I always used to hold my kittens next to my heart n would gently feed them. I’d patiently wait so they didn’t choke. I also pet them so they could get air and their stomachs could settle a little. It’s adorable when ur feeding them n they start to purr as they feed. When that happens, I’d have to kiss them. :) sacred precious cottons
If I half lay in the bed e.g. I do the same, the posture keeps natural as I almost lay:)

My cat gave birth to 3 kittens and she don't want to feed them, i don't know what to do bec these babies don't want to be fed by syrange. I'm afraid they would die if they won't drink milk. 😭 And also, is baby formula suitable for them coz it's the only thing available milk right now, i can't go out bec of quarantine.
Please order a delivery, baby formula is not ok. You should feed them if they don't nurse themselves.
I watch it because the mother still in the vet because she is sick, and one of the kittens has symptoms. So I isolate them from other cats. I was and still afraid to lose another cat because viruses that I am afraid my passed away cats gotten the virus from another vet I use to go. I hope everyone's cats/ kittens always healthy and strong.

whats wierd is that I've raised many baby kittens on cow milk, and they turned out very heathy and happy. Why is that?
Did you feel their tummy hurt? Cow milk can cause stomach ache, bloating, nausea, mild diarrhea, malnutrition and rickets as a result of before mentioned issues, and more. In most of the cases one won't even understand that there is something wrong if not observative and experienced.
But it can happen that everything is ok, it's just not recommended to feed them with cow milk due to the issues it can cause.

Hello!! :D Can I feed them almond milk/Soy milk? Those are the only ones I have and animal shelters or vets aren’t very common in my country so it’s not like I could bring the kitten there 😕

The goat milk is the best option if you don't have kitten milk replacement. Unfortunately, I don't know the better alternative.
As for you cat, give her time, pet her while kittens are trying to nurse and make sure she doesn't have eclampsia, sometimes it's a symptom of eclampsia. Also, kittens should smell familiar, so her blanket or some other thing where your cat liked to rest might help.
I read that goal and cow milk are not good for kittens. There is a powder and liquid formula for kittens at walmart for $9.97

Find a way to put the syringe end into the kitten's mouth and feed it. As for the reasons why the kitten doesn't nurse, you should go to vet as, unfortunately, there might be lots of reasons.

A verry young kitten came up to me and it's not eating drinking even water . I've tried water leftover from boiling rice and egg yolk . It's active enough . It has some of its teeth . Pls help. Do they have to be kept warm even if it's hot here? Around 32 degrees. I just saw two abandoned stray kittens 4 days back I'm still trying to learn. Their eyes aren't open yet I think they were born 4 days back and were abandoned. I waited for the night to see if mother returned but she didn't so I kept them in garage as pets not allowed in my home. I cover them with blancket but they remove it there are 2. I didn't knwo about stimulation also but I saw both of them pooping today. Eyes not open yet. Vet is going to come day after in town. Please assist. I have kittens formula they hardly take not more than three times in a day and they keep sleeping a lot. I will do the stimulation tomorrow and see changes. Is it weird that they can poop but not pee?

I'm watching this because my 4 week old kitten is the runt of the litter, he's so skinny and so dehydrated, I'm trying my best to save him.
I feed him 20 ml of lactose free formula every 4 hours, I hope he makes it 😢
I think you can start feeding him with soft pate-like kitty food. You can feed it either with a syringe or bottle, if consistency of pat doesn't allow that, mix it with some water. What about it's health? Maybe he has rickets? Kittens with rickets usually have diarrhea, they are skinny and prefer to lay rather than play. If this is the case, you also need to add vitamin D and a bit of calcium to its diet.
@@Meowgical I'm not really sure if we have that in my city, the vet wouldn't see him and only advised me to give him bebelac and didn't say anything about it being lactose free I did my own research and found out that it's better for kittens so I bought lactose free formula bebelac.
I mix 1 spoon with 30 ml of warm water, I use a 2 ml syringe to feed him because I couldn't find kittens bottles anywhere.
he drinks some and spits some but I noticed that he runs out of breath fast today and stops swallowing when I feed him so I give him around 15 minutes to rest between each ml he drinks.
I also noticed that he kept sneezing so I'm giving him Amoxicillin 0.1 ml two times a day.
I'm keeping him warm under the blankets next to me in bed just to make sure he stays under my eyes 24/7.
he indeed was tiny compared to his siblings but he doesn't have diarrhoea, he pooped earlier today it was kinda yellowish brown but wasn't runny .
I keep reading and collecting information because my vet wouldn't do much and I really really want to save him.
also a couple of hours ago I noticed that I can hear a weird sound and I couldn't tell if it's coming out of his stomach lungs or nose, I'm so new to this and I can't access any professional help 😣

If it was gasping for air they might have pneumonia, antibiotics (amoxicillin 10% solution for injections e.g. 0.01ml 3 times with a gap of 48 hours between each shot) might help in this case.

