In the fall of 2018, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Steve Perry made his long-awaited return with the release of "Traces", the legendary musician’s first new album in 25 years. The album’s personal expression of love, inspiration and renewal resonated with both critics and fans around the world, thrilled to have their ‘voice of a generation’ making new music once again.
Now, on "Traces (Alternative Versions & Sketches)", Perry revisits several of his favorite tracks, stripping away the grand production touches, taking the songs down to their essence. Presented acoustic and raw, (including some in sketch form) tracks like “Sun Shines Gray,” “No Erasin’,” “No More Cryin’,” and “Most Of All” take on new and richer meaning. In this setting, Perry’s iconic soulful voice glides out-front vibrant, clear and warm while the lyrics take on greater significance as well, even more intimate than before.

Steve sounds great. Especially with the songs stripped down...you hear the clarity..and there's that smooth sounding voice of his that makes us smile..in this particular song, I could just see a relaxed stage setting...Steve with an acoustic ,unplugged format..it could happen.

I can imagine the stage too with them playing unplugged. Sure does make me smile and yes the stripped down of this song has amazing clarity! Sounds awesome! Steve sounds great!
The whole stripped down/acoustic version of 'Traces' should definitely put to bed the stories and rumors of Steve losing to his voice because clearly he still it!! His voice maybe raspier but he definitely still has range. I hope and pray Steve decides to go back on the road at some point next year or whenever he feels comfortable.

Wow I love this version pure Steve
He is working now through the changes in his aging voice. A real rasp with gives it character. No, no more soaring like in the 70's or early 80's. But still that distinctness intact, and such a feel as shown here. I respect him for the way he knows how excel within what he has. I love it and enjoy his songs.
His voice has really shaped back up since the first recording of Traces too. Awesome to hear, and I look forward to more.

I also have never married, I do have a daughter who is 51years old and her name is Kellie I was an unmarried Mother at 18 years old. She has given me 3 beautiful Grandchildren, 29, 26, and 18 years old, 2 girls and 1boy. I couldn’t be prouder of them thy have all turned into great caring people.
