- This test may seem ridiculous at first glance, but modern performance boats have gotten so good that they are actually becoming efficient. On a recent trip to Lake Havasu , me and the boys (@vin_tra & @max4cracks ) decided to do some science and measure the efficiency of a DCB M37R w/2 Mercury Racing 500R's, compared to my 572ci big block powered 1978 K5 GMC Jimmy. The result was actually shocking. Also Im pretty sure we all need fast boats now...god help our bank accounts.

Man dare I say that seeing you all go and do your own thing apart from Hoonigan, although sad, has been refreshing. Definitely a reminder that it's not always about the corporate ladder. Doing sick shit with your boys will always trump it.

Have you looked at the comments under their videos lately? They come off as patterned, as if they were AI generated. Perhaps I am biased but, I honestly tried to watch the content and immediately went to the comment section expecting to not be alone in my observations. I was very surprised to not see a single criticism (although I bet my comment has been removed). I have given up watching over there now, its like cardboard cutouts...the WISH version.
Safe to say, this summer we will have a speed boat.

572ci big block efficiency be like - 70% of the fuel is converted to heat and driveline loss, 25% is converted to noise and 5% of energy is used to drive the wheels. 4mpg is equivalent of Soviet era russian agriculture truck hauling 20 ton load in the back

It's a marvel of hydrodynamics and engine design, but it doesn't quite have the drama of two big blocks, or even better two meteor tank engines! Can't beat a 27l V12....

In New Zealand it’s $1.62 (USD) a litre so you spent $478.75 (USD), worth it.

Depends on the boat and use but my ski boat with just a stock 350, wakeboarding and kneeboarding so fairly low speed and rpm uses hardly any fuel at all, but anything wide open and heavy is going to drink
