    Awesomeness! 🇺🇸
Unfortunately the modern generation won’t get to watch the “Duke”
They won’t be watching TV where the only movie is a Western, no John Wayne, no Clint 😢
Us old timers will reminisce 🤠
I do like your food clips, as a Brit I just love watching your American food types, remember you take it for granted what you eat, biscuits & gravy for breakfast…..what the heck 😂
Don’t get me started on how you guys do your bacon 🫣🥓
Maybe do a food episode after you finish this amazing journey 🫡🇺🇸
Looking forward to the next episode

The Old West is one of my favorite time periods in our country's history. Lived in Montana for a couple years. My then-15 yr old cowgirl daughter worked on a horse ranch and actually went on a cattle drive. Amazing experiences and memories. So glad your wife and daughter are there with you to experience this part of your trip and make some precious family memories. Awesome video, as always. Your passion for our history is contagious and very much appreciated.

I'm so enjoying these videos 😊 My husband and I bought an RV this year. He's originally from Texas and has always promised to take me there. We're from Indiana, and will be following Route 66 to New Mexico (coming back via Roswell and Carlsbad, my bucket list) into southern Texas. I have made plenty of notes as where we're to stop 😀 Many thanks! ❤

As someone who grew up in Colorado, seeing the daughter nonchalantly chow down on a Rocky Mountain Oyster my thought was, “Wow! That was bold. Good for her.” Then the realization and her reaction was priceless.
In addition, I admire the fact that J.D. grabbed a handful of pocket bacon for the road.
Great video. Now I need to visit Oklahoma City just for that museum.

The 72 oz. Challenge also has non-official winners. Both did it in 90 seconds or less. They are non-official because one was a 600 pound Siberian tiger and the other was a lion. The lion is the current champion at 80 seconds. I love that the restaurant tracks this, even if they are non-official.

I'm definitely a man of the Golden West! The family is from western Nebraska, on the Oregon Trail, and currently in Oregon. I lived California decades ago, western Montana, and Arizona...on Rt. 66 (what a coincidence! LOL!). You are absolutely correct, the West truly IS a huge work of art, just as beautiful as all those old cars! Sure wish you could spend all day in all those cool museums; you make a great tour guide! The Remington sculptures were fantastic!
That breakfast sure looked tasty, I cooked lots of similar meals on the road, but mostly to order, not buffet. You have now covered the big food icons on Rt. 66... biscuits and gravy, known as "B&G" to us insiders! The Big Texan is a requirement, and the chicken fried steak is another Rt. 66 staple, good for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Dang, now I have a craving for a cholesterol bomb! LOL!

From the first sit in that spurred the Civil Rights Movement to the Oklahoma City bombing. I appreciate how you show the honesty in your videos. From the Mexican Vaqueros to hunting in the US. It is true that hunters, trappers and fishermen support and take care of the conservation of our American wildlife.

JD, one of the very best sandwiches to eat on the while you are flying down the highway is bacon and scrambled eggs, Fix it before you leave the house or hotel (from that 'free' breakfast and wrap it in tin foil. Then, after about 3 to4 hours or so when the sandwich has cooled off and the flavors are all good and mixed together, open that baby up and enjoy the feast. Ain't nothin better anywhere!!... And, If I were you, I would be on the look out for some payback over the Rocky Mountain Oysters...HaHa. Loving this video like all that have come before it! Thank you! Hope you all continue to have a great trip!

Loved this video ! Glad stopped by there, I visited it with My Dad about 20 years ago, outstanding museum ! Love the way you create your videos. and music tracks fit perfectly. Happy to hear you plan to go back and do one sometime on the Quanah Parker house. I did a couple back when the owner was still living, however, that was back when the best recording at the time was VHS tape. Although the house was moved to its current location (in defunct Eagle Park in Cache, OK) it is still a national treasure but in great state of decay. Also in the same park there are other historically significant buildings the owner had moved there in attempt to save them for future generations. I could tell you some stories about that place, very similar to one of your recent Rt 66 stops, sadly all of them are heading in the same direction of decay. Keep up the great work. I have a friend at church who is a history teacher and we both share the interest in your channel.

Back when I was in college and driving a semi for a moving company, we stopped at the Big Texan and my coworker decided to go for the steak challenge. You have to pay for it up front and they give you your money back, along with a certificate if you make it in time. He had nothing on the baked potato, no dressing on the salad and no butter on the roll. He made it in about 55 minutes. The thing is, an hour before we got there I watched him polish off a box of Ritz crackers and a half a jar of peanut butter 😅 I got to listen to him complain about his stomach for the next two days on our way to California 🤢😆

That museum looks awesome. Would definitely like to check that out. Fun fact for when you were talking about rodeo, my little town I lived in for a bit, Deer Trail, CO, is the home of the worlds first rodeo. Pecos TX claims it from what I’ve read, but we have them beat by about 14 years. The first was held July 4, 1869.
And we were going to go to the Big Texan for dinner a couple weeks ago and didn’t make it unfortunately! Next time.

So long to your daughter trusting you for awhile. That was funny as heck, as was the salad repulsion. 😂

Nice old man buffet move at 5:45. It wasn't just settlers who decimated the buffalo population. The Indians did their fair share too according to Patriot's History of the United States.

Don't wait for your kids to grow up. Do it now and make those memories with the kids. We bought a rv almost 4 years ago and as a family. Best thing we ever could have spent money on.
I didn't get that experience as a kid and am glad I can have those memories now with my daughter.

When I graduated from high school in '78 my folks had a new pickup and 5th wheel setting in the driveway ready to go and a long term lease on the house. They left a week later and full time RVed for 22 yrs. They drove to all 49 states, Canada, and Mexico and never regretted a minute of it! Only cancer and old age could stop them! Miss you mom and dad!

Just curious, why were you in such a hurry to get through all your stops? I was enjoying the western museum and then you went outside but couldn't show any of the western dwellings because you said you didn't have time. I was just curious as to why? LOVE all your videos!

@@itsmedanah - I had obligations back home so I had to really rush myself. Plus, everything closes so early that in order to see as much as I could, I had to cut some things short.

Loved that especially when you tricked your daughter with the oysters! Poor kid and on film. 😂
Mind you, JD, I do wonder with lack of fiber in you diet how on earth do you keep “regular”?! 🧐 🇬🇧
