Well last year I correctly called my guy Ben Mathurin to the Pacers and that went extremely well. This year it's Walker. Barring some help in the lottery we might have to trade up a few picks to get him, but it's a perfect fit for the team. Our biggest issues are defense/rebounding and he helps a ton with each, all the while not hindering Turner at all. Slides right in at the 4 next to Myles and would love playing with Haliburton.
Hes got a surprisingly extremely quick first step for a big guy. Like you said you would like to see him be more physical but also its nice to see he is comfortable taking guard and wing shots and that raises his ceiling imo. Yeah its not the greatest thing that this behemoth is reminding me of tyrese maxey on a lot of his plays, but if he can polish it and learn to incorporate it with more physical contact then his offensive potential is quite high.
Imagine doing all of these videos just for some of these guys to be busts or end up as role players. That's some dedication and love for what you do. Keep it up
Think hes going to be incredible. Pistons fan, if we didnt have top 3, potentially top 1 dreams, he would be my guy from 4 down. The fit on the pacers would be incredible. Hope that happens.
@@ItsLorV2Stew is not as athletic as him, cannot take off the dribble like him, cannot move off the ball like him, did not shoot 3s in college like him, does not have the jumping ability like him, does not have the floor vision like him. Basically people are making that stupid comp mostly because the look similar.😂
I get Draymond Green vibes from him (in the good way). Mainly just because he processes things so well, he has great court vision and can make quick decisions because of it. The "volleyball pass" at 5:45 is a perfect example of that. He didn't have to see an open player, he already knew because of where everyone was on the court and didn't have to hesitate to turn mid-air and tip the ball the second it got to him. That ability helps so much with ball movement, defensive rotations, etc. If the Pistons move down in the lottery I'd love for them to draft Walker. High bball-IQ guys/"feel for the game" guys rarely bust and are pretty big assets come playoff time when thinking one step ahead of your opponent is even more valuable. He makes sense for the Pistons too because they don't need lead ball handlers, they need guys that do "all the other stuff". Also, great content! I rely heavily on these videos to learn about prospects and this channel is pretty much my go-to one.
That’s true, but I feel as if he doesn’t give enough on offense. I like Taylor Hendrix a tad more and I think he a more versatile defender for todays NBA
@@gtzentertainmentz9715 I really like Hendricks and he's my second option for the Pistons if Walker isn't available at 5. I only give Walker the tie breaker because I think his feel for the game is elite.
I hope my pacers get this guy at #7 in this years draft. Walker looks like he could be a legitimate DPOY candidate in a couple of years & by how the lottery went Pacers are only team in top 8 that need a PF
I think he'd be a really good fit in OKC in the spot that JWill occupied this year. Seems more talented on either side of the ball and can really grow into being a nice fit longterm beside Chet considering he provides secondary rim protection and can space, but Chet can also space the floor for him when he gets the ball downlow and Walker's passing in these clips really impressed me. Shai (Shooter+Defender like a KCP) JDub Walker Chet is a championship starting 5. Dort/Joe/Jwill/Dieng ++++ whatever else off the bench
Exactly the type of player the Blazers need. When Justice Winslow was healthy this year, his defense and playmaking turned a bad team into arguably a top 10 team, Walker is bigger, more athletic, has star potential, cheap and healthy
Wendell Carter Jr Paolo Banchero Jarace Walker Franz Wagner Gradey Dick Markelle Fultz Jalen Suggs Cole Anthony Jonathan Isaac Gary Harris What an amazing 10 man rotation. Sign a better backup center and this team is locked and loaded.
Walker should study Kwaih Leonard, Scottie Pippen and some Magic Johnson. With his hieght and wingspan these are guy's to look at. Kwaih and Scottie shot base start off similar. Except their feet meet closer together when they jump to shoot. This is where Walker needs work, his feet are too far apart in his jump shot. Trying to imitate these guy's could help him a lot. Magic wasn't a shooter, but his passing instincts and drives were phenomenal. His handles and Kwaih hesitations, movements to get to rim and his shot. Scottie Pippen had a great shot, was a lot faster than all these guy's. His drive instincts were phenomenal and had no issues getting to the rim and his dunks were awesome. Scottie has the best shot form of all these guy's as well. Often bringing his feet to more of a point before the release. Walker has a good shot form, maybe he will need to square it up a little more once he changes his feet. He has a lot of wrist and hand follow through. But his feet are often apart and he tends to fade back on his jumper. This is where he could learn a lot from Kwaih. Kwaih has an exceptional pull up midrange. From the slight bend in his left knee. Bringing his feet from apart together and his arm's square.
I would love to see him drafted by the Indiana Pacers. He could come in immediately at that PF position alongside Myles Turner and be that glue player that brings the necessary physicality to elevate the defense and be another connector alongside Tyrese Haliburton playmaking for the scorers on this team. 😊
Where’s he gonna land? With this group of players he’s in of Taylor Hendricks, Cam Whitmore, Keyonte George, I just think OKC could come out nowhere and snipe any one of them with a trade up at any point
A lot of his “improvement areas” he prbly won’t be asked to do a lot of in the NBA, definitely finish drives more physically, but the shot creation won’t be a part of his role
I just don't see how he is a better prospect than Hendricks. I'd rather have hendricks.. better at switching and guarding guards and better shot blocker. Also better 3pt shooter. Also seems to have a higher iq seeing the shots jarace often gives up for a forced shot closer.
He doesn't seem to have the higher IQ at all, look at how fast Walker is making passes and reads of the defense while in the mid air. His dump offs are forward elite Hendricks IS NOT doing that. Not to mention Walker is flat-out stronger and will be able to stop himself getting backed down by guys like Draymond Green... where as Hendricks would get backed down into the first row of fans lol as he's waaaay lighter than the 245 lbs Walker is. Walkerton legit guard the three and four spot in the NBA from an IQ, wait, defensive ability, height length, awareness, tenacity perspective. He legit makes winning plays on both ends of the floor. That being said I'm cool with giving up some cerebral ability for the athleticism and slightly better 3 shooting of Hendricks if troy Weaver is too! They're both really great prospect at 5

When they know they have a chance to go top 5 in the draft. They do not want to get injured. So expect him to go 100% after payday.
We drafted him bud lol. Well we drafted Bilal then traded him to the Wizard's for Walker

I feel like Jarace could be a great two-way player in the league in my opinion he's the most underrated player in this year's draft class
How is he underrated? He's projected to go top 6
@cadesworld5913 what I mean is that he is a top-ten pick but in my opinion, he's not talked about as much
I don’t think he’s underrated at this point. Their are PLENTY of boards who have him at #4-#6
Plays like a an athletic draymond green
I want him in Detroit!
He’s going to be an amazing pacer. I’m in love
