Ricky once again shows why he is a living legend. He knows how to be part of a band, and to make it better without stealing the show. His musical sense is just unerring.
I loved the special that featured Jack White, Jimmy Page, and The Edge. It was so cool to see him recognized as the quitar virtuoso that he is. Those 3 men are just so far above any other quitar players. They are truly guitar savants and Jack was so right to be included in that mix. How many freakin" bands does he have!?!? All 3 men are radically gifted, but i think Jack is the coolest, and sweetest one. He's just phenomenal! Im hoping to meet him at his 3rd Man Records store in Tennesse this year. What a brilliant, musical force he is!

The arrangement is other-worldly, Jack is Jack which means great, Ashley Monroe sings like an angel, and Ricky Skaggs is a legend and a musical genius. The rest of the Raconteurs are also top shelf in my opinion and the best of the best of Jack White's bands/projects. They are simply great. Period.

However, recording to tape is alot harder than patching a song together on the computer. But man, the cohesion and sound that you get is worth it. So that's why people give a crap.

And when Third Man records opened up, the first thing I did was buy a tote bag...couldn't make it to Nashville but thank god for on-line. So we we love our Jack White. I would love to see him but his musical genre has expanded so much that he's pretty much able to do what he wants to do when he wants to and where...and Central FL isn't exactly known for excellent kick butt music.

My mother loved bluegrass and she played Ricky Skaggs all the time when I was a kid. Now that I'm in my thirties I look back and realize I love this music internally!

@@yamahajapan5351 Recording to tape gives music a feel that studio engineers otherwise have to try to get with digital plugin technology that doesn't quite hit the mark. However, recording to tape is alot harder than patching a song together on the computer. But man, the cohesion and sound that you get is worth it. So that's why people give a crap.
This song is absolutely phenomenal! But the one thing that keeps me coming back to it is Ashley Monroe's voice. So sweet and beautiful like a force pulling me into the center of heaven,

Agree. You know Jack White kicks ass all over the world with different kinds of performers. And when Third Man records opened up, the first thing I did was buy a tote bag...couldn't make it to Nashville but thank god for on-line. So we we love our Jack White. Love the Raconteurs love white stripes. I would love to see him but his musical genre has expanded so much that he's pretty much able to do what he wants to do when he wants to and where...and Central FL isn't exactly known for excellent kick butt music.

I think this might have been the first collaboration between Brendan and Ashley...They have done quite a bit of writing and recording together since then...I just love the way their voices mesh together...and I must say that Jack White moving to Nashville has brought us some outstanding music.
Never heard Brandon or Ashley before they are great , always liked Jack but I believe he's a little out of his comfort zone singing that low.

Much lost in the Civil War to mask the collapsed banks of the north east in 1858, and today because there is only so much room at the table. Just enjoy it and go goose creek symphony and sigh.

Jason Puckett dude u ain’t wrong, I went into a guitar center bored af and thought, “I’m a good guitar player, know these chords.”, and tried it on the mandolin. I came home and cuddled in a ball. It sounds simple... but these are hard af plucks...dude’s a legend, so are the other cats. Such a great jam. Love this so much.

I remember seeing Ricky Skaggs live at the roots and blues festival in Pentiction BC. I didn’t want to go but my mum dragged me along and I was pretty young but I loved it.
What fantastic music. All working together beautifully. Jack is such a versatile musician and what a wonderful group of players.
Glad Ricky was there - he practically brought Bluegrass back from the dead single-handed - I'm happy to see him still here in a time when Bluegrass is finally finding some new directions in which to expand and continue. Fine job, Y'all!
