That car watch gimmick is really egregious. They couldn't be more out of touch with their fanbase if they tried really hard. At least it's a timed exclusivity kind of deal for a car that I bet few people will choose unless forced to.
It's obviously a commercial deal to keep income flowing into Sony and PD for a title that's now heading into it's third year. Deals like this help PD bring free content to the game long after most of us purchased GT7. PD aren't out of touch with their fanbase - many in the fanbase simply don't understand the financial realities of the videogame business.
A more cogent argument would be to say it's now time to start charging for DLC to increase the quantity of monthly content. I wouldn't disagree, but that is not going to happen this far into GT7's lifecycle. For GT8 it could well be a GAAS and we'll have to pay for cars, tracks, wheels, cosmetics and so on.
In the meantime we have to accept GT7 will likely be supported for another year or so. But updates will be more sparse or target particular events. PD know exactly what cars and tracks the fanbase want - that was demonstrated with Spec II. But there comes a point where it doesn't make financial sense to give that away in GT7 when GT8 is well into development.
It honestly seems like Kaz and PD are making some kind of weird… rich person club simulator, but all these rich suits aren’t going to be playing this game, they are going to be out there buying real cars so I don’t get it. It’s like they forgot they are supposed to be making a video game.
@@jaglemans6778selling a 5k$ watch to people who play a racing game sim is DEFINITELY out of touch. idk about you Mr. Moneybags, but i’m not rolling in dough
@@AntonyRaiola It's pretty much guaranteed GT8 will have a whole new roster of Gr.1, Gr.2, Gr.3, Gr.4 cars including Hypercar, GT500, GT3, GT4. That's exactly what GT Sport included - with GT7 carrying most over - while they delivered on the most desired road cars like the LFA, 959, NISMO 400R etc.
It's fine for people to complain about a particular update. But we need to stop with the hyperbole as it just makes people look entitled. It's possible to be constructive and understanding about why PD offer certain things.
@@jaglemans6778 You’re on some copium my man. Almost 90% of this entire game is carry over content from the last game. The entire roster of GTE and Lemans cars is like a decade old almost. We’ve got like the 2011-2018 roster of cars. 2 years and they’ve added 1 Gr.1 car, 1 Gr.2 car, and 5 Gr.3 car (2 are updated models, One is a fake VGT and the Super Silhouette Skyline isn’t even a real GT3 car at all) only actual new model of car we got is the BRZ.
So we get to complain it’s totally WARRANTED, the handling of this game has been really BAD, compared to what we used to get. I’m not saying it’s a bad game, I’m saying it’s HANDLED BADLY.
Also it’s is pretty much NOT guaranteed. Nobody knows what they are going to do for the next game. If anything it seems to me like Kaz just wants to keep milking deals with his car manufacturer friends on this title.
i think they should make manufacturer updates, imagine if this updates were just suzukis, that could have been fun, imagine the ignis in this game
I cannot even begin to explain just how, literally, DEADLY that VGT at Monza would be. The human brain is not capable of processing the dual visual aspect in a love setting whilst travelling at that speed. You would have to outcomes: 1; Your brain fails to process the input your optical nerves ( eyes) try to send it and misses a corner causing a crash. 2; Sensory overload would ( likely) lead to a seizure - more likely - leading to your death
Bruh I just got gt7 and the day it came I sprained my foot
Absolutely would not want PD to move toward a “pay for new stuff” model, however there should be more tracks and real cars, especially given GT’s history. It would be nice to have more transparency into what PD is thinking because there really seems to be some mismatch between that and what fans want. Or maybe I’m just spoiled because I mainly play Sport mode 🤷
I really wish they'd stop messing around with VGT and instead add more GT3 and WEC/IMSA cars and maybe a track or 2 like VIR or Kyalami.
Watch as shit ass Forza has some kinda deal not letting those be in GT
or maybe road cars that are more relevant to car culture
@@cheezywheezy526nah, time for some racecars.
WEC cars for me please!
