the conditions are a little warmer, so don't expect it to last through the cold or dry cold.
But yes, immaculate scent, so I am glad you love it.
Hope you keep exploring the fragrance world furthermore, despite how your potential headaches. :P
Thank you so much for commenting. =]
Thanks for the info.. I figured juice was the liquid-it just feels odd to call scent that ;-). And thanks for the good wishes..
auntdj111 I think calling it juice is completely normal and getting the point across. Calling the actual fragrance liquid itself juice, seems to me the most accurate, best way to describe it, and not odd at all
I like Gypsy Water, but the longevity is poor. I actually don't want a scent that projects to the world. I don't care about silage. I don't care about compliments. But I have to be able to smell it on me. This stuff is gone in 60 minutes or less.
Really nice all rounded review, I really like gypsy water and bal D'afrique by Byredo
G-Water and Bae D'Afrique = BYREDO's finest. =]
I’m loyal to Mojave Ghost,
besides Gypsy water 😊
Have a ton of Byredo samples on the way along with other scents but I am specifically really excited to delve into that house .. as soon as it gets to mine haha
Hope you enjoy their stuff!
For the most part, they are subdued yet noticeable, and adventurous yet safe.
Thanks for commenting again. =]
CascadeScents thanks for all the replies today. Much love and congrats on the shout out from Jeremy Fragrance he gave u on his 100k vid.... thanks for the on going reviews bro...ps I smelled Baudelaire before ....it smelled complex so excited to try um all.
tpietropaolo01 Thank you there. Yeah, I'd like to say that JF is a good friend of the channel since its start nearly a year ago.
Baudelaire is great too! Salute. =]
please do more scent reviews.. this is waaaaaaayyy better than jamie!
Nice clean vibe overall. Not feeling the pine note though.
Will give this a couple more wearings but first impression is that this one isn't for me.
Very sophisticated review. Are you in the industry?
Is the cologne version worth trying too?
I tried a few Byredo's and I dig the Africa one. I'll order a sample of this one for sure.
The EDC is a more top heavy version of this fragrance.
I prefer the balanced stages of the EDP, plus it lasts longer.
And yes, Bal D'Afrique is also very good.
Thank you for commenting. =]
Nice review!
Thank you so much! =]
I absolutely love Gypsy Water but opted to purchase Bal d'Afrique instead. Although I liked GW more it just disappeared on my skin so I could not justify the price.
Somehow I get better performance out of Gypsy Water myself. Bal D'Afrique is even lighter for me, sadly.
Hope you're enjoying Bal D'Afrique anyway! =]
Tocca Colette smells almost identical but has a hint of violet and Iris, sadly the longevity is the same as GW
i really like ths perfume skin fragrance ❤️
Do you know of any fragrance that smells similar to the vegas hotel Aria?
I'm on a hunt for a smoky and vanilla sent yet unique.
Someone randomly once told me that my Angélique Noire by Guerlain that I was wearing smelled like her Las Vegas hotel room. It made her miss vacationing there even more, haha.
Not sure what hotel it was though! :P
Angélique Noire is more aromatic and green yet powdery in its vanilla-y ways. =]
CascadeScents hey thanks.
this reminds me a cereal for breakfast
I haven't had the opportunity to try this one, but wonder how it would compare to Bal d'Afrique. Personally, from Byredo, I really love Accord Oud from what I've smelled so far, which isn't too much yet!
I think this bodies Bal D'Afrique as far as scent; as pleasant, more interesting, and actually has a few stages to it, which is cool.
If you're into high-quality sandalwoods, then give this a try. =]
I've been wanting to check it out. So many things to sample! With all the $$$ I've spent on samples I could have bought a few bottles of stuff. Alas!
Matt McGill Get your butt to Lenox Mall or something ASAP, instead. :P
CascadeScents haha! You're right, but then I have to deal with perfume counter salespeople 😂 I doubt they'll let me walk out with like 15 samples either. I do have some time off this week so it might be an adventure for a day.
CascadeScents also, since you like sandalwood, have you tried comme de garçons wonderwood?
Smells like Commodity Gold to me.
So has anyone found a dupe?
I have live din London for the las 5 years never heard of a London fog latte., cool idea though.
It’s a drink at Starbucks, at least here
Is this recommended for hot weather
Tamdao EDP by Diptyque smells quite smilar to this :)
That's a very good one too!
Thanks for commenting! =]
Is it manly?
Every time you say "Manny back here" I here Manny Pacquiao
I do not like Gypsy Water at all. Someone buy mine whenever they are ready
