Honestly, Hayley's personality does not surprise me. People generally tend to behave in a similar manner to their parents. For example, if one parent has a short temper and is disconnected from their emotions, then the child may also develop a short temper and struggle with their emotions. If the other parent tends to struggle with understanding tone, the child may also struggle with tone. Hayley Smith is honestly no different, and I also think that she is secretly in denial of this idea. She does believe in some ideas such as being pro-choice, but Hayley likes to imagine herself as forward-thinking to avoid criticism from those around her. The problem is that her facade is paper thin.

I was raised by my grandmother and before I was mentally ready to use a tampon (she wasnt pushy), she would always tell me to put one in for swimming because she didn't want me not to have fun because I was on the rag. I appreciate that even though I personally won't wear them for swimming. not because I am uncomfortable with it, but because I have a chronic conditions and tampons flaare it up.

I like that the later seasons started focusing more on her trying to better herself then be this brat who refuses to grow up.

The most messed up anti tampon attitude I heard was what my friend's mother told her and her sister: tampons suck your eggs out of you. (Which is 100% false, in case anyone needed to hear that). It was one of the bigger fights we had since I couldn't convince her that that wasn't the case. Neither of us used tampons or had a period at that point, so it was just very silly.

Hayley is not nothing like her father. In fact, I think her father is someone else. In my opinion, Hayley is the worst who only rebels against her father out of spite like many college students of the 1960s. Plus that war on family and the father started around that time period. People like Hayley exist too much in colleges, because the schools pander to young women like her. Hayley on the other hand does not know the value of hard work. Too many tv shows have this formula of the dumb dad trope, while the liberal woman and daughter are smarter than he is. That sexist trope in comedy that few people notice and call out because liberal women don't care about it.

Even if she thinks differently than her father, she behaves rather similarly to him in every way, except he's usually nice to Francine, while the writers often used her relationship with Jeff to make jokes about spousal abuse and emotional codependency. Stan often finds himself learning lessons, while Hayley hasn't really learned anything or evolved since episode 1.

And since Ma took the family out when she was assured I left for my dad. My dad who tried to bring me back home had to keep me the whole weekend! Re that weird tampon virginity thing: There are/have been cultures which equated virginity with an intact hymen, which I think is the link there? Yes that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, which was realized at least as early as the 13th century (Marco Polo's "Travels" mentions both the equating and why it doesn't make sense), and probably earlier. As I am not capable of having periods, I'm not sure on this, but I feel like if inserting a tampon tears your hymen, you are doing something wrong.
23:00: They're chicken tenders at fancy resteraunts. :P

Hehe aside from taxes being a nice way to save,.. if you have a credit card and assuming it is ot prphibit you from doing such a thing pay more than you charged on it.. so that it...allows you to [in theory... if one wanted intentionally.. "overpay"/more than you owe on it., you can have what is called a NEGATIVE balance.. where technically they owe YOU money... and charge them interest on it.. as it is loan for them vs fwiw a person using the card as a temporary loan for/themselves...

My dad flew off the handle about my mom trying to teach me to use tampons as a 14 year old. He said only hoes (he used the W one I just don't know what's okay to say anymore on YT) use tampons. He also didn't let my mom use them but she only had like 3 periods her whole life so she didn't really think about it till they would argue about it once I had my period. Yeah it's extremely weird and made me feel uncomfortable.

The tampons making period cramps worse is definitely not a myth to me…
I’m allergic to most pads and I switched to tampons for a year and I can tell you that my cramps got worse(wersserrrrrr!!!) during that year…. I’ve finally found a pad I don’t get hives from and my cramps are not as intense…

@KittyMonk Hayley argues with her dad because she very democratic there for Stan would disagree and dismiss her at any point because he doesn’t want any one who would be considered woke ie tax ing a lot pushing transgender ideas and other lgbtq ideas and also is the belief that the devils lettuce is really bad even though it’s been proven to help people out a lot that’s basically what Hayley is in nutshell. As for Stan is basically like my bastard step dad of being very right wing thinking that don trump and Ronald Reagan are the gods of the right wing community that basically Stan in a nutshell and that’s why I politely give both sides the middle finger because at the end of the day both Stan and Hayley are literally cut from the same cloth but on completely opposite sides of the political spectrum

@@availanilayou are really rolling the dice on that. If you are not old or a baby food poisoning of any kind really just depends on a lot of factors. Are you already sick, do you eat a lot of food of the floor, do you eat a lot of processed foods, how high is the bacteria content in the food. You never really know. You can rat raw cookie dough all your life and never get sick but you siblings eats off that same tin and they end up dead. That is why those kinds of scares are important to take seriously.
I just watched a video on the Peter Pan Peanut butter recall that had many people scared for years.
