Great video!
Another quality video. Thank you 😊
This is super pretty, cute, great functionality with the dial stitches. I miss my all mechanical machine that I purchased new in 1980. Nice work getting running well!
That's amazing that you work on machines like this. It's so sad when an old machine no longer works. You should including something about "fixing a sewing machine" in your video's title.
Thanks
Agree, words that have no meaning make it too hard to find what your looking for.
Very interesting, thanks.
Awesome info
I personally prefer the vintage machines. NO PLASTIC PARTS. More often than not people will they are “broken” when all they really need is some TLC. A good cleaning and oiling.
I'd like look for that book. Author please, and publication date. Thanks.
The complete handbook of sewing machine repair by howard hutchison copyright 1980.
If you plan to use this machine, be careful not to sew very thick fabrics. It appears to have plastic gears which will not tolerate heavy usage.
Yes, it's definitely not a machine for sewing thick layers of leather or denim. It's mostly for piecing or garment making.
Thanks😂
How do I get the stitch length to change? I’ve moved the dial, but stitch stays tiny
It sounds like you have a problem with your machine. There are a few different issues that could result in the stitch length not changing. The most common issue is the feed dogs. Is the bobbin case area and the space underneath your feed dogs free of lint? Also, are your feed dogs 1mm above the needle plate. If not you'll need to make some adjustments or take it in for service.
@@ThimbleBook thank you for the quick reply. I’ll check those. I just thought I was missing something cause I didn’t even realize the inside of the dial pushed in, which I still can’t figure out why but it doesn’t seem to affect the length.