@@UnfeelingEmperor road cars. Just play competizone if you want more race cars. GT is literally the closest thing to a sim that actually tries to give us diverse road cars...
the update we did not deserve, but the update we did not need or wanted
I agree update we want cota and Indy newer gr3 and 4 cars
I want the old Tokyo ss stages and the London city track. I would defo pay for a large update if it had classic tracks and some of old fav cars
Honestly I want all the old city tracks and then some. They were great.
Agreed, the old city tracks were fantastic, and a lack of them was a huge reason why I no longer play GT7 regularly. I hate their excuse of them being too time-consuming to make, wish that Polyphony would have taken the time to add at least a couple more, since no new ones even 7 years after the launch of Sport and Tokyo Expressway is really disappointing.
Yes i would love tight street circuits
To be honest, i like the VGT cars but only useful ones, however i would greatly prefer more actual cars rather than these.
Yeah I don’t mind them but I’d rather historical cars or get LM cars than a fictional car made by a luxury goods brand
VGTs are nonsense in a game that calls itself "The Real Driving Simulator", it's like an FPS calling itself "The Real Military Simulator" while including plasma cannons and space lasers
@@Anon-vu2jxagree
@@Anon-vu2jx What you just said makes zero sense.
Rubbish Game
Monaco/Cote de Azur and pikes peak hillclimb are two tracks I really want to come back
They need to add more tracks, and tracks that people actually want to see, i.e - Sepang, Mugello, Monaco/Côte d’Azur, Silverstone, Assen, Motegi, Imola, the list goes on and on.
I’m all for paying for a new game but new features would be worth it rather than the VGT catalogue and a Jimny…
Who wants these concept cars?
They're interesting, but they shouldn't be the main focus of any updates to "The Real Driving Simulator".
no one
Kaz
Probably just a cheap out way of adding cars without paying more licensing
Nobody, this is the one thing that i hate about modern gran turismo games
It's a disappointing update, but let's remember they had the update where they slashed all the race rewards and then bricked the game. That was actually bad rather than just disappointing.
Rubbish Game
Lets applaud fish for swimming
How do you know Steve is a different sim racer than the average guy? He didn't already know you could cut the Monza track. Good on you Steve, you are a better man than most!
I don’t have an issue with the VGT. Gran Turismo has always had concept cars and some of these VGT have already either previewed or gone on to inspire actual cars such as the Chiron, Supra , Lexus LC500 and Solus GT to name a few. The issue is if they’re spending too much time modeling these cars instead of cars people want. Odds are they’re probably saving most new content for GT8 which is no doubt in development.
The problem with VGT was put super well by another youtuber a while back. They're cars made solely for Gran Turismo, that are utterly useless inside of Gran Turismo.
There's way too many of them, their handling and speed is cartoonish and unrealistic, most of them don't even have modelled interiors, and none of them have any business being in a game that claims to be "the real driving simulator"
I fully agree with what y'all are saying about the VGT's and GT8, that beast is definitely in development at this point
@@julianturberfield7101to be fair a lot of VGTs were not made for GT7. Its bad game design on GT7’s part, not necessarily the VGT… if there were more kinds of races for different PP brackets they wouldn’t be useless. You could say the Lamborghini Aventador is as useless as a VGT for example, no races to use it in.
@@julianturberfield7101 that's a complete lie LOL Some of them are amazing and some of the most unique cars in GT. Most of them suck though, NGL
if the suzuki jimny is the highlight of the update there is an issue
Oi, don't talk about the Jimny like that!
Jimny was cool asf tho come on
I don’t have a PlayStation so Gran Tursimo isn’t an option, but when compared to other game’s update process it definitely seems like Polyphony isn’t trying to money grab.
Call of Duty for example releases updates that just fix a broken game or break it even more. Any addition to content on a yearly basis they market as a whole new game and charge you $70 for it.
Any additional content like guns, skins, etc. costs on average $15 per skin.
So the worst update for Gran Turismo is still the best update for most other games nowadays 😂
Very true! It's all perspective innit?
