    I just bought a 2016 13” MacBook Pro. Has an i5 3.1ghz 16gb of ram, and has a 512gb ssd. It’s in okay condition. Has a few scratches, and had the anti-glare residue that I had to remove (took maybe an hour). Then added a case onto it (now looks pretty much brand new)! Got it for $350, and I’m happy overall! Just needed it for the portability as I have a m2 mac mini for other tasks!just use the MacBook Pro for note taking, and the casual browsing experience, with some college courses.

    The keyboard on these was actually an ok experience for me. I sold mine and got a newer 16 inch simply because I needed more screen for more editing. I liked the fact that it was almost clacky but I do remember the x double ghost typing sometimes for no apparent reason.

    • @zircoben

    you love the touchbar? the touchbar is worthless - you gotta hit escape atleast twice and its damn near impossible to pinky strike it consistently. i have a middle spec 2018 mbp15.4" - fans running at 5k rpms all day apple really designed the 2018 15inch poorly. my left speaker in the 2018 started making crackling noises 3 weeks after i got it but i never wanted to give the machine back to them to fix it for how ever many weeks they said for such a little issue... Also have a 2019 16" mbp middle spec w 5300m graphics and the chassis of the laptop is a good 20% thicker on the 2019 - apple tried to make the 2018 too thin and the thermals suffered. the keyboard isnt that bad but it still sucks. ive been using apples every day since 1987 on my IIgs woz edition - 2018 mbp worst of the 6 apples ive owned... IIGS - centris 650 - power tower pro 225 - 24" imac w/ intel extreme proc - 2015 mbp - 2018 mbp - 2019 mbp

    • @zircoben
      @zircoben  Рік тому

      The touch bar is nice for the quick actions with volume, brightness, and especially the emoji. Outside of that, I can understand the hate.
      I agree about the fan noise, but as a relatively light user, even on my 2016 I really don’t hear the fans spin up much. Seems like Apple is on the right track now with their M-series machines.
