Really great gun. I have a 97k, a 99k and two 30s. Been shooting springers for over 55 years and think the 30 is my favourite. Wish I’d started out with a 30 all those years back.
True. I don't think the HW30 should really be labelled 'junior', it gives an impression of compromise, lower quality or being unsuitable for adults which is evidently not the case.
I think it's a mistake to label the HW30 as a 'junior' airgun, 'compact' might be better. A simple, traditional style break barrel with high build quality and excellent trigger at an attractive price. The low cocking effort and low overall weight makes for pleasant handling. I own several air rifles including an HW30 .22 with iron sights which is my go to fun/ plinking gun and is also ideal for enjoying some shooting with my old dad. It shoots nicely with Webley Mosquito pellets and although I don't use it for hunting it definitely has enough power to take rabbits.
Another way of locking at is the trigger unit to buy on it's own a £100 most places the barrels are fantastic it's a precision made gun that will last a life time and most of all you can easily get spares if you ever need them for the money it's a lot of gun
We need more guns like this to bring youngsters into shooting sports . I would like to see a gun half that size so small kids can have a go . I had an Original model 15 for my fifth birthday but in those days the police weren’t so draconian I went on to shoot all my life section 2 and one licences by the way I still have that gun which I get out from time to time to send a tin can spinning . Stay safe keep watching Johnny s channel and dream of better days ahead take care
I have an hw30 with iron sights and full size stock. Year or so back added a red dot sight. Great little Airguns. One of my favorite and that includes my PCP guns. Easy to cock. Take a can of pellets and a target or targets out and have some fun. This is the type gun you take out when you want to relax and just have fun.
It's not a gun specifically for juniors, and it's not an entry level gun. It's the same level of quality of all Weihrauchs. The smaller Weihrauchs are cheaper because they're easier to build or whatever. It's also incredibly accurate as you will find if you test a variety of pellets from a solid rest. Good review.
Of omdat lager kracht geeft? Zoals auto’s lager vermogen kost minder dan auto’s die veel meer vermogen hebben.. en ik zou hw30 kopen als dit na tuning meer vermogen geeft bv 13 a 15 joule.
I’ve had a HW30S jnr for about 8 years now, since I was about seven and love it and shot thousands of pellets through it, even though i have an air arms s410 i still shoot this gun a hell of a lot
Great gun i habe one in .177 . Though they arent junior guns . The pistol grip and reach to the trigger is massively long .even for full sized man hands . Kids can hardley reach the blade . I made a smaller proper proportion junior stock for mine and my 9 year old can now shoot it fine .
This video brought back some great memories of my childhood. At age 10 my dad gifted me a BSA model which he had bought used. I shot countless sparrows, starlings and pigeons with it. No scope just iron sights.
You say the cost is close to entry level PCP that is true but the differance here is with a break berrel springer or nitro piston , your ready to go ! where as PCP its not over yet , break out the wallet again for a hand pump or compressor and possibly some adaptors . Ive looked at PCP and wish that they would make a entry level kit include a pump , even if its a cheep one , like you buy the gun go home and stair at it lol maybe next pay i will get a pump . Thats why im a springer guy also i like to shoot like 200 shots when i go plinking and would want to stop every 60 shots to refill . I have looked at some co2 riffles and that i dont mind and faster to air up . But everyone has thier flavor ....👍
They are not that reliable though, the hw30s and hw99s are plagued with 'galling' issues, the gun literally eats itself!! having said that id still consider the hw30s for a beginner.
@@KTMSparkykan je me uitleggen waarom dit problemen geeft? Ik denk dat binnenkant moet alles fijn gepolijst worden en upgrade onderdelen erin monteren?
Got my lad a mint hw30 for his 10th birthday. He can't cock it himself and he needs to shoot it off of a bench, but hay... makes it super safe I suppose. Air guns are the way to get young people into the sport. Lol... when did Harry Potter start working with you 😂
Just asking if anyone reads this could you let me know if you would support a group that would get ride of gun laws in England as are bill of rights 1689 gives English protestant Christian a right to arms if you want to find out more on the English bill of rights 1689 there is a channel on UA-cam the name is daddy dragon goes through and explains the English bill of rights 1689 thanks 🏴🏴🏴
Dunno bout get rid of the laws, that would be ridiculous, but im all for making them a little bit more uncomplicated and to be honest quite messed up by knee jerk reactions to unfortunate incidents. However in these challenging times we live in today a certain amout of law is needed but the people enforcing it should know the law themselves ,unfortunately this is not the case with our police today who are quite incompetent when they get involved in the matter.

This little HW30 springer is more reliable than any PCP on the market.
I am a adult, 60 year and normal build and love mine hw30s for shooting from 10 meter inside untill 30 meter outside ! Its razor Sharp !!
Probably more of those HW30s bought by adults for their own use in back gardens than has ever been bought for juniors. They are that good.
True. I don't think the HW30 should really be labelled 'junior', it gives an impression of compromise, lower quality or being unsuitable for adults which is evidently not the case.
Yep, I’ve just bought one, and I’m no junior
I am 100% one of those people.
Yes very accurate not tune ... omg tunes pellett on pellett
I own a Weihrauch 30 S amongst my collection of air rifles and it is a firm favourite and will take out Rabbits and Squirels at 35 yards.
My grandfather just bought one a few month's back and he loves it

good day . i am from Germany !!
HW30k ... the k stands for (kurz) short ... not for kit !The gun barrel is shorter

I bought my daughter the HW30 for her 12th birthday. Two more weeks till she opens it
tried, used and owned air, centre fire, rim fire , pistol and everything else... if i had to choose one favourite it would be the HW30 by a mile

Michaels got a good beard for a junior!👍
Would love to see some comparison of junior air guns cheap Vs expensive ideas on value and what to buy 👍

Great little rifle, very accurate, mine shoots about 10 joules, 670fps with the JSB 7.33gr pellets. Stock, no modifications or tuning on mine.
Heb je ook hw30? En deed u ook met tuning waardoor uw hw30 meer joule krijgt?
Great job guys as always. Nicely reviewed Michael. Now lets work on that flinch 😀
It’s like watching Johnny in training! Great video gentlemen! Happy shooting!
A job well done on the video, mate.
i've just bought one 😍👌 love it. Solid little thing💪
I brought my boy a HW25L, brilliant little gun
Quality of engineering is my favourite "Johnnyism"

Nice basic little starter air rifle by a great and reliable European manufacturer 👍😎

The galling issue is an easy fix
