You still repaired the van better than most could, and laughed hard at the questioning of life choices 🤣. It’s gonna be a useful addition to the fleet. Loving the channel and genuinely in awe of the amount of work you get through, respect 👍
Cheers mate.
@@Urchfab _TRYING_ to restore my '98 Vario ~ I've got ten times your ambition and less than an ounce of your skills; definitely questioning my life choices!
You've got a lot of talent man. That was a lot of work and you made it look easy. But I guess that's what pros do. Well done Matt. 👍
Cheers mate.
This was fun to watch, looking forward to the rest of the build. Thanks for sharing
I know you hate doing rust. But we as a channel enjoy seeing you make it right and most time improve on the design. I hope you take more time and show more of the van rebuild. Meaning last it last and still be able to use it in between eps.
A great family event, Matt; even if it had you (maybe all?) questioning at times. I'm always encouraged by you. Well done!
You make it look so effortless. Great work.
Cheers 🍻
Matt uses tig like most people use Elmer’s glue. So impressive.
It good to see you getting the team work going 🙂
Excellent work Matt
Awesome job! Most people just wouldn’t bother, but that van will be good for years now 😎
Knowing how much you hate doing rust repairs…. You’ve just done a cracking job there Matt. Proper job. Credit to you bud.
Cheers mate, much appreciated.
still a very good job for "just doing it quickly". Thanks for sharing.👍
You make it look easy.
Well done Mr 😎
As always bloody good work, nice to see everyone getting involved, keep up the good work Matt
It looks so easy when you’r doing it, it’s mesmerazing to watch👍🏻
Cheers mate.
Great job matey, if I'd done all that work I'd keep it forever , you're skills are so underrated, well done again🎉
Matt doesn't give a sh!t.
He just grinds, fabricates and weld.
Be like Matt 😅
If I were you, I would not be questioning my life choices. You have mad skills. Thanks for sharing.
there rust buckets and the job you done there perfect
Pretty decent repairs Matt! Fixing rust is so damned difficult!
Excellent as always, Matt, and very educational this one. I was surprised to see there are a wide selection of repair panels for this vehicle. With a bit of elbow grease you can end up with quite a cheap yet utilitarian motor.👍
What a nice team of helpers...
Fantastic video, together with the work completed so far, very skillfully done
Nice work! 👍👍
Excellent … your highly skilled.. enjoyed watching … thanks
Superb work no question about it
Wow, you have already tripled its value! Nice, neat work.
Question life choices too, your fab skills are above and beyond, great work
I no how much you love rust repair work well done matt
Good job Matt!!
Great job Matt 😊 Lovely seeing your family involved 😍
Nice update. You made that lot look easy smashed it mate
Well done with the replacement door bottoms, I made a complete hash on a Mini door years ago. After watching plenty of UA-cam I can recommend Fitzee's Fabrications methods. He would have opened the skins up and replaced the inners using whats left of the outer as the reference points and then replaced the outer panel with cut and butt. Well worth a look as its made my repairs look a lot better.
Yes I can see that’s better way of doing it actually 👍
Well you 'cracked on' there Matt, and don't undersell yourself, you'll have made a far better job than some would....Look forward to the rest of the series!...💪💪👍👍
Nice work good to see it coming together 🏁🏁
Nice family project
Nicely done Matt, helps that you have a plasma cutter, more so that your good with you hands, hope all goes together to plan
Sure can tell this wasn't your first time doing that type work. Very good quality and fit. Thumbs Up!
great job, and helped me for a lower door repair on my van
enjoyed that 1, looking forward to future instalments
Good video. Like seeing the family help with the project👍 If you could tolerate the boredom of the work it's obvious you could make a living at rust repair, I doubt there is a shortage of rust there. Can't wait to see you using in with the family.
Hi Matt. Excellent job on the repairs. There looks to be a decent amount of repair panels available, which certainly helps a lot. I need some of the cavity rust preventative for my new 100E project. All the best, Mart in Solihull.
Excellent work and you’re a lucky man to get the family involved. Cheers from USA!
coming along nicely .. given these things habit of rusting & the extra holes for windows , i would think about making bigger / more drainage holes in the doors
You make it look so easy you’ve done a cracking job there Matt ! I wish you were a bit closer then I could call upon you welding skills on the frame tunnel of my 64 Vespa, not looking forward to it but it’s all good practice
Great job. I watch your video followed by Humble road.