Imagine us having to be happy because other brands are shit. And im pretty sure they are money grabbing but from these companies. Its much more worth having these companies pay so you as a player dont have to. I would guess its not worth putting resources into a dlc which will never be well received because of the monetization. Much better to have these brands pay and they still profit nevertheless and we dont complain too much because they are not charging either
@@pedrosilvaproductions Yo you also make a very valid point!! Why should we have to settle right? Just because other brands (Forza, The Crew, NFS) always go all in on the dlc packs and such.
I still do think there's a value in appreciating that these updates are free though. I'm certainly not disappointed there are suddenly three new cars in the game I can use. (Even though I'll probably never use them) :p
So tired of those Vgt cars…. Hate em!
no soul in the entire universe would buy the watch to get a car in gt7
What I really want to see is PD integrate Sophie AI fully into the campaign. Quick races against Sophie is some of the most fun I've had in single player, and the default AI is borderline unplayable in comparison.
Agreed
PD is out of touch with the fan base. So unfortunate we get the most garbage updates. Why is there no more GT3 cars? Why no tracks? Sad.
Nobody wants Vision or Concept cars.... why are they still going down that way?
money from car brands ! that easy
The manufacturers are paying good money to be there. Kaz has lost sight of what GT used to be. Still no LeMans endurance race.
Never say 'nobody wants them', you're not voicing the opinion of every player
I can be assuming things here but i guess its because they brands pay more than any of us buying the game are worth to them. Why make an effort to try and get 2 or 3 hundred thousand copies more when you can insert the cars and get the money. They know the cars are shit, but its publicity and easy money to make im sure
We have to remember, whether we like it or not, Gran Turismo is an automotive showcase and not just a racing game. It's about car culture, history, and in the case of VGTs, concepts in a virtual space. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan, but I get their approach. If you just want to just race cars, we are all aware of the other sim options. 😉
Would love to see some more up to date super and hypercars like Tesla Plaid, Lucid, some Koenigsegg cars, McLaren Senna, P1, 720s, 765LT, Ferrari SF90, Lamborghini SVJ, more BMW m models, etc.
the jimny is a win for me. i still hope for some older mitsubishi models. like the Mitsubishi Eclipse '90-95. never was in a car game before but still used today for drag racing. and i would like to drive my car in gran turismo(this is what gran turismo is meant to be for me since i was a little kid.)
at this point i would even buy a car dlc for some older and cooler mitsubishi models.
and we need some subaru impreza wagons!!!
they should replace every visiongt car with cool 80s and 90s cars!
We want the old tracks back. Autumn Ring, Eiger Nordwand, Complex String, cape Ring, London, Rome, Cote d'Azur, Midfield, Seattle, Tokyo R246, Apricot Hill...
6:45 is the best cornering I have ever seen, sensational driving.
unbelieveable how well this thing grips!
It was top draw 😎
I see this as a potential money farm if there's any events that has more fewer track limits
BOP changes and Split Screen is fixed, its one of the best updates
What was fixed in split screen?
They didn't touch Gr4 which has the actual BOP issue lol
I really don't understand how a game that is uptaded for free once a month has this amount of complainnings about the FREE updates...
I'm with you on adding classic circuits. The occasional nostalgia update is always a good move imo. Like imagine SSR5, Tokyo R246, Midfield and the original Grand Valley in the same update 🤯
I preferred to exchange all these VGTs for one good M3 e36, Volvo V60 Polestar 2016, Volvo 850R (btcc) Alfa Romeo 147-156 GTA, Audi RS3, Megane R26, Golf 5 R32 etc etc. I don't know who likes these VGT cars??
Game is fun but there's a reason I have it uninstalled. Just takes up a lot of space and there's really no reason at this point to care unless you have a great setup. As a controller player I just find myself not getting any better and just not having fun. Daily races I'm not going to win aren't enough to keep me interested. Give us an update with B-Spec and I'll care.
Do I know anything about cars? No. Do I play Gran Turismo? No Did I watch this video? Yes
I'll be completely honest with you. This new update really fucking sucks
Steve: "can I have the watch?"
GT: "Yes."
