Wow I’m from Chicago too! Crazy timing on this video.
Haha, nice! Thanks for watching man.
Nothing compares to Chicago.. i wanna go back 😭
I'm thinking of moving to Denver from Puerto Rico. 😁 However I was born in Chicago and grew up in Illinois and when I was 18 I moved to FL until I was 23 then moved to the Island 🏝️.
Oh man, moving to Puerto Rico at 23 sounds like a great move! Denver would be a huge change, but if you did Chicago for that long, Denver will be easy.
@@livingindenverpropertybros It would be but it's the economics and politics are not the best, The job market is saturated. For example, you need a Bachelor's degree to be a bank teller, administrative assistant, or a paralegal and you'll only be getting paid $8.00 or $9.00/hr. Meanwhile in other states those jobs can join at be attained with just a highschool diploma and they pay much more.
Whoa, nice work boys! That was a real treat that you spoke directly to peeps from Chicago. Winters are brutal here where the wind rips your skin, (legit) when it -10 degrees and windy. Have you ever been so cold where your eye lids slightly stick when you blink? Yep, that happens with a short walk outside in the winter. No bueno. I’m getting more pumped thinking about switchin’ it up and moving out there! Thanks again!
LOL, you described that so perfectly. Appreciate you watching! Get out to Colorado someday so you can wear shorts and crocs in the winter haha.
I'm definitely debating on moving to Denver from Chicago.....this is all very interesting
What did you decide?! Hopefully our videos were able to help. Let us know if you have any questions!
Hii i been watching you guys videos, i just moved to Denver from LA, so far im loving it, one thing that was odd is the speed limits😅 it changes like crazy.
Thanks Rene! Never noticed the speed limit thing before! What are your initial thoughts of Denver?
Ah yes the video we've all been waiting for
You coming out here yet?
@@livingindenverpropertybros Move date: 6/30!
Do NYC next!
We're finally moving to Castle Rock from CA next month and unfortunately have to rent because of the crazy market and there are no lots available. We are on 3 waiting lists for about 2-3 months now just waiting for a lot to be released and price increases are going up 10-20k a week! So if anybody is looking to buy a new build, be prepared to wait months just to get a lot. Hope the market calms down a little
What builder and community are you on a list with? We know most of them and a lot of times get some insider info when buyers fall out and something becomes available.
Can you compare Kansas City vs Denver
I moved from Chicago to SE Aurora two years ago. I miss the rain and thunderstorms, the food, the great architecture, etc. What I don't miss is the sky high property taxes!
Man, that's a huge change! Overall would you say it's been a good move for you?
@@livingindenverpropertybros I'm paying about $2800 on a 2400 sq ft house. In Illinois, I'd be looking at $9k to $10k per year.
People are friendlier in Denver as well. The air in Denver feels a lot cleaner than the air in Chicago.
Couldn't agree more!
Really? Commerce City is bad and near Denver
Just a recommendation, how about doing from Texas to denver 😅 I’ve been thinking about it a lot
This is going to be a big one!
DUDE I COMMENTED THIS TOO YEAAH!!! TEXAS ->COLORADO ♡♥︎♡♥︎♡
Where is that shot at 2:00?
That's in Southeast Aurora at the Aurora Reservoir. We cover that area in our Southshore neighborhood video which is the surrounding area to the lake.
Wait ...do one on moving from Minnesota! 😅 jk probably all the same
Minnesota is an easy one. It's less cold here and you'll miss out on any awesome accents like you have out there.
@@livingindenverpropertybros Yes I noticed it was typically about 15° warmer than here in winter which makes a big difference! like I would definitely go for a walk outside in Winter at 40° but 25 probably not. Ya you betcha 😅
Denver has no soul though.
