I absolutely love Jenny. I made my first quilt in 2018 for my grandson and I learned how to do it from Jenny and I have to say she looks like my grandma who passed in 1970. Love you Jenny and your beautiful family.
I love, love, love Jenny!! I was touched by how I am one of the many souls that her beautiful journey has helped; From her being the gateway drug to my quilting journey, lol, to experiencing the peace and healing that quilting provides, I can testify that all Jenny said about the positive impact of Missouri Star Quilt Company are true. I know the Lord works in quiet, simple ways to make big things happen. Thank you, Doan Family, for being such a terrific example of what faith, love, and hard work can do for you, others, and the sharing of the Gospel.❤
10 or so years ago, I went to a quilt show in our little town on a whim and I was mesmerized by the patterns and colors. I have been sewing clothing since I was about 4 when my Grandmother taught me how to make teeny-tiny buttonholes on Barbie clothes. I had made my own clothes for years, then my bridesmaids dresses for my wedding, then my husband and kids. Quilting was an undiscovered territory. I then found Jenny on line and have been following her for years now. I love everything about the story of MSQC, her family and the blessing she has given to others thru the tutorials and the business. Quilting started as a hobby and today is a daily routine and I love it!! Lisa Parsons
I have been watching Jenny for about seven years. She gave me the confidence to try. I was in a bad marriage and am now divorced. Quilting got me through the tough times and continues to give me such happiness. Thank you so much Jenny. God bless you and your family. ❤️❤️❤️
I’m a retiree who fell in love with quilting 8 years ago. Jenny was and is my teacher. She’s my go to lady for questions. A truly wonderful friend whom I never have met. God Bless
I'm too a women of faith. I wanted to learn to sew for many years. We moved from NYC to Pennsylvania, where I took one quilting class. My blessing came when I saw Jenny's video, then my life changed. Jenny is a visual person just like me. She makes everything so easy to understand. I have an autoimmune condition and can't be going to many places. I have been able to open our house to teach young girls not only sewing, but to knitting and crochet. Both my daughters have made a quilts. Thank you, Jenny for your friendship and for being an excellent example of womanhood. I love your joy and how you are giving back to so many. I love to create, and bless others as well. Thank you for sharing.
Oh I have loved Jenny for years !! She has taught me everything I know about quilting and I enjoy rewatching all her videos over and over and have for years. Any day I feel down I can sit and watch Jenny for just a tutorial and my spirits are lifted and I never can just watch one tutorial it has to be several or at least half a days worth ! She has the best personality ever I wish she could be my best friend in life !! She's that kind!❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏♥️🙏♥️🙏♥️
Jenny, you made quilting avaliable to everyone. You made it easy to make a beautiful quilt without cutting all those little daunting pieces. You taught us that finished is better than perfect and that we could do it. You taught us that we can do this. Thank you. Ronda
Very powerful interview. I believe it is relevant to all women and men of faith no matter the religious organization they are members of. Jenny is such an inspiration. I love her quilt tutorials with her daughters along her side. She is so upbeat and her humor is absolutely the best. ❤❤😊😊
I love Jenny. .I began watching her on UA-cam during the pandemic, I wanted something to keep me busy. I have been so inspired by Jenny and her family. She will never know how many lives she has touched. I never miss a Friday or Monday with Jenny and Misty
Thank you Jenny, I learned to quilt through your tutorials, and how to bound, yes, the joy of sewing has changed my life ,I've needed this interview to remind me how fortunate i am, I just need more faith to trust in the lord.
I love Jenny and her message during this interview brought me to tears a few times. I have made quilts for over 40 years, completely self-taught. Watching MSQC videos changed my tecniques and simplfied the process so much. I have made hundreds of quilts and given the majority of them away. I feel quilting has enriched my life and now, in my dotage, it gives me a purpose. Hearing this story of how the Doan's changed a village by reaching out to the world through the computer was wonderful. Thanks fo this interview.
I never tire of hearing the Doans story. You are so inspirational to your community. We are blessed to be able to travel to Hamilton at least once a year will never forget the moment I first heard of this town and all the shops. Several have been added throughout the years.
So true, you have touched many lives. I started quitting about the same time and found you on UA-cam. I’ve learned so much from you and your family. Thank you for giving so much of yourself and bringing the love of quilting to so many across the globe. Love you Jenny.
What a beautiful testimony. You have inspired so many of us. Most of all you send the message that we can all manage to quilt. God bless you and your family.
Oh so well said! They’re all just lovely genuine people. Jenny’s laugh is like music. Here’s a family who has beaten the odds, become hugely successful and are still “real” people.
I have been watching Jenny for years. I watch all her tutorials, Triple Play with Natalie, Misty & Jenny but I had never heard how she started quilting or her families story other than a brief mention here or there. Thanks so much❣️
What a heartfelt interview. Thank you Jenny for you and your family business. You are so wonderful to watch and I look forward to each old and new video that you and your family share with us. May God bless you always
What a wonderful interview! I love Jenny and her family. Jenny got me back into quilting and I love every minute of it. Hamilton is definitely on my bucket list!! Can’t wait to meet her in person
I love this story! Such an enthusiastic love for her creative passion. I have also been a costume mistress, set builder, painter etc. Now that I’m retired, I am enjoying quilting and often watch her videos and certainly shop Daily Deals and other wonderful fabric and sewing supplies online! We who create have a unique God given drive and desire to make things. May God richly bless you and your family.

