It's amazing how Abercrombie has made a comeback after all of those scandals that seemed to be insurmountable. I recently bought some dress shirts on sale, and am quite surprised by their quality and fit.
Their sweatpants and zipped hoodie are also great cop, especially because the hoodie has a two way zip which isnt common considering the price
bro who tf gives a shit about that its all about clothing for me if its cheap and good quality idc that being said I am also not from a western country or racially diverse country
Did they stop pumping cologne into their air vents?
Old Abercrombie was better than new Abercrombie #sorrynotsorry
I use to wear their jeans. But they stopped making them 100 percent cotton when stretch jeans became popular. Now they don't last...like the tshirts at the store...they fall apart quick.
I’ve been super impressed by Abercrombie lately, the price to quality and fit is top tier. The 90’s jeans fit me perfectly with no tailoring needed
Yeah it‘s like they don‘t focus on the 14y old boy but now on the 40y old father of the boy
This is exactly what I needed now that I’m getting into fashion. Any chance you can make a video on the best brands for certain items like tops, sweats, jeans, etc.? You’re great Tim!
Colorful Standard is growing on me a lot, find myself really liking the faded black lines. Another UK brand I found that's criminally underrated would be Bound. They make some beautiful textured knitwear designs with relaxed silhouettes (along with some clean minimal options for shirts/ trousers). Honestly, I think I've gotten the most compliments when wearing their pieces, so I'd say that's a very good sign too. I can't speak for the pants they produce but their shirts are incredibly comfy and I'd say even say underpriced for the quality I feel you get.
For those buying colorful standard sweatpants, be sure to look at the size conversions. An XL is 32 waist so medium is not what you want to order. Almost made that mistake but if you go with their sizing, you can't go wrong. Great quality and lightweight.
I didn’t even notice that. Im always a medium so ordered a medium and it still fits perfect in my 30 waist.
@@LethargicCarcass it's a W as long as it fits!
@Ollie Nicol I've had several hoodies, t-shirts, sweatpants, and shorts from them. Great quality regarding the material and stitching. I never ordered them directly from their site, always through END clothing so never experienced bad customer service. I hope that helps.
I'm so with you on Abercrombie. I went in their store for the first time in years last weekend and found SO many items that I bought. Amazing clothes. You're RIGHT about the Aime vibes, it's great
Their style definitely evolved for the better
Hey Tim, loved this video! I understand your style is usually more on the basics/essentials side. I'd love to see where you get more statement pieces and how to get more standout and unique pieces to accent the basics. Thanks! keep doing your thing :)
This is something I need help with too. I have so many basics that I feel need a statement piece worked in so it’s not so plain.
Glad to hear you're hitting the gym (and not skipping leg day lol). It is so hard to find jeans with right amount of bagginess. Thanks for the tips!
I've been wanting a pair of Lemaire shoes for ages although I'm still a bit on the fence about their croissant bags. I suppose it makes more sense when it's on you than when you see it on its own. My four would be RAEBURN, Paria Farzaneh, Isabel Marant (I don't think a lot of people know that they're doing menswear) and Percival.
I have the same Lemaire wool trousers in blue anthracite and it's fantastic! Christophe and Sarah-Linh Tran's work has helped me find my own style in both Lemaire and Uniqlo U, prices might be crazy at times but most of the time worth it for how long they last in both style and durability. :)
You should give "I Love Ugly" a try. It's a New Zealand boutique brand that ships internationally. I wear their pieces almost every day.
honestly one of my fav brands for the last two years. pairs well with uniqlo too! they don't have a ton of sizing options tho
top tier sweatpants!
Damn, what a throwback, haven’t seen anything from them in around a decade
I did not expect you to mention Merely Made but they've got some great stuff - I basically spent all winter in a pair of their sweatpants.
Don't know why I'm surprised to see you here, Tim's fashion is so good it reaches even the techwear guys
Hey what's up, this is andouille here
Andersson bell based in Seoul is a great brand as well. Their black fintonia Chelsea boots are amazing and go with anything
it's hard to find minimalistic/oversized clothing in brazil, and sometimes its expensive 😔
cara, a C&A, Renner e Riachuelo andam tendo boas escolhas. Pra ter um look mais oversized eu pegaria 1 tamanho acima do normal saca. Mas é verdade, marcas baratas no Brasil pra roupa minimalista é difícil achar
Recomendo a saint studio.
Try asos its cheap👍
Real. De pouco a pouco as trends da gringa chegam no Brasil. Tem pouco, mas da pra achar algumas coisas na Renner (camisa oversized ta daora), Zara, Shui, etc
Cara esquece as grandes. E essa de pegar acima do seu tamanho vai deixar a gola paia. Minhas recomendações: Hering, Nephew, Singapura, Romã, Diviné, Working Title, Carnan, Pace, Out of Box, a lista vai kkk se procurar essas no insta c vai começar a receber anuncios parecidos. Os preços variam drasticamente nessa lista ai, mas vai caçando :)
Fantastic video, really enjoyed it! Thanks Tim.
