- Today we’re going to walkthrough how to measure and install a custom-length driveshaft kit.
For Speedway Motors driveshafts you need to measure from the flat of the yoke to the seal surface on the back of the transmission. This is because our driveshaft kits ship with the yoke already assembled on them.

I bought my driveshaft for you guys in 2020 and it fit perfectly. No issue during the last Drag Racing Season.
Great to hear!
My aluminum drive shaft has been beat on from the start it has been great it is bullet proff !!
With so much weight still to be added to that build wont the ride height be different?
I need the same exact driveshaft
Are they new factory ends on drive shafts or are they used ?
I'm restoring a 1970 Chevy c/10 short bed and I'm going away from the 2 piece drive shaft to a one piece. The rearend is the original 12 bolt with the 373 gears mounting up to a turbo 350 and it has been lowered to a 4.5 front x 6 rear inch drop. Do you have a drive shaft already set up for this type of drop or will I need to measure for a custom drive shaft for my application ?
Hello. You would need to measure the length you would need and then you can make a driveshaft using part number 910383 www.speedwaymotors.com/Universal-Steel-Custom-Length-Driveshaft-Kits-3-Inch-OD,332572.html
Is it better to get a 2 piece drive shaft like the original or go with a 1 piece? My project truck is not stock anymore.
Have a 4l80. Should i use grease on tue slip yoke?
May-sure
Hey I enjoy your videos. I have a question. I'm building a custom car with a chrysler 300 drive train V6 and automatic transmission. My design includes moving the drive train rearward to allow a 22" yes " 22 inch" custom driveshaft allowing me to only make changes to fluids and linkage connections and retaining the rear end. Is my dream too far out there?
Get a better ratchet. Lol