Steve: "And the car?"
GT: "No."
He could buy a car if he sold the watch.
I would be way happier with paid DLC that is more regular than hoping every month for a new track and just being disappointed. I get it takes time to make these tracks but if they would charge money for 3 tracks and bring a new one that's free every few months that would be awesome
VGTs would be much better received if it felt like you could use them in more events.
As an ACC player on PC, I'm still jealous of Gran Turismo. It looks like a great game
I actually really enjoy the new jimny, especially tuned, lifted, and softened on rally tracks. The physics are to me, sufficiently realistic. It leans and absorbs jumps more realistically than the group B cars, and when you put slicks on it it will traction roll on tarmac, just like any high COG vehicle does in real life. It does require a change of perspective from "going fast is fun" to "this is more realistic and so it's fun". To be honest, it had me going to all of the rally circuits just to redrive them because there is actual suppleness to the suspension, catchable slides on bumps, and realistic jumping behavior. Previously I avoided the rally tracks like the plague because the physics have been so unrealistic.
VGT is a cool platform for junior car designers and it produces some interesting cars however I don't think it should have as much focus, it should be simply an addition to the game rather than a key part of the updates.
paid DLC for cars would work for tracks not so much because it would break the Daily races being available to all
I think the game is still on a great trajectory. But there needs to be some fresh ideas to make use of the content that is already available. Is there any reason there are no more endurance events? Updates to Sophy? Maybe some extended license tests about race strategy or something race related. There's so much untapped features that could enrich the existing content of the game.
The game will soon be renamed "Gran Bulgari Turismo VGT Spec III!
I have more connection with Sweet Tooth’s ice cream truck than with VGT.
Huuuge dissapointment from PD. Think its time we demand more from them. Weekly races are shit just the same over and over booooring. If they add cars need to be the right ones not this shit VGT cars, we need tracks from the OG GT games. AI need to get better and get rid off rolling starts. Endurance races need to get back i would like to see 4+hrs up to 24. Get rid of the roulets or make something better, not difficult. Where is the GT2 races in this game???? Only gt3 and lmp, groupe 1
I think the beauty of GT7 is also its bane. The amount of detail they put in the car models and the tracks costs a lot of resources. This can't fully explain why old circuits are not in the game but I guess it explains to e large extent why we don't always get the latest (newest) cars in the game (road and race cars).
So they gave you a £4,500 watch but not a free QR code that you will barely use the car from?
All of the GT7 online players paying a monthly fee gives PD regular income, so it stands to reason that track and car updates could continue to be developed.
Back in the day of Sony Digital (Everquest) you would have to pay per month to play online, plus you'd have to pay for content expansion. Over time the earlier content packs would be rolled in for free, but if you wanted the latest you always had to pay something.
it’ll be GT8 and the current GT3s in the game will still be the main GT3s in use. even Lexus will (finally) have a new model 2025. LOL
Comments complaining about GT7 and the hope they’re developing GT8. Talk about throwing good money after bad 😂
I watch you from Brazil🇧🇷, even though I don't understand 50% of what you say (sorry for the bad English)
It’s free, so I can’t complain much. It’s lame not getting a new circuit and no GT3 cars, but hopefully next month will be a big one since this month’s was lackluster.
Totally agree - go and create 10 cars, Lambo Revuelto, Ferrari SF90, G63, New M3/M4, some of the newer GT3 cars etc... and release it for like £10. I wouldn't complain at all... I think the current model is quite closely tied to the idea of people buying credits with real money - but realistically who is doing that?
How is the current model tied to buying credits? I have 262 cars, with a couple 20 million credit ones, all earned just by playing the game, and rarely online races. As a casual gamer, there's been no barrier to buying anything. Your suggestion is to implement paid DLC, instead of getting it for free and having a choice to play the game to earn credits or pay to shortcut it
I'd rather get free DLC and not have to pay real money, and play the game to earn stuff. You know....the whole point of videogames. I'm fairly sure you bought the Oblivion horse armour and didn't complain at all
@@privateeromally7347 Dude, of course you want free stuff but what he's saying is the devs probably aren't making much money off credit sales. They're a company who can't just keep pumping out free stuff forever so how do they make money?