Your fabrication is next level 👍
Great video matt
Originally from Cheltenham buddy and live the mongrel and mini . Keep the cameras rolling
Love not live derrrrrr
Thanks 👍
Great jobb Matt, look forward to the next episode !!😀😀
Absolute perfection those repairs
Nice job, didn't know cars rusted so bad in Britain.
Of course you made that panel with 2mm steel, that's the Urchfab way! 😊 By the time you have woven your magic, it will be stronger than new. Excellent. 👍
Joggerler got to be my fav tool
Nicely done
Nice progress Matt!
Great video and work.
UA-cam is crap I have been Subscribed to your channel from the very beginning yet never got any notification of this series yet it shows I am still Subscribed and all notifications ticked
Good Job.
Great stuff!
You are brave to do that door bottom without trying it on the van!
HA! The sass! “I’m not ready and I’m not going.”
That was mild too!
Great episode thanks 👍. 12:40 That's exactly what my 12 year old would say😂😂
Great work. That ct1 alone should hold it together well for years to come!
I need my bumps feeling, I run an 08 sprinter and I've just bought my daughter an 06 plate transit.
Love the skills And I like the music
Great project 👍🏻
good work as always
Amazing job…..totally jealous of your ability and life choices……😊
Love the resto great content , nice job .
Top stuff
Nice job.... With added "family bonding" 😂😂
Tin Worms. Don't you just love them.
Matt you’ve jus TV shown me how to do most of the work needed in my LT35. Cheers Bro.
Where did you get the other repair panels fit the doors. ?
Looking forwards t o the next one.
A claw hammer Matt.... thought you were doing metal work!😅
nice hair cut mate suits you
@12:20, what's that red car? Lancia Beta maybe? Got plans for that one? I imagine a lot of rust repairs if it's a Beta :)
You look how I feel and I feel like you look 😂
Fancy doing some welding on my Sapphire Cosworth? 😁
Hates rust repair, just going to get it good enough to be safe and usable for a little while - proceeds to do a better job than most people who professionally 'restore' cars
great job man. what kind of sealer did you use on the panels. thanks for sharing. take care. peter
I can’t remember the name, just a cheap version of tiger seal 👍
I've always said the my missus that the back doors need addressing. She's not so keen on it, for some reason.
It's always funny to me watching people who are really good at something intentionally try to half-ass it and seeing them just be incapable of doing a bad job.
Is it going to be Urchfab green? :)
Awesome 👍🏽👍🏽
Tut, Tut, Tut ... where are your Safety Gloves when using that Grinderette etc.?
That's more paint than Merc put on
Butt weld?
yes'm!
In the very early days you questioned your choices about being able to make a living from youtube and your production quality and accent I said then there was nothing wrong with your production or your accent and if I wanted a so called polished production I would watch main stream which I don't and now with 174k SUBS you have done really well, maybe see if you can do a collaboration with another UA-cam with a lot of SUBS also lets see more track time please Regards from Liverpool
This was a "pity watch". With no interest whatsoever on re-badged LT's, and quite happily could live the rest of my life without seeing another one that close, (they are all the same, btw), I clicked and watched this video all the way to the end. Although the plasma cutter and ready-made repair panels do help, that was still a lot of work just to get an old "Sprinter" back on the tarmac. Hat is off, Sir. And may I suggest to go through the pushings, ball joints, bearings and brakes. Just to make the traveling experience slightly more bearable.
There is something this man can not do, have no idea what though. Maybe he can't can't dance the Macarena whilst playing two cellos?
bodywork might not be youre favorite part of the work but you seem to be pretty good at it
allways supprized at the amount of rust pressent on brittish vehicles , they just about melt away like the witch in the wizzard of oz \
being on an island with salt water harsh winters salted roads and a lot of rain does mess these cars up
Seeing the rear end of that van would scare the shit out of me; those rear windows make it look like a Police camera van ! Maybe add some reflective stickers on the back just to mess with people when parked up ?
👍👍
Hey mat !
Had you considered that if the mongrel had been painted and returned you’d never be doing this stuff ?
Clouds, silver linings etc etc.
🎉
