Being a lifetime UConn fan Hawkins is the total opposite of bouknight especially on offense I think Hawkins has a easier time adjusting to the league because even though he needs to be better a self creator and playmaker the outside shooting and movement skills translate better imo I think he improves on his weaknesses love his mentality and competitiveness
My comparison for him is buddy hield and for that reason I love the fit of him on the pacers where he can learn behind buddy for a year or two and then replace him

His shot creation could really develop under Phil Handy if he were to somehow fall to 17 which I highly fkn doubt. Would be perfect in a Golden State, Sacramento, Miami, OKC, Denver, Portland, & ATL type of system since he’s really good w/o the ball.
@@carltonbanks5470 I was under the impression they were going to keep Josh Richardson & play Dyson Daniel’s more who they selected 8th in the draft last year. So I didn’t think he’d get a chance there. That’s why I didn’t list NOLA. Amazing pick up for them though.
@@ROB_AGT Josh Richardson was an expiring contract that just signed with Miami. Dyson Daniels will play more as a PG. The only other competition for backup guard minutes is Kira Lewis another lottery pick from 2020, who they probably will trade.

He runs, cuts, and steps back like Steph Curry. He needs to take a page out of Steph Curry's book and hit the weight room to be able to take the bumps and hits of NBA players.
I like that pick for this team. He would fit perfectly next to Dolano Banton off the bench providing spacing. This may also necessitate the need to start Gary Trent Jr and bring, likely, OG Anunoby off the bench.