@@privateeromally7347 I think you’ve misunderstood the rationale behind my suggestion a bit tbh… I appreciate your viewpoint and I don’t disagree - credits are not a problem, earning them is easy… which is exactly why I said “who is doing that?”
Where I’m coming from though relates to the fact that this content update is pretty laughable, and I would like to see them do a hell of a lot more with the game before they move onto GT8 and abandon it.
All games nowadays, have to earn money post-launch in some way… As a developer I know too well how important post-launch monetisation is now. There is no escaping that fact. What Im less of a fan of, is this idea of drip feeding poorer and less content for free, struggling to keep the game alive and instead increasing the grind and monetising the game through the purchase of in-game currency or cosmetics.
CoD is a good example - I would argue 10 years ago when they released map packs for £10 4 times per year, the game was a hell of a lot better than the seasonal approach they now have, where monthly content is delivered (and less of it). I just feel the same is true here with GT7… their current model is totally relying on generating post launch revenue through credit purchases alone; so thats how the current model is tied to that? Car packs would be a good way to inject a bit more life into it imo. If they want money for it then fine, I’d gladly pay it, and Im sure they would make more cash too as I doubt anyone in their right mind is paying $20 for 2 million credits.
And no, I didnt buy the horse armour ;)
@@privateeromally7347 Yeah, I don't think you fully grasped the rationale behind my suggestion here as @Channy132 says, but I totally get your viewpoint. I'm simply making the observation that EVERY game is now built with ideas for post-launch monetisation in mind... I work as a game dev myself and cant stress how early in production the Directors are already shoehorning in stuff to ensure any titles longevity as an income stream (sadly just how it has gone). Credits are piss easy to make and I love the grind, thats not my argument at all?
Personally, I'm just not really a fan of the approach modern games take - lets take CoD for example; nowadays, DLC maps are added to those games for free, but are drip fed... 1 or 2 every 3 months... whereas 10 years ago, fans would have instead had the option to pay £12 or something and get 4 maps, a new gun and a zombies map or whatever - I would argue that THAT is a far better way to support a game and keep it alive... as this approach of drip-feeding free content, and monetising games through other means (IE in-game currency that you can purchase to save on play time or fast-track progress) usually means we get delivered a lot less in terms of meaningful content and new stuff. Whether we like it or not, Polyphony chose a similar model here, they chose to offer the purchase of in-game currency, and build their entire game around trying to promote that to casual players or people who are maybe a little lazy/short on time, rather than maybe putting in more effort to create premium vehicle lineups or tracks that the fans truly want, so that we'll pay for it.
Whilst it is nice to get stuff for free, I believe GT7 could be in a lot better state, with a lot more buzz and excitement surrounding it if they released a couple of car packs, similar to Forza or something. I guarantee you when it comes to post-launch support with games, when fans are paying for access to something, it always results in improvements in quality - we would undoubtedly see a lot more cars added... why in a racing game, is that a bad thing?
@@Channy132 Precisely yeah, and if the money dries up then the support for the game dies... Star Wars Battlefront 2 is a great example of this. The amount of free content added to that game in the end was crazy, but nobody cared to pay for the cosmetics so it was abandoned in a state that left a lot of the fans disappointed, as there was still so much additional content that could have been added.
Feel like there is a danger here of similar happening with GT7 - there are so many extra cars and tracks we'd like to see... they need to make money in some way to keep the game alive, so why not offer some car packs or something full of vehicles that have been highly requested by the fans and charge for it if need be. I would much rather that, than the Suzuki Jimney being the headline vehicle in a free update...
I really like the Jimny. It handles really nicely on dirt and snow which definitely could make for a fun experience against other players.
Gran Turismo concepts of old were cool because they were limited in quantity and weren't placed at the forefront of the experience. In GT7 it feels very forced, and a clear contrast to what a majority of the fanbase wants. Tbh I'd take fresh models of old production cars over concept cars that only their creators truly resonate with.
