As stated with all parameters equal the top speed means more powerful battery. Of course, if you slow down to the speed of the less powerful battery in this case, 30 mph that would give you greater range, so you should still be able to figure out the price versus the range by doing the math
The difference is acceleration off throttle and more pedal power besides longer range. I took out my stock 48v 12ah on my 500WATT GEAR MOTOR and used a 52v 20ah. Now, as long as the stock controller is fixed at minimal settings of not exceeding top speeds as with mine set at 21mph. My controller will not exceed the input of juice from battery and limit power from the battery based on the controller. You do not want to Excell a gear motor pass 28 mph, the gears will wear out very fast and ruin the gear motor in a short amount of time.
There’s marginal difference provided the controller is the same..a 48v is 54v fully charged..and a 52v is 58v..the difference is marginal. If picking between 48 or 52 go whichever is cheaper
I've really gotten into the electronic age of Ecars and Ebikes. So much so, I got a Physics textbook from the library and memorized ohm's law (AxR = V) and A×V = W. And learned how to mathematically derive any of the terms by solving the formula for any variable in a circuit. Where can I get a job building Lithium battery packs for Ebikes or ECars? Should I build a few 18650 packs myself first of different S/P configurations and order the BMS & components. Making a nice Bluetooth BMS Smart Battery is my 2023 project. For an Ebike. Then maybe a 12 Volt 80 amp hr one for my car (live on SoCal coast where it hasn't dropped below 36°F in over a decade). I'd like to install a heater pack on it anyway, just in case I do LifePO4 for a vehicle engine compartment starter battery. Should I get a bread board from the electronics shop like a German kid and mess with completing circuits?
I notice a lot of 52v bikes come with a 25amp controller, does it make sense to upgrade the controller to a 35 or 40A one to get more efficiency and ultimately top speed?
I got a 750w(1400wpeak)-48v/20ah battery Raev GT, & it'll do 28mph, but I just got a Raev GTX, that's bigger, so heavier, but got a 1kw(1400 peak)- 52v/28ah battery, but will do 35-38 on a flat plane, & the acceleration difference is nuts! 😆 I got the GTX I think for $2,199 with Code SLOVE, or REVOLT, 1 wasn't active anymore, but they're great bikes, but the Raev GTX is the 1! 👍

I like my 36v pack. It's light compact and gets me where I need to be. Gharges quick too. I think amps are more important than volts for most people's daily journey. You trying to tell me those batteries have either 13 or 14 cells inside? Not to mention a 12v 6cell lead acid battery fully charged will have about 13.8 volts

Depends on the bms (i think). I don't think charging over 4 or 5 amps is advisable on most systems and usually the charger over 3 amps will have a cooling fan, which is a possible point of failure and fire.

Hi hello sir, may I allow to ask a question and please help reply with your expertise on ebike battery. Yesterday when I was paddle my ebike at home with the parking stand mount on the floor, for testing the ebike speed, then suddenly my mother was talking to me, instead of I need to press the hand brake to stop the spining ebike, I turned off the ignition key, THEN I heard a "pop" sound (the motorhub was still in high speed spinning) I don't know the "pop" sound was came from the battery or came from the controller. Sir, may I ask in most of the cases, let say, if a person paddle the ebike halfway through, when the battery still on going supplying the energy into the controller, and the controller still on going supplying the power into the motorhub, and the motorhub still drawing power spinning at fast speed, then he turn off the ignition key OUT OF SUDDEN to cut off the ON GOING power supply intake from the battery, in this case what will happen to my battery? Sir, please help me, then I unpluged the ebike power plug from the battery, then I turn on the key ignition to purposely release the electric in the controller, then I plug the ebike power plug into the battery and heard a as usual spark sound. My concern now is, how do I know I already wound, injury, or damage my battery or not sir. Hope you understand my question, trillion thanks if you would please reply sir.

@@BeforeThisNovember well he could be lying but honestly I’m very surprised with what you can do with BAFANG motors, often those things are sold rated at 750w but are actually able to pull like 1500-2000w so that plus the overall efficiency means it’s possible to get really fast speeds out of them, for example NPL adventures rides a 750 BAFANG hub motor bike that he put a Frankenrunner from grin and a 72v battery and I think he pulls like 42mph

My controller has a shut off when the volts and or amps get to the set point it shuts off. It also has some computer thing wear when the battery get so low it will shut off to worn you whate 10 min for reset then you can drive about 15 miles more then shit shuts off till charged
With the same amperage the only difference is the extra speed from a 52v the higher the voltage gets more speed, but me i dont care much about super speedy i'm more focus on long range ampere

Mid drive would be a good choice. I run a 750 watt geared hub on 48 volts. I weigh 226 lbs with an additional 20 lbs of gear and on flats and small hills it does great. Steep hills it still pulls but I pedal to keep it above 15 mph

Great video, but it's crazy cause I run a bbshd 48v system and I get between 34 and 37mph in 8th gear. My bike weighs around 65 pds and I'm 230.

Bms is junk. Had the same problem with a brand new hailong battery pack. Replaced the bms for $30 and no issues since.
