Our little town just had our annual corn fest here in Oregon. Parade, weeklong events with games barbeques and live music and corn. Your videos are so minty, I am always glad to see the notification when they come out.

That parade in G’dale with dirty Kuntz Worthington with Slave Lake up on the deck was the single most Merican that I have ever seen take place in Frostbackistan, I Guar-An-Dam-Tee-Ya.
The town I grew up in has lost its identity and looks pretty dam alien to me anymore glad to hear there are some small towns that still act like nice places to live and call your hometown still because mine died when they urban renewed it again

I used to rebuild those aux boxes. It's a Spicer unit AMO1750 (mech shift) or APO1750 (air shift).
I see the model 1241...what I sent him which was referenced with his spicer case number was AMO/APO 1000-4...hope this was right

Every time you revive an old diesel makes me want to revive my 93 dually crew cab f350. My buddy sold it to me for 150 bucks because the cylinder heads got f’d by a previous owner leaning it out hard and overheating it. That 7.3 would’ve been singing by now if people didn’t want more than the price of the truck for cylinder heads
Unfortunately one of the bad things of owning an IDI..most of the parts you find for sale are owned by nasty, greedy old farts who think their pile of crap is a gold mine..been trying to find a ZF5 for mine and everytime one comes up for sale, it's from some old fart fuck who wants a stupid ass high price for it..

Slave lake reminds me of my dad's 69 k20. Was in a bad wreck became a dedicated plow truck for years. Had a plow booger welded to it. Floors are gone, bed fell off when we took the cap off, no PS or PB tires are chained. She's a loyal rig!

That parade reflection reminds of the reasons we live where we do: on the other side of a mountain range from the 20K person metropolis of Elko. We're on a ranch at 6k feet that's one of about twelve connected by graded road that was the fatal detour for the Donner party. There's but one store on this road and it's really more of a bar; it sees pretty much everyone and pretty much everyone knows each other; there was even a newspaper 1863-1983. Each breath of air comes sweet, pulled out of the stratosphere by the granite range towering another 5K feet above us; sometimes I forget I'm not in Switzerland!
Everybody waves at each other walking or driving, and there's no crime--we EDC because of the coyotes. Most traffic is farm equipment or trucks hauling equipment, cattle or hay, but there's also dirty old farm trucks and puddle jumpers w/o license plates. The night sky is unparalleled and the water is plentiful; big hot springs a couple miles away.