The problem with these updates is that Kaz said GT7 will be improved in the long term.
This game was released with a lack of single player content and the whole GT tradition of progression was gone. People complained about microtransactions but the problem was the lack of events to earn money or events to even use cars that you bought. I don't think anybody thinks the Cafe menu system is better than GT1-6. GT Sport's GT League was better, it had the traditional GT events menu with cool familiar art and even had more events than GT7. The world circuits menu should not be a substitute for the traditional race events of the past 7 main GT games.
The VGT program is cool but they should not be treated the same or in higher respect than real cars. GT6 did this the best I think, you got a seasonal event with prizes with each new VGT car and I think you got a mini video on the making of the car in game. Most important of all, they were not shoved in your face in regular races or as regular prizes.
Kaz and PD seem so disconnected from the fans and think everybody will like whatever they make.
where are the famous Lancer Evolution 7-8-9 !!!!????????????? plz give us those
10:00 to answer that question, in the case of Horizon 5, the devs do a monthly stream announcing all the new cars being added as well as any dlc and each week you can unlock 1-3 newly added cars for free after doing a few challenges. The system is a bit flawed since it can take months before the reward cars are available again and many cars are recycled cars from older games but I still see it as a superior system of adding content consistently compared to GT7
Super gt I have a question for u man I have been trying to make my own gran Turismo content and I been putting alot of work into my videos but I just keep getting 0 views and in my opinion their as good if not better than most of the viral videos on gt that I see so if u could give me any tips I'd really apriciate it

As soon as I saw you can put a 1400hp Windsor in a Raptor and the LFA engine in a minivan I knew this was a meme update and not one to be taken seriously.
Wait ... sooo you got the watch (no matter if it was a gift or not) but didnt get the friggin QR code??? Are they mental? XDDD
The update is mid... like the scapes addition, the eng swaps are dope! And the café menus are cool!
If i wanted to drive fake cars id play some goofy arcade racer. A game that tries to be as serious as gran turismo just comes off as silly when they add these vgt cars, which lets face it, are just ads for all these companies that wanna shoehorn their name into the game
Not played GT7 in weeks, I'm into EA WRC Clubs mode these days. Much more fun
The game is dead, I've uninstalled it. Kaz is more interested in Vision GT and his circle of rich buddies than his fanbase, and I don't want any part of it.
i saw someone selling a used jimmny for 3k euro and i thought of buying it to go fishing, but after watching this i might as well buy the 5k watch to have a fake car in a video game.
I did a 2:24.398 in the RX-8 Nurburgring time trial! Nice to know that I just got started on GT7 and I'm only a second down on SuperGT himself 😉
I feel like the thing that pisses me off a tad is that we have a whole new generation bmws and mustangs they could put in and we got this instead :/ cars I no desire for at all
Why cant they add cars that are easy to get their hands on? This feels like a Minecraft update, happens every couple of months for a very small amount gained
I’d just like to see the Mitsubishi Evo IX MR added… I feel that generation of the Evo was the best body style of the 4G63. I do love the boxier lines of the older VI as well, so don’t hate me :)
Generally yes but after earthquakes and plane crash in Japan it might justify the size of this update

Ah yes just what everyone wanted a car locked behind an expensive watch, did anyone get it?
Why aren't they adding more gt3 cars

Hello, I am currently using the Thrustmaster T80 Wheel. I am considering upgrading to Fanatec dd pro, but considering the price I can buy both psvr2 and also the logitech G923 or similar. Can anyone guide me on this?. I am really confused. FYI, I only play online races and rarely touch the regular cafe menus.
I think if the VGT cars had all had to have been designed around a set of restrictions that made them all comparable in performance so you could actually race them they would maybe be more popular, but as it stands right now it just feels like some manufacturers took it seriously and some really didn't care resulting in no consistency between all of them making them basically worthless.
Yay chase cam! I know it's odd to drive with it, but as a viewer it's nice to see the cars you're driving from time to time 🎉
I think it's cool to see different designs with the VGTs but main problem for me is that they mostly feel and sound the same especially the more mid performance ones.
