You’re approach to Push has really unlocked the thing for me. Seeing things as shapes has been huge for a guitar player. I wrote all these shapes out on graph paper with the scale degrees and that was really helpful. Finish your Push class and take my money please.
Haha deal! Glad this is helpful to you :)
2024 this video is still providing facts!
I’d kill some more of these Ableton lessons man. Still waiting on that course. Take my money man!

Super inspiring 🙏
I liked that "happy accident" at 4:10 when you briefly hit the minor second before playing the in-key major second.
What tool are you using to see what chords you're playing? The one located on the right of this screen on this video. Incredible work.
Ty for this knowledge Jamie!!!
Of course, thanks for watching!

Happy New Year mate! Doing my obligatory check in. How's things going?
I wish you could have a sustain pedal to work with the force so I can do the same smoother chord changes like you do on the push 2. Great lessons as always. 🧑🏽🦲🙏🏽
Hi Jxmie! Just discovered your videos last night and LOVE them. Can you tell us what the swirly electric piano is that you used in this video?
Thank you! Can’t remember which one exactly, but I know this was a keyscape patch.
When you take the 5th up an octave at 3:45 you also start playing the 9th with the left hand. I got it after some confusion but might be a good thing to call out for beginners like me :)
Good eye! I definitely forgot to call out that change with the left hand :)
Hi, love the educational content, as well as the way you improvise!
I was wondering if you use a sustain pedal in your recordings/improvisations, and whether you would consider it necessary to have when using the push as an instrument. Thanks !
Great question! Yes, I use a sustain pedal and would recommend using one when playing Push :)
DJ dot Biff here to say not alot of people can teach the push like you can. there is maybe one other person. I know you get payed to teach. But can you make more Free videos like once a month tips about how to play in chromatic mode, finger exercises thighs like that. Until you drop your paid classes on chromatic mode. I'm still waiting on that class. You the shit keep it up.
These chords are dope dear Jamie! Please tell us what plugin/vst are you using to achieve this adorable bright pad? And that shimmer!? Just what it needs. I personally use RC-20 retro color from pluginboutique to get drop outs and pitch flutter. But what you have here is so clean.
how do you know which out of key notes to play?
Which piano vst are you using here?
thanks for the nice video😂
i am studying chode now
Can you also share the analysis software on the right side of the screen?
Sorry
if I signed up for your newsletter can I find out?
ur playing push lesson do have a plan of English subtitles ?
Make a Patreon!!!!!! Plz. You deserve to get paid for your uploads alone 👍🏾
Amazing video!! I'm going to buy a launchpad because of this haha what's the software you use to see the keyboard on the screen?
I did the same thing! Be careful if you're getting the LP X because there isn't an easy way to use it with a. sustain pedal unless you have another midi device that can receive the pedal!
@@yeshuamusic5102 thanks for telling me! I have a MIDI keyboard that have have sustain pedal, is It possible to use the sustain pedal on the keyboard to control the sustain on the LP X? Thanks!
@@1314Ruben Got my sustain pedal today and I've hooked it up to my AKAI MPK Mini and it works perfectly with the LP X. Happy jamming! 🙏
@@yeshuamusic5102 ohhh that's great!! Thank you very much Yeshua!!
@@1314Ruben Not sure if you made the purchase but if you did and are using Ableton. Get yourself some free midi chord packs, load them into the session clip, hit play and the LPX will light up the chords. I've found this is a great way of learning the shapes without having to translate from keys to the pads!
so is this course happening or not? it's been a year without any upload ...
Coming in June!
Hey budddddy. How… you going with that course on using the push as an instrument?
Going well! I recently moved and am getting my new workspace situated before I can shoot everything 🙏🏻
@@jxmieblake I keep telling myself "Any day now... I'll be on the path to a Push-piano-master..." but of course, no rush and I want you to take your time with it and also get your life sorted out before helping us peasants out. Congrats on the new studio workspace and the move, I hope you do a 'studio-tour' video showing us your new space and setup!
@@jxmieblake i’m waiting on the course too man hahaha
I'm curious why you suggest playing in chormatic mode considering that you're only using notes within the scale. Is there a reason it's better to use the chormatic mode over scale mode? I would think with scale mode you'd get access to a higher/ lower range of notes?
Great question! Check out the video I posted before this one - all about this exact topic :)
