    Why did you skip the part for installing the brackets for the lcd connections. Saying we got the bracket preinstalled, right after showing the same part not installed.

      Hi, I wanna do this too. I read that changing the screen will lead to a “shadow”-like stain at the top that can only be removes through soldering. Did you encounter this issue at all?

      @@peaceofpaper1 Hi! Apple fixed this "problem" (which they probably implemented in the first place) with an macOS Update, I think it was 15.2. So this should not be a problem anymore.

    lid angle sensor screw is not T3... i am "screwed" now! Where can I buy a replacement?

  • @KielUyttenhove
    @KielUyttenhove 4 місяці тому

    You call it a proximity sensor, I have seen it called the lid angle sensor. Does this need to be calibrated after the repair? After replacement and closing my lid, the display does not turn off.

    Some MacBooks have problems sleeping when the lid is closed after display assembly replacement. Is that also the case with these M1 / M2 MacBooks?

    • @Kennyy212
      @Kennyy212 5 місяців тому +1

      Yes, if the display won't sleep you'll either have to reprogram the lid angle sensor or adjust the magnet. There are videos about it

    hi, I hears a rumor that replacing the screen will lead to a permanent “shadow” at the top of the screen that can only be removed through soldering. Is this true?

    • @dawaxili
      @dawaxili Місяць тому

      No….

    • @tekdep
      @tekdep  16 днів тому

      That is definitely not true, no soldering needed at all and no shadow on this model, at least the displays we sale on our site need none of that and its plug and play, but yes you lose the True Tone that is not really noticeable anyway, If anyone needs replacement parts such as screen and batteries or tools for your MacBook repairs, we have them all and ship worldwide! visit: tekdep.com

      If the camera is replaced, which it will be with a replacement display assembly, truetone will be lost.

      Check your battery controller board flex cable to logic board, the tiny cable possibly is not communicating correctly

      @@tekdep We are discussing exactly this fault on badcaps forum. Which brand led you to this fault? So far, techs are reporting the fault with Seven Puppy and with XJS. At this time, we do not know if either are to be blamed. Check the 'cowling plate' mentioned for the BMU vbat enable / disable in the schematics. Still researching this bug that now 3+ techs have faced.