Well done! Kathlenn I taught myself to quilt. I tried starting a group only to be told we are too old for that. They were in there 50s. Keep on sewing.
Hello from Oregon. Jenny taught me how to quilt. I put on her videos on as a background noise or when I’m working at my desk. Her voice and encouraging words and stories calm my mind and feed my soul. Thank you Jenny and family for being online. You have made a difference in my life.
We stopped in Hamilton on our way do a Church history trip. It was fun. My husband enjoyed the man cave. Several of the Young adult tellers asked where I was from. When I said Idaho, some responded they were going to BYUI.
Love Jenny Doan, her family and MSQC. About 8 years ago I was interested in quilting, took a class locally. But then I found Jenny on UA-cam and learned so much more from her than any teacher. a And I have more fun sewing with her and her family and friends
Watching this again. Loved this interview!!! What a beautiful perspective. Jenny… you have given people the courage and confidence to believe they can do it. I would have never believed I could have inspired my daughter. She is now far away. She came home & together we put together a baby quilt for unborn grandson. She did all the sewing, which was different from past projects. I sent the machine back with her & thought I would coach her from afar. But she shows me what she is doing on her own. She has a circle of friends who are interested. Thank you Jenny!
I know you now for a few years (since 2,010) and I love everything you do THANK YOU ,THANK YOU ,! God bless you for the happiness you give to so many peoples ♥️🙏

Truly amazing. I would love to meet Jenny and tell her that in2020 I got my first sewing machine ever at the age of 50, and the first thing I ever made In my life was a patchwork quilted bag that SHE taught me to make I just turned on the video and literally did what she did . I have been in love with bag making ever since. Thank you JennyDoan!

I am a bit newer to the online quilting group(s), but I just love that God's love, compassion, and grace flows through her hands into the very fabric of other's lives
Jenny illustrates how-to do many blocks we otherwise would not see and makes it easy to sew them. Wonderful person & family to have such a great quilting store and all you do for quilters.
I absolutely loved watching this interview and have supported MSQC for a few years now. It was so inspiring. Thank you, Jenny, for trusting the Lord to guide you on your quilting business journey! Many have been blessed! Proverbs 3:5,6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” ❣️❣️❣️
Hamilton Missouri was once known as the birthplace of JC Penney. Now there is another dynasty known as Missouri Star Quilt Company. The Doan family has quickly become as popular as the JC Penney stores. JC Penney is where I bought my first fabric. Now it is MSQC. Amazing they were both born in the small Midwestern town of Hamilton Missouri. So proud to be a Missouri girl.
I started watching you during COVID and everyone in their homes not having anything to do. I worked as a CNA ( Certified Nurses Aide)and came home I swore never to make a quilt, I am know up to 11 quilts. I am addicted and can't stop.
When my daughter and I went over to Missouri Star, in 2014, Jenny had been sent home, I was disappointed... fast track to 2019, I was stewarding at the Festival of Quilts, and Jenny was one of the guests, she really is fantastic, and I was wearing my MSQC apron, and Jenny said to me, if she'd known I was stewarding she would have asked me if she could borrow my apron....
Jenny thank you for all you do. Your quitting utub channel has been a blessing in so many ways. During covid I made quilts for children in hospitals and seniors in nursing homes and masks for anyone that wanted them. Quilting is my hobby and a way to help others in need. Now I keep plenty of fabrics ready for any occasion. My husband has his own quilt. Today I am binding a Kaffee Fassett quilt for me 👍
Jenny thank you for sharing your story. I just found you about 5 months ago and man do I love shopping with you! Can't wait for your new book to come out!
Love Jenny! Just happened on this podcast. Awesome! You should interview my daughter, Corrine Beaumont at KnowYourLemons foundation. She has a breast cancer awareness non-profit and lives in Utah. It is October!
Oh and another thing the founder of JC Penny was born in Hamilton. Years ago we drove through there and my father showed us the farm that JC Penny owned! It was quite a home. I have family in Macon Mo.
I absolutely love Jenny. I made my first quilt in 2018 for my grandson and I learned how to do it from Jenny and I have to say she looks like my grandma who passed in 1970. Love you Jenny and your beautiful family.

Today I am binding a Kaffee Fassett quilt for me 👍
Great video!! ❤️❤️
Thank you so very much for you Jenny ❤️ I have just started and I have learned so much from YOU ❤

Love Jenny! Just happened on this podcast. Awesome! You should interview my daughter, Corrine Beaumont at KnowYourLemons foundation. She has a breast cancer awareness non-profit and lives in Utah. It is October!
Thank the Lord that you posted and I found this today
I have goose bumps listening to Jennie
Congratulations
Super exciting news for you and your family.
Oh and another thing the founder of JC Penny was born in Hamilton. Years ago we drove through there and my father showed us the farm that JC Penny owned! It was quite a home. I have family in Macon Mo.
Thank youuuuu❤
