Keep it up my brother! I, too am multilingual (English, Spanish, Hebrew and Modern Greek), and an African-American. You're so correct that being multilingual can change your life! I'm proud of you. You speak beautifully!
I can't speak for the other languages but your Spanish and Portuguese are superb! Your Spanish sounds very neutral with a bit of Caribbean influences and your Portuguese sounds, well, Portuguese (from Portugal). I'm even more surprised that you picked that particular variant which is a lot harder than the one from Brazil as it has more complicated grammar and sounds. Congratulations!
I am VERY impressed!! I minored in French in college eons ago, but committed the cardinal sin of learning a language. I was too afraid to make mistakes. I didn't realize how important it was for me to learn from them. I was too worried about looking "dumb". I still have a love for languages and hope to be fluent in one of them one day. I've picked up some languages from my missions trips. The latest one is to Haiti. That's how I found your video. I want to have some knowledge of Haitian Creole before we leave in a month. I've also dabbled in Xhosa and Afrikaans. (I visited Cape Town in 2012). Keep up the great work. You are an inspiration!! And definitely keep giving honor to the Lord!! 👏🏾
This is really inspiring man I already speak Spanish and Portuguese im now in the process of learning Haitian Creole and im very excited to learn this new language it's only been three days and I can pick up a lot of what you said good stuff man this is extreme motivation
Awesome! I've rarely heard a polyglot sound so good across all those languages. And it's great to hear often-neglected languages like Lingala and Krio. I love it.
Yeah man! Bon travail, asante kwa video. I didn't know that krio was a language but it sounds crazy! I must learn that. I currently study russian, french, and kiswahili, but your video has inspired me to add hatian creole, krio, lingala, italian and portugeuse in the future thanks!
yeh man! if two people can communicate in it completely its a language. if it has grammatical rules, as in:- if you say things the wrong way round it's not understood, then it's a language.
bravo bro - only disappointed u didn't mention Uganda as a country where Swahili is spoken. But great job - seems like you had to learn all of them - I speak 3 of the above - Y solo tenia que aprendir espanol de mi vecinos en atlanta. Entiendo um poco de portuguese
You go boy! Lol Wow! What an inspiration. I am Haitian and ran into your channel trying to learn creole as my mom never taught me. I thought you were Haitian, because your accent speaking creole was so on point, and yet here you are! I am pretty familiar with Spanish and am able to read Hebrew. I’ve lost a bit of my memory of speaking it as I did a few years back. But you have definitely inspired me to push for more.
Wicked cool and thanks for sharing! I'm five months into learning Swedish for the heck of it. I love the language (actually, I love all languages), but Swedish has my current interest. I learn on my own and I skype with a friend in Stockholm and write with another friend in Germany. Formal classes don't seem to work for me, but practical usage drives the language into my long-term memory. The more I use it, the better I become. Everyone should learn at least two languages. Peace and One Love
you are super intelligent because I speak English, French and many African languages and I must say you are the most interesting African American I've ever come acrossed. subscribing!!!!!💕💕💕💕😘
Keep that going mdogo!! Je pal francaise un petite peu et aussie je veux parler Swahili. So please keep posting Swahili vids and recommending programs or materials. Amani na Umoja Mdogo
Você é otimo!!!! Gosto do facto vque você fala linguas fluentamente. Uaaaaau! Que mnaravilho velho! Eu também quero aprender Haitian Creole, Frances e talvcez Italiano. Você é um professor out so esdtudou as linguyas na universidade? Agora você me mostrou que eu preciso estudar mais. Obrigada! E lhe desejo muito suceso.
My man, as a Latin who speaks Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and my ancestry is also of those three ethnicities, I congratulate you on your accents damn. Even the French was beautiful. I can read and understand French but I can't speak it. It is hard for me to pronounce but you nailed it. Amazing. I tried Swahili but I failed miserably. Keep it up man.
hey sankala, i have just subscribed to your channel days ago, i love your videos they're so interesting i'm from africa, Burundi but my parents are originally from congo , i know how hard it is to learn a foreign language, i speak french, swahili,(kinyarwanda, kirundi,) which are the same just the accent and some words. my father speaks lingala and many congleze languages i'm learning English for my future, i'm interested in learning Spanish and many languages it's all with the help of God as you said, be blessed.
I am just amazed! Your accent is so good when you speak the different languages. I would like to know if you could break down how much you listened to the language verses speaking, what would be more?
I listened to them a lot, but the ratio is usually 50/50. I like listening and trying to replicate what I'm hearing as closely as possible, where possible. Of course that goes out the window if I'm listening to something that's well beyond my level at the time, but yeah, 50/50. How long all depends on how much time I have on my hands.
Good job learning these languages! I speak Brazilian Portuguese and one of my ex-girlfriends was from Brazil, so being able to communicate with her in Portuguese was a must as she didn't know English. However, both of these offer a lot more languages than Living Language.
Thanks! I agree with you, this new LL series is actually pretty good, and in some cases better than the other LL courses. I think I'll have to make another video on that.
Congratulations! Very few people speak many languages so well. Even more impressive is the fact that you are American! I said American because most Americans regardless of race are either unilingual or bi-lingual at most. And even then they just know few words or really suck at it lol. Great job! I speak 4 languages myself and understand many. I migrated from the SA to the USA.
Amen! all glory goes to God, I am inspired, I am 34yrs old and I have started learning Spanish. I took it in middle and high school but was never able to speak it. But now im very determined to keep going and speak and understand this language. Keep up the good work.. God Bless you in Jesus name

