Always a trade off. I dig the size and stability of the Seeker but it’s a hoss and a bit of a pita to haul around the woods. I’ve Jerry rigged it to my pack but it will either go to a smaller/lighter platform or a bigger/framed pack this season.
Great review again the one option I never seen discussed for weakside shot is using a squirrel step and your climbing stick to move 360° around the tree. It also good for blocking the deers view of you
I was never able to get the predator rock solid with camming it like that. It looks like yours had movement as well. Toe camming was recommended as a solution, but I hated doing that while 20’ in the air.
I've never toe hooked my predator. I can recall a few times where the top pulled off the tree but even that didn't create shifting that I noticed. I might not weigh enough for it to be a big deal.
I've never understood why more platforms r built like the shape of a treestand rather than the shape of the Embattlement. A treestand isn't made to traverse around the tree. The WEI/OOAL combination is something I was looking for, not a miniature treestand.
So when are gonna get all your saddles, platforms, sticks and any other climbing method you have and put on your own teach and train ???, Hurry the season will be here in a heart beat 👍👍👍👍👍😜😜😜😜😜😜
Awesome informative video as always Thank you! I only have the predator, but I am confident going into the upcoming season with it. The Cruzer Seeker does seem very nicely made though.
That little cord is a nice little thing to put onto your WEI strap. I always thought it would be cool to put those foot steps onto the Embattlement strap. Especially when u have a 🌳 that is a big oak with 5' of circumference. Pretty much the only kinds of 🌳 I can see that have a great advantage when it comes to hunting with a saddle.
I don't think anyone knows for sure yet because there isn't a production model. That weight was pulled from a review, not from their published numbers.

I ended going with a Predator XL since my other gear was from Tethrd, I got a discount coupon from a Teach and Train, plus I am 6' 250 lbs with size 14 wide boots. I was looking at the TrophyLine Mission in some videos, but decided to go with the matching set.
Very informative video. Thanks for taking the time. I like the looks of the Seeker, but can not cope with the extra weight and less packability. I am sticking with the Predator for this season. I did switch the bracket out to the one trophyline line Novix uses. Novix Echo tree stand bracket. It is quiter than the tethrd black one that squeaks on some trees for me. I'm with you there, if I carry a platform I want it to be light and compact. I just looked at that bracket and it does look intriguing. The bracket offered by EWO seems to be an excellent option as well.

Everything I've read the ridge runner people like the best, do you like the ridge runner over the predator xl?

I've got a whole review on the Seeker. I sold mine almost as soon as I got it. There was a lot of boot noise and mine started squeaking like crazy.

Any chance you are going to review the 2021 Latitude saddles? Would be very interested to hear you thoughts on the Classic 2 and Method 2 saddles.
YES! I have been testing both the Method 2 and the XL. I've never used the Classic but I am tempted to pick it up.
Hard to beat the og predator imo. I picked up one of those strap stage things for my hang on, but haven't tried it yet. Nice video man
