Good job Troy . Very thorough video and laid out in a way that even the lamen can understand. I also appreciate you telling your viewers how many times you install something, until it's right only to pull out to get it painted , powder coated etc. so you can assemble and install for the last time hopefully. That is going to be a bad ass charger when you're done. Please do a video of you driving it when its finished

If only everyone was as considerate as you, life would go smoother. Most service and instructional technicians these days expect everyone they come in contact with - to have a product or issue that the customer is inquiring about - born with it out of their butts. Not everyone has all the answers and that's why UA-cam has been an awesome platform for to help others. So many companies and their service people suck, and are bothered by even you calling them - and it's usually regarding a very expensive product. I guess these impatient types of ingrate service people don't need the money. I was trying to pry some information out some pinhead about a product a few weeks ago and I guess I was bothering the poor guy cuz he was eating his sandwich, then he went ballistic when he had to look something up on the PC. Thanks Troy for your patience and detail to instructions. Your service is a rare commodity these days.

Loving your videos. You make a lot of sense, and will be referencing these vids when my unit comes in.

@@troykane Ive got the unit and 727 transmission is out. Car is on jack stands on all 4. What do you think the best approach would be, being I don’t have a lift to measure the driveshaft length? (71 challenger with leaf springs)

@@1997LT1Camaro install engine, trans, gearvendor. Set the stands under the suspension. Stettle the car down on the suspension. Install the gearvendor yoke. Measure from the yoke to the rearend yoke. Watch the video for the measuring process and you should be all set.
      good luck, Troy

@@troykane Thanks. I measured from yoke end to grease mark when fully inserted. Then split the difference. Then I measured middle eye to middle eye on rear end to yoke.
I think this is what you did minus loading the suspension and unloading. My jack stands were supporting from rear end itself to leave weight on suspension.

Thank you sir for the informative video! When I get the money for my GearVendors overdrive, I plan on doing it myself! I'm in N.C. if you were within 50 miles of Henderson I would love to come see your worm and talk with you! I will be working on a '74 Camaro.

Thank you for the information. I am hoping i can measure my yoke placement on my transfer case before i install my gv unit, and set it up on the gv unit the same way. Its going on a truck, and ill be doing this on the ground.

Hi Tony, I like your page, is great. my question is : How will it go a" Gear Vendor on a 1986 Bronco with a C6.. They have a "short" transmission to suet the short wheel base Bronco. I have no problem up end speed, just a little weak first LONG gear, and of course only tre ...too long gears. Your input is very appreciate. I tray to stay away from changing diffs ratio of course. I think I have 4 .7/8.. to 1, or closer, with 31x 10.50 R 15 LT wheels ... Engine healthy 351 Cleveland ...Thank you in advance.

I would suggest you contact the folks at Gearvendor for this application. If they have a system I can assure you it will be of great benifit to the vehicles driveability. Thanks for the comment and thanks for tuning in. Good Luck

It would be easier to visualize if they had all the yolks painted yellow, I tried shortening the drive shaft, and even with all the kings horses, and all the kings men, we it ended up frying the overdrive. After all the yolks were broken.