I've been studying Mandarin Chinese and Spanish since November. I'm adding Haitian Creole in April. This Fall I'm getting certified in Teaching English as a Second language and after the New Year I'll be heading overseas, Asia first, to immerse myself in the cultures. My ultimate goal is to become fluent in all three so I can become a hospital interpreter here in the US of A, and volunteer teaching ESL in Haiti with a local non profit here in Pittsburgh that supports job training and educational activities over there. So inspiring to see others learning about other cultures and learning languages. 💪🙌👌
I'm very proud of you! Thanks for not being ashamed of your relationship with the Lord. Please pray for me as I'm learning Spanish to soon do social work in a Latin American country.
That's is great talent! I am learning to speak 8 languages. Spanish, French, Italian, German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Arabic by using Duolingo, Memrise, UA-cam videos and Language Learning Books and Dictionaries
You just gave me goosebumps. Because I never heard black Americans speak other languages. You are gifted and with correct accent, you speak these languages. You are treasure!!!!
Hey man that's really impressive ! Well done buddy ! It's funny to see that you also speak Lingala because my parents are Congolese and I also learned Lingala . impressed with your Italian!! I speak fluent Italian and I think you speak it better than me. I also speak french and I thought it was well spoken.. Thumbs up to you.
Hey man I'm studying african languages at university and can't decide between swahili, Zulu, and arabic. Do you run into very many swahili speakers here in america by any chance?
All the time! I don't know if it's just me, but it seems I'm always running into Kenyans here in Baltimore. The DMV has a lot of Swahili speakers, especially around DC and PG county. Personally, I would opt for either Arabic or Swahili. Arabic is the language that will most readily lead to a job, keep that in mind.
can you please share how you were able to learn how to speak all languages so well. what advice can you give? did you travel to countries where they were the official languages? I'm very happy to see that you are so diverse. you did very well.
I want to be a translator, also improve my Spanish even though I understand it plus I want to learn Malagasy as well. Good work with the languages, it's takes hard work to study them. Your Spanish sounds very Puerto Rican btw. Good luck!!
It depends where you was born And how you was raised I only Speak 2 languages but I understand 2 languages a little Bit but its easier win your younger He looks like he been studying alot I can't even speak that many Languages because I went to English speaking schools but this Guy is really smart he speak some African languages as will That's wassup I think it's all about studying other languages
You must have grown up, in the US, then. His Spanish is ok; good enough for travelling , etc. I was born in Cuba, then the whoe family left in the early seventies, to France, the to the US, in 79. I peak, 3 languages, but could speak, easily, the rest of the romantic tongues, if I apply myself. It's always good to diversify your language skills.
Oh my goodness!!! You are a baaaad man! I love this! 😃 I enjoyed this video so much! Languages have been a hobby of mine for a while. But I love so many, that I find it hard to focus on just one to the point of fluency. I took Spanish in high school and college, so it's the one I'm most familiar with. However, I've been trying to get my French and Italian down pat for what seems like forever! But I love it! What are your tips for trying to learn multiple languages at one time? By the way, subscribing to you now! 😃
Proud of you nevertheless you are gifted from Haitians parents they transmitted you this knowledge through your DNA and rmore than 100 thousand of your compatriots living in Haiti and the diaspora speak fluently more than 4 languages for example in the past 2 famous singers Guy Durosier and Roger Colas Aybobo .
Great! Amazing! I think you could work in foreign service. I want to be a missionary in Mozambique, first and foremost, and also in Brazil. I learned Portuguese pretty well. Now I want to learn Swahili. They speak it in northern Mozambique too. I'm glad you mentioned God. He's a big motivator for me and my life! Blessing to you. I used to live in Virginia.
Aquarian Christianity Word of Advice from an African. Stop pushing Christianity onto Africans, missionaries came with the slavers to ruin our way of and force to submit us to an unknown entity that's never worked in our favour. Please respect our beliefs and our way of life. Learn from history. Your religion is not needed there. Thank you.
Wow. You are very good. I speak French, Portuguese and Linguala and can say that you sounded just right. I still have a few languages I want to learn and you inspired me. I'm just curious about why you have the Angolan flag on your profile :).
Wow I'm surprised with your Lingala. You spoke well and gave a really important advice, To Tika ko sangisa Lokoto wa mboka na ya ba paya (francais). Lokoto ya lingala eza na motuna mingi. Matondo ndeko.
Started with French in high school, but didn't really acquire any foreign language(s) until several years later, when I started studying Spanish on my own. It came naturally, so I decided to go back and relearn French; French lead to Portuguese, Portuguese lead to Italian, and the rest is history. Looking back, I really wish I had studied Chinese or Arabic, but that's another story...Anyway, if you wanna learn a language, there different approaches you can take; self study, academic, or both. I'd recommend both, if possible (study on your own, then take courses). I responded to you other comment as well. Any questions, just ask :D
Wow that's pretty impressive :D I'd like to speak kiswahili and you made me want to learn haitian creole(I'm french so it won't be too hard for the vocabulary, I guess) And, where does your spanish accent comes from? I met a guy from Dominican Republic once, he spoke a bit like you :)
I think this is the 10th time I've watched this ❤️ thanks again...id love to hear more krio speaking and also if you ever are willing to give me feedback on my krio that would be helpful ✌️🏽 thx!!!

I used to live in Virginia.

i would love to learn many languages as well . where did you start ? I have issues finding language classes at my college . . please advise !
Man, that's so amazing. can you tell me the best ways to learn un idioma, como Espanol.
Wow that's pretty impressive :D
