- Aa match of Splatoon inspired a lengthy thought process about Zelda characters- which eventually became this video.
Hypothetically if the Champions from Breath of the Wild and the Sages from Tears of the Kingdom were in Splatoon, what weapon kits would best suit them? Let's take a look one by one!

Came here straight from your TotK retrospective... thanks for plugging yourself. As someone who mains Wiper classic and Tri-stringer classic in 3 and also Mipha and Revali in AoC, I could feel how right the picks were as soon as you made them. If there's one thing that AoC gets right, it's how the gameplay really makes you feel like the character you're using, and for me the real story would come from sending two characters I liked on a mission together and the dialogue would flow naturally out of my head as the battle continued -- the final Astor fight stuck with me because it was the culmination of fighting as Revali and Link and "watching" them grow, not because of anything the cutscenes did. But yeah, both combat systems have so much personality and I like all of your takes! I really appreciate crossover content that highlights and enhances the parallels of both media. Now I wonder what the rest of the warriors would use...
This video is actually a hidden gem! Lately, I've been really into these two games, but I never thought someone would make a video on both of them. The editing is also quite nice and your points on what weapon each character would use are really good!

As one of the people who played with you against the champions i really enjoyed the concept of this video. And while I orginal thought the Aerospray MG's reefslider fit with Urbosoa's Fury, the RG definitely fits better with the gold coloring.

Couldn’t think of a solid answer for Mineru tbh, I figured something with inkjet as special made some sense, but apart from that I couldn’t land on a firm answer so I left her out of the video

You forgot Zelda and minieru
I thought I’d share my opinions on the weapon choices I don’t agree with:
Personally I think mipha would play a support weapon, and splatana is more of a frontline/midline weapon, which doesn’t suit her overall
I’d give her the squiffer, it has big bubbler which is a protective shield, similar to how mipha protects from death, and it has point sensor which helps locate enemies
Plus squiffer isn’t very aggressive like mipha isn’t either
I also think Revali wouldn’t choose tri-stringer, while it does look/act similar to the great eagle bow its quite weak compared to other weapons, and if theres one thing revali doesn’t like its to be weak.
Honestly I’d give him the N-Zap ‘85, it looks cool, is pretty strong but not seen as a “noob weapon”(aerospray is an example of a noob weapon that is technically good).
Also he’d definitely put the tacticooler somewhere where only he’d use it.
For Urbosa I’d give her the E-Liter 4k, its a heavy-weight weapon which has long range, just like how she’s able to use lightning at a long range. Plus the E-Liter 4k one-shots things just like how the lightning does.
And she’d probably be one of the only ones(aside from daruk) who could actually hold such a weapon.
It’d be better if it had its s2 kit with ink storm but the s3 kit works fine, because wave breaker like how urbosa breaks opponents bones-
And for tulin I’d give him snipewriter, as you said tulin fires more fast headshots, which the goo tuber doesn’t really do, compared to snipewriter which can shoot many shots fast.
On top of this tacticooler matches tulins energetic nature.
Also tulin definitely squidbags people after killing them.
For yunobo I’d give him the splatana stamper, it seems a bit lighter than dynamo but is still considered a heavy-weight item, and resembles the boulder breaker a lot.
Burst bomb idk but zipcaster is fast moving like how yunobo can roll up into a ball and move around fast.
For riju I’d give her the dark tetra dualies, they are dualies because she duel wields, but they have 4 rolls instead of two because she’s really fast running at like 100/kph in a different direction when I actually need her ability, and autobomb because she can’t aim(which is why she needs link’s help), and reefslider because its area of affect is similar to that of the lightning strike range, plus both take a short bit where she’s very vulnerable when charging up(just like reefslider).
Ganondorf would just embrace the chaos and use every weapon with no set main, just like how he switches weapon mid battle in totk.