Great round up of good quality brands! That black shirt and slacks combo with Our Legacy Camion boots caught my eye. Are they from a separate brand?
Yo Tim love the videos! I have a suggestion for a video. You could do like a challenge video where you go to a budget clothing store or a thrift store. And make a outfit from those options. You could also add in a budget element if you want
I’ve been shopping Abercrombie since I first started doing fashion content and just getting into it as a hobby altogether
Outfits are so well put together 👏🏽you look amazing!
You are the best Tim! I always follow you to inspire my content on UA-cam ❤
I would add No Nationality (NN07) to the list as I love their modern timeless approach and I feel like I don't hear about them enough
The abercrombie jeans were a good shout, been struggling with sizing so that suggestion was perfect!
Glad to hear! Love these 👌
Been shopping at Abercrombie a lot now. I think the popover hoodie looks great too if you're looking for a nice blank!
they expensive af tho
@@fhfbjufhwflpkpldxeh6070 Hoodie 65 $ with Sale 55$, the simple things, like the popover Hoodie, have normal prices i would say
@@meyersimeon8420 thats expensive for a hoodie
I recently came across your contents and they are amazing... Love your vids.. Keep up
You NAILED it with Lemaire, Our Legacy, and King & Tuckfield. All out of this world design and construction. Funny that you mentioned Color Standard for ethical environment and construction and then Uniqlo who are okay on environment and not so hot on labor. It's a thing
Great video Tim! Some are out of my budget but it's nice to be introduced to some new brands 😁😁
Would love to hear your opinion on the brand Percival.. fairly well priced, lots of celebrities seen wearing them (The Rock, alot of Avengers etc.). Be great to hear your thoughts on the style and quality.
Can you do summer outfits for tropical regions please its getting hot here bruh lol.
And also I attend a medical college so I can't actually wear shorts so if you could give me a "classic" outfits ideas for summer that would be great
Abercrombie denim has always been a fave of mine since high school. Thank you for the vid
Any recs for finding that boxy fit like the Merely Made pieces? I’m short and don’t love tucking my shirts in so I’m always on the hunt for boxy shirts, especially button up ones. Love your vids!
@TimDessaint great vid. Where are those black trousers from @ 3:25? They match perfectly with the Legacy boots!
bro i came through your videos , you hanged my perception on fashion and styling ..... love from INDIA ....❣❣
always great content and awesome quality 🔥
I just stumbled across your channel and am in full stalker mode.
I worked at Abercrombie in the mid 2000s and am glad they have modernized their views and style.
Great video as always. Would love a guide on how to implement different textures into your fits, whilst not splashing £300 on a pair of issey miyake's or a knit cashmere sweater
Uniqlo or COS has really great knitwear and it’s mostly inexpensive unless you get their cashmere or like 100% wool stuff. COS if you wait for the sale has really really great quality for relatively cheap
Are you gonna do a Spring wardrobe or somenthing among those lines? recently subscribed but really enjoyed the uniqlo ine as i was visiting the UK and was looking for it
idk if u are going to read this, but i got into clothing just now (im 17) and don't know well how to build my closet even though it's not so bad. Like u im asian and don't really know which colours to wear except for the basics black/white/grey. I've tried light blue and think it fits me, but wanted to find a couple of other colours that could look good on me in some outfits.
Your video edits are KILL MOVES!
On a whole new level
I was just talking to a friend about how slept on Abercrombie is and he thought I was crazy. Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks they are on the upside 🤝
A&F have been popping off lately I’ve been loving it
Also - Colourful Standard are made in Portugal, unlike many brands. Lemaire is lovely but would argue on the point of quality materials - the twist cardigan is 50% acrylic and £350!
A lot of cotton products that are sold by brands that aren't fast fashion are made in Portugal
For designer brands synthetic is on purpose to achieve a texture or silhouette not possible with natural materials such as those Issey Miyake pleats which are polyester
For cheaper brands it's a cost cutter
Lots of top brands have some of thier clothes made in Portugal (ie Paul Smith) and developing some of their own. Portuguese Flannel and Brava fabrics have both some amazing shirts and overshirts
Lemaire is silent luxury - and very well made. I wish that I could afford more by them.
Abercrombie closed down in Denmark back in 2019. They had terrible reputation and no customers. I just remember a very dark store front with insane smell of perfume, when walking past it on the main shopping street in Copenhagen.
can you also make a vlog - recommendations on how to properly choose eye glass or sun glass depending on the shape of the face...
One brand that I've been obsessing over recently is Sunflower from Denmark
Agreed on Abercrombie, weirdly underrated now
P and co is definitely underrated while they are a biker/tattoo style brand their plain ts and cargos are the best quality I’ve owned would recommend
I am wanting to start a clothing brand called "Unidentified" made for everyone who feels like they don't fit in with any particular group or are different. A brand that anyone can be part of and not be judged. A brand that doesn't care about hype. I have a ton of amazing clothing designs and logo ideas but I don't know where to even start and it really sucks because I feel like I can make something really great.