Hi I recently discovered 2 new born kittens behind my backyard, with dirt in their mouths and nose. I did my best to clean out all the dirt from their mouths and nose. I am scared that one of the kittens will pass away because it’s really small compared to the another kitten. I have bought formula and I do have a syringe to feed the smaller kittenwith. Don't worry. You'll see milk coming out of nose when she's choking. Additionally, you'll see her grasping for breath and trying to meow/meow loudly. Drop by drop and you'll feed her, it will take an hour or maybe more but you'll get experience and be more confident next time.
Be sure to keep them in warmth though, 28-30 C is a minimum. The kitty on the video is around 7days, yours is probably a couple of days. Additionally, look if she is grasping for air now, it might be she has pneumonia. They are moving around crying when they are sick. In this case she should be treated with an antibiotic, diuretic but with vet supervision.

Did he open his eyes? 2-week old kitten usually have their eyes open.
As for feeding:
8ml per every 30g of his weight per day, so it depends on weight. E.g. around 50ml daily for a 200g kitty, divide it evenly and feed him every 4 hours. Don't forget about massaging his belly after each feeding.

@@arnabchatterjee6178 well since their that young they mostly need their mothers milk to survive but if not kitten formula is the way to go but if you can't get any you should probably warm up the cow milk then just feed them drop per drop when it comes to cleaning kittens I would say wet tissue but I'd rather not clean them up yet unless they are around 2-3 weeks old
We found an abandoned cat yesterday looking about 2-3 weeks old. My country is on full lockdown so we can’t get any kitten formula and it’s gonna be extremely hard to find goat milk. Is there a way to give her cow’s milk by decreasing the gases in it?? Cow’s milk is the only thing we have at the moment so I gotta work with it temporarily :/

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend using cow milk, goat milk is the most preferable. But when it comes to survival and there is no other option for real...
Meowgical family yeah I don’t have another choice. Lockdown is uplifted on May 30 so I gotta stick with cow’s milk (I’m using evaporated milk with a bit of warm water too rather than fresh) until it’s safe to go and grab ingredients hopefully

You can buy a milk replacer for like $2, like a baby's formula but for animals. It should be available at vets or pet stores. Good luck!

Do you have goat milk? You can make a homemade kitten formulas with goat milk.Other types of milk, unfortunately, are not advised to be used.

Please don't feed them with cow milk! It is dangerous for them! They can only properly digest kitten formula
No baby formula no cow milk and not even cat milk
Only kitten formula kittens that are 2 week old should eat every 3-4 hours including the night
And usually eat between 10-14 ml of milk each feeding, if they stop eating then just stop feeding never force feed! If you have any questions you are welcome to ask

Hi, I got a 2 day old kitten who won't feed from his mom so I'm syringe feeding it.. the thing is it swallows and all but it always has a little bit of milk bubbles coming out of its nose when it is suckling and I read that it may cause aspiration pneumonia. So plz give me some tips and also let me know what to do if it inhales formula. It's fine now it just drinks and sleeps and doesn't seem to be showing any signs of distress.
Feed her drop by drop, really slow, it will help avoiding pneumonia and bubbles. Is there a specific reason she doesn't nurse? Sometimes it happens if kittens already started developing pneumonia due to amniotic fluids inhalation. A simple antibiotic shot under vet's supervision might do miracles.
@@Meowgical I have no idea.. I noticed she never nursed from the time she was born. She made some funny coughing sounds when she tried to nurse but other than that she appears fine. She's suckling from the syringe now.
@@Meowgical sorry to bother you again! But I just fed the kitty some milk out of a nursing bottle and she just sucked it all within 10mins so is that ok or is it bad? It usually takes me 30 - 45 mins to feed her with a syringe. She didn't have any bubbles coming out of her nose and she's just sleeping now.

My cat gave birth to 4 kitten but she ignores the second child (kitten) my father guess that maybe the kitten don't smell like a baby kitten anymore, and the lips of baby kitten is very dark while her siblings lips are red
This could mean that the kitten's blood in not saturated with oxygen enough. Maybe the kitten inhaled the amniotic liquid while being born. At this point you should get vet help, some antibiotics and diuretics will help in this case. While she receives treatment you would need to feed her yourself. In a week she would be fine if you start treating her.

Kittens often cry if they don't feel safe, try to feed it like on the video. You can try goat milk, baby milk mix is inadvisable but make sure it's for 0+ months if you have nothing else. It shouldn't contain sugar.
Is the milk warm? It should be warm, not hot, not barely warm, spill a few drops on your skin to check.

The mother is taking the kitten to a dangerous place even tho my dad already make a place for the kitten and the mother to stay
Use homemade kitten formula. She doesn't feel safe that's why she moves her kittens to some other place. The perfect place - where it's calm, warm and dark. You can also use antistress spray in the nest.

In my house a cat give birth to a kitten ..we don't know which cat is it....the mother cat leave the kitten in our house..the kitten is crying a lot ...today we feed it like this ..but it's newborn kitten it want her mother cat 😭