Atleast they finally fixed split screen mode in this update.
I’d like to see a GT7 A-Spec. PS5 only DLC where it’s a game update for 24 drivers in sport mode, tracks, cars, a daily race d… greater use of the day/night cycles in races & weather.
Remember when they said that they were adding endurances such as 24h ones almost 2 years ago? I remember.
I would prefer concept cars over the VGT cars. Like the VW Nardo, Cadillac Cien, or even the more modern Hyundai N Vision 74
Omg he is so critical by only looking at it for 4 seconds 😂
the split screen feature is fix, that's a good one i think
I only clicked for the jimney. 😂 love that thing.
VGT means nothing to me and I wish they weren’t a thing.
Hello super, ViewersGT here.

Look, as a new player, I just want to be able to buy ACTUAL parts from the "race shop" when entering a race so I don't have to continually exit 3 screens to go back to the Tune shop. 😂😂
In Gt5 and 6 you were able to buy parts in the tuning menu before races, it was really useful in online lobbies idk why they got rid of it
@@gkan1042 Yea I have no idea why they got rid of it either. It was useful. A few weeks into the game and I feel like I do a LOT or unnecessary clicking and going back, clicking again, and going back. All pavilions should be available on the quick menu on the left as well.... Imho.
There's just some UI and fluidity changes I'd like to see lol
Try testing different rims...Grrrrrrrr
@@rudedudester THAT TOO! Major pain in the ass lol. The other thing I hate is being forced to make a comment in the comment box when I save a paint scheme or livery lol.
Can't even test car paints on the actual car you want to change colour on 🙄🤌
I'm a designer so appreciate the VGT cars especially because VR2 offers a level of viewing and detail second to none. Also the collaboration between Polyphony and almost all car manufacturers could be an interesting insight into the future of the automotive industry as a whole. As the film stated this is the space where today's and tomorrow's car fanatics are and sadly less so in the international car shows that are slowly dying. Hopefully as time moves forward more sponsorship will come from the auto industry to help further develop Gran Turismo keeping it as the 'free' simulator with infinite content. Only time will tell. I will add that although I love the addition of the VGT cars there are only a handful I find useful on track meaning I understand a lot of the frustration from the community. With all said and done though this is a racing simulator and that's what we're all doing when we're in it, so if truth be told Polyphony should be focusing on proper race cars from the past to the present day and into the future with the 'racing' VGT's and the Red Bulls. Everything else should be secondary. And finally, I can't see a GT8 coming out for a very long time, not even for the PS6, and considering this is using the GT Sport engine and architecture anyway they should keep giving us content new and old to keep us in the game. Keep up the good work Super GT!
Just watched the video about the designing of the Genesis VGT and really cool to see your comment. Figured that the cars would be loved by those who live for designing cars, creating them, and shows that Polyphony truly respect that side of the automotive industry. Motorsport IS a sport first and foremost, but a lot of people seem to forget the capacity for it to be ART. Hence, I think, part of the reason why the clumsy commercial link with Bvlgari was made. But I would rather that, than another generic, faceless, personality-less sim or sim adjacent game. We can complain all we want but GT7 is by far the most unique and interesting "sim" out there. Guess it's time for their next update to go back to the "sport" side of it all though.
Great philosophy@@sakura_arcand very kind words! Gran Turismo does seem to be attempting an all encompassing approach to car culture in general so should be interesting to see where they go with it, all whilst keeping the core racers happy of course. See you on track!
I don't know how i feel about the genesis having its rear view as a full length display on the dash below the windshield
Nothing is that bad that it can’t get worse… 😂
Pikes peak track, gravel and tarmac versions, would be nice. It would make great online sprints
The Genesis Berlinetta looks real nice in my opinion. Some other VGT’s are up there as well since I use some of them quite often.
I would love for them to finally put Circuit of the Americas in the game. Would also love Circuit de Paul Richard and Gilles Villeneuve. Probably asking too much.
