A top motors job is to spin the drive cables. If the top isn’t raising under the motors power it’s usually other issues like worn parts so keep that in mind.

Great videos I put my big gear in backwards tighten it down and it ran for a few minutes until it got so hot they melted together and then wouldn't turn again, these gears are extremely hard to come by and very expensive , I was much more careful when I got the new set I'm putting them back together in the right direction. I also rebuilt my gearboxes, I'm about ready to reinstall them and the top is up. Should I run the gears until they're all the way in the up Direction and stop or leave them with a little bit of play? Thank you so much for your time and your videos, I'm in Georgia I need someone to put new material on once I get the scissor top operational. Wish you were a lot closer buddy

How do you change the toggle switch,my motor is new for the top but still jus click when I hit the switch to let it down

I've tested my motor this way..mine only goes one way..does that mean the motor is going bad or wiring issues? also my switch only makes the clicking noise when I motion it "up".. what do you suggest?

liljosemiami I have no extras available at the moment. Yes they can be rebuilt I heard of it costing 250-300
