    Siri did a great job love accent hope your back feels better. You made my job a lot easier kind of watching you do it it was my first time doing a 2014 CLA I haven't bought the new thermostat but I hope it comes with that sensor in it didn't look like there's a way of getting it out at least the old one 🤔 I think I'm going to go to the dealership and get a new one from them I wouldn't want to go back in there or if there's some cheap one breaks and I'll be going to be my fault because I went to dang on cheap. God bless you and Israel .ken

    mate you are wrong on the way to starting that job, I did two of those this week the whole job is 4 bolts throttle body off, 6 bolt manifold release. 2 nuts release vacuum valve and the rest are vacuum pipes move aside without disconnecting them, 1 PCV breather 1 return airline and you get access to the thermostat, release water pipes and two torque bolts. I drained the coolant first and start the work after the drain.

      i think I have to remove the intake manifold to replace the heater water control under. how difficult to remove the intake manifold... it seems very difficult.

      you drain the coolant, to begin with, before the work starts. try next time you will see it is much shorter. good luck

    I did the same year . But , I dropped the sub frame and replaced from the bottom. It's a lot faster and cleaner.

    Could you have just went straight to the intake removal to access the thermostat or was the other stuff necessary to remove. It kinda looks like just removing the intake could have done the trick. I’m about to do one as well. Thanks for the video

    I got quoted 1200$ for this and another for 400$ parts and labor. If u had to do it again, what would u do differently for efficiency?

      I don't even remember this job. It's been a while. I've done it on a c300 recently. That was a lot less painful.

      I have the same car CLA45 and engine light is on. Scan and came with a code P059700 coolant thermostat has an electrical fault or open circuit. Are you having the same error and check light?

    • @Usmanthemecano
      @Usmanthemecano  3 роки тому

      There was a code for the thermostat. We did not just throw a part at it. The thermostat fails in the open position I believe. So get the car diagnosed before you spend money and hours of work for nothing