Cool finds Tim! What size are you wearing in the Merely Made crop shirt?
Hmmmm... to round out a Top 10, I'd add:
Schott NYC: From New York
3Sixteen: From Los Angeles
Private White V.C.: From the UK
Casatmantic: From South Africa
De Bonne Facture: From Paris
That would make 11, but they're worth checking out 🙏
I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed Abercrombie's progress!!
Would love to see a video on how you trim your beard, might help younger guys like me who haven't a clue on how to get that stubble going
Great selection!! I'd add Studio Nicholson to the british underrated brands, pricey but amazing quality and design
Totally agree! Studio Nicholson has some amazing stuff 👍
Just bought an our legacy silk button up shirt and have to say the quality and fit are both amazing
Yess I’ve tried those as well they’re amazing! 🙌
abercrombie has heavyweight shirts which are now my go to oversized shirts
ID on the grey hoodie in this video? Looks a lil different from the cole buxton mentioned in previous videos
Hey Tim, what shoes are you wearing during the Abercrombie jeans section?
I knew the second one was gonna be Abercrombie HAHA. I agree with you 100% their rebrand is phenomenal and severely underrated
Thanks for the vids!
I would go for Scotch & Soda!
You should give Private White VC a look-in for big coats.
What’s the grey hoodie you’re wearing during the ad Tim?
Does anyone know what is the grey Sweatshirt he’s wearing at some part of the video (when he’s speaking about Squarespace) ?
Hi,which stores are you buy quality shirts and pants.?
hey I really love these cloths but I was wondering if you could do a more affordable version of this
King and Tuckfield looks dope...will try to check out their store when I visit London in May
Hey Tim, can I ask what size are you wearing for the Lemaire coact?
When it comes to underrated fashion brands here is my take: there are some insane german streetwear brands like Peso or LFDY, maybe not particularly ur style, but gaining a lot of attention worldwide at the moment.
our legacy and their box t shirts, just awesome. and the new 2023 hover t shirt is even better, just go larger size.
i have an our legacy safari scene embroidered work shirt from like 5 years ago bloody nice piece
Now we need a video on how to budget for fashion
Hey Tim what brand do you recommend for basics like socks (in the UK)? Thanks!
Our Legacy rocks! Their shirts are my uniform. Beautiful fabrics too. The Berlin flagship is much bigger than the London store.
Other brands to add:
1. Officine creative designed beautifully crafted shoes
2. Journal Standard from Japan
1:52 anyone got any idea what black and white penny loafers those are? They don't look like the bass weejuns. Does A&F do penny loafers?
Where is your black tee from that your wearing to talk through the brands?
You are the best Tim, love your styles.big regards from Bhutan
J. Crew is cut form the same cloth as Abercrombie and has been having something of a resurgence in the last 2 years.
Please let me recommend Sternberg line in Global work. It is Japanese brand. Global work is casual and affordable one. Sternberg is the upper line born in 2022.
What length do you go for with the a&f jeans? Same height as you
I already knew A&F would be on here, one of my favorite brands ever.
I have to know where you bought your gray hoodie!
How tall are you man? I think we are the same height (im a short guy) and am trying to judge some of the clothes you mention!
Tim, where do you buy your frames?
Which shoe do you wearing in first oufit the white and brown one
I have trouble with the baggy silhouettes, I just look like things fit me poorly. How do you style oversized things to look chic and not just frumpy?
Also, I really appreciate that you included more sustainable brands here.
Focus on the rule of thirds, the cut and quality of your cloathing, and the textures of the cloathing. It helps a lot if youre tall too but thats not something you can work on saddly xD
@@kv.4960 thanks!
Could you make a video of clothing brands or pieces u find 'timeless'.
Check out out Manière De Voir y'all. One of my favourite brands to pick up sick and affordable statement pieces
Hey Tim, great content! I would add COS and MUSINSA
I wish you had my shape. Lol would love your take on stockier build with a heftier mid section. 😅
What to wear when attending graduation 😂 so advance but I'm just preparing it so I can buy it haha
Watching this with a tea ☕
What brand is that black shirt your wearing when sitting
Denmark have lot good brands with high quality that u should try (wood wood, han kjøbenhavn, Halo, 7 days active, and last but not least bareentshirt wich means in danish "just a t-shirt" it is without a doubt the best t-shirts in the world)
I am danish so i may be a bit biased ;)
Whats the brand of the hoodie you’re wearing on the squarespacw add tho 😮
A&F has become a staple for me. Their basics are very very good. I stay away from their blended fabrics though.
Hey where do you get your tanks from?
can somebody find a online store in uk or europe for Abercrombie?
Tim! What’s the hoodie you’re wearing in the Squarespace sponsored a d?! 3:45
that's a dope hoodie! where is it from?
I would add "Huni Design" and "Ola Kala" to the list. I really like the Elysium collection from Ola Kala, and in my opinion, the cardigan is the best piece of 2022
2:25 Tim fucking Dessaint just told me to go back to mall for clothes. We've come full circle people
